I bought a used 2015 GMC Denali from Don Davis. My whole Saga started with a check engine light in March 2017. Finally fixed in April 2018. It went... kind of like this replaced a switch, replaced ECM, replaced parts in transfer case, examined transfer case again, wiring harness failed (probably from being taken apart so many times -their thought) replaced entire wiring harness, replaced transfer case (finally fixed). Could have lived with all this - warranty coverage is a process - if they would not have told me the following - I guess as an attempt to pacify me. Service consultant told me he would have the sales manager look at the vehicle and see what he could do to get me out of the vehicle. Never heard from the sales manager. Service consultant asked me if the sales manager ever got with me and I told him no. He indicated that he was under the impression that he talked to me. He indicated he would talk to him again. Ha ! of course I never heard anything. Even this did not bother me too much because I never expected them to come up with a reasonable deal to get me out of the truck. However, the fact that I was told they would work on it and the lack of call was a bit irritating. The one thing I asked for was that the extended warranty I purchased with the vehicle still under the 3yr, 36,000 mile warranty be extended time wise since they started the time running on it the day I purchased the vehicle and not when it got to 36,000 miles. I was told this should be no problem and the service manager was working on it. Then I was told the service manager should be able to get something done through GM and he should have something in done a couple of days. Then when they finally replaced the transfer case and I picked my truck up the service consultant asked me if the service manager had gotten with me. The answer was no. and he said let me go talk to him, upon his return he indicated the service manager should have something for me on Monday. Crickets - never heard from them. phone messages and texts have not been responded to. I feel lied to.
Leta Wisenbaker my sales person I have followed for years. She always does a great job on the sales side in answering my questions and getting the vehicle... features and pricing I desire. She is a customer advocate and gives me time to decide on what I need and want to pay for so I don't feel I am working with a sales person having to meet a quota. The repair team has really been on the job this year. All thumbs up on last service for oil change and DEF fluid and they did it quickly.
More than Happy I was about to buy my second truck from Don Davis with an overall helpful staff I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Thanks to both... the salesman and manager for making this happen. Look forward to going back in the future for outstanding service.
