So after taking my car to my local ny vw mentioned the chk engine goes on and than shuts off every so often. When I brought it to my dealer of course ...it went away. Asked to look at it and they performed my 50k service and said no issues w/ the car. Sure enough turns out 2 days later the engine light goes on again. Being at the jersey shore for the weekend I decided to go to my nearest vw dealer. Ended up @ world vw. I walk in no appt. my chk engine light was on but than when I got there it miraculously went away, I'm thinking here we go again. I figured may as well let them look at it. Dylan greeted me w a smile and asked if I mind waiting for a half hr as they were busy. I tell him sure nothing bothers me more than a chk engine light on my gti. Now my '12 gti is out of warranty being it has 54000 miles but I was willing to pay for the repair being its a vw authorized dealer. So the tech scanned some codes and turns out my intake manifold went bad (why the ny tech didn't find that not sure). I'm thinking how much is this gunna set me back? Dylan shared the great news that its covered under warranty and they have the part in stock. He did say its 4 hrs of labor so I would need to leave the car the rest of the day which I didn't mind as I wanted it fixed. Just as I'm about to call an Uber Dylan arranged a driver to take me back home. sure why not spent the next few hrs at the beach and 430 I get a call from Dylan that his driver is on the way to take me back to the dealer! Coming from an overpopulated ny dealer I became accustomed to lackluster customer service. These fine folks really setting the tone, coffee, bagels chips and most importantly the feeling that they really do care. So for my next service its worth an hr drive for me and guess what...next summer when its time for me to trade in my gti for a golf r guess were ill be going...straight to world vw Thanks for a pleasant experience
I have had my VW GTi for almost 4 years and have 116,000 miles on it. I have had it serviced at world the entire time. They keep the vehicle running l...ike it's brand new. Lauren Daidone Is my service advisor and she is one of the most knowledgeable VW employees I have ever met. She is always looking out for my best interest. Lauren always makes sure I get the best service that is possible. She is the reason why I go back to World. Also Lyndsey PeQueen Who is always there to make sure I get my vehicle in when Its convenient for me. Also takes care of all my need if I am without my GTi. I would not go anywhere else to have my VW serviced
