Almost get myself a GTI today, but the dealer refused to honor their price at the very last minute. I had a really bad experience with Cardinaleway VW... in Corona today. The dealership has their used 2019 GTI with 5k miles on it and listed for $22,990, but when i came in, they added almost $1k dealer accessories on top of that price and told me that they could not take it off or give me any discounts. Another thing is that this car does not have everything as the dealership listed on their website. There are no Monster mats, no rear trunk cover, no second key fob, no cargo tech blocks. When I asked them where were those items that they listed on the website, and their answer was "I do not know", especially the second key fob. When I pushed them to check where was the second key fob, they told me that the previous owner still has it and they just contacted him to bring it in to them next weekend. I asked them to put in the contract that the dealership still owe me 1 key fob as proof so that i can hold them accountable if they could not give me the key fob by promised date. However, they said that they are not allowed to do that and they told me to just trust them. After all that back and forth, they agreed to throw in a Monster mat for me and promised me that they would get me the second key fob from the previous owner, I then kinda agreed on the price. After waited for 3 hours, i made it to the finance office and this was where everything went wrong. On the last page of the contract where the finance guy went over the price and monthly payment with me, I noticed the price jumped up almost $400. I told him that it was incorrect and then showed him the copy of the total price and monthly payment that we already agreed on. He called the sale manager guy over, and the sale manager said that the price difference is because of sale tax. He told me that the price we agreed earlier was not correct because i did not provide him my address. I jogged his memory and reminded him that the price we agreed on was after I provided him everything which included my address for credit check. However, he still argued with me that it was not correct, and he would not honor the price that he gave me earlier. So I stood up, walked straight out the door and would never come back to this dealership.
I came to service my Jetta - oil change, check brakes, rotate tires, etc. All was good until the end - they told if I wanted the check engine light issue... checked. What? I came to service the car! They failed to check it - but the abominable thing was the lady told me it was my fault for not telling them to check it (even though they checked the tire pressure light and cleared it - yes, without permission). Don’t buy the prepaid free service maintenance bc they’ll do the minimum to avoid fixing the car for free.
Was looking to buy a Mercedes E350 and the person was very friendly but since i live that far from the location the car needed to be shipped to me and... after the taxes and delivery the amount was out of my reach !
I received a software recall notice in the mail. When I arrived I questioned it and was assured it was just to clear some fault codes. Against my better... judgement I went ahead with it plus an oil change. 8 hrs later and several phone calls on when it would be done my car was ready. After picking it up a noticed I wasn't getting the gas mileage as before, nor was it shifting as before. I have had this car for 4 years so I should know. Not to mention the grease left on my glove box when they removed my registration card and left it on the seat. I will be returning tomorrow to speak with the service manager and have them clean the grease. Sadly I really like my Passat and was looking at a Tiguan.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Upfront and not pushy. Joann and Bryan were our sales people on a used Mazda 3. Samir and Andrew helped us in finance. I also... felt everyone in the building was genuinely helpful and just in a good work environment. We called ahead after being so frustrated and done with other dealers telling you one thing and then adding on thousands of dollars after making us wait and wasting our precious time. Joann worked on the price and got it to where we needed and kept it there!!!! Amazing! We drove the 45 minutes in friday night traffic to be refreshed with pleasant people and service, and a wonderful car! These people are the real deal and the opposite of the stereotypical sleezy car sales person. Thank you to everyone at CardinaleWay Volkswagen!
CardinaleWay VW, Corono CA is falsely advertising VW vehicles. They acknowledge to deceiving the customers and are understating their prices on car websites... and their own website. They charge over $900 dollars for accessories that is not advertised nor optional, but is a mandatory charge, surely that should be included in the price? The scary thing is, you are only informed of these mandatory charges only when you are ready to pay. I wish VW could stop with the deceiving and just focus on being an honest company. I have no idea how the staff at the dealership can think its okay to deceive people. Maybe if you thinking of buying a car, buy it from somewhere else. Its not worth driving out to them, they probably just "deceiving you"
Beware of this place. I am helping a friend buy a car and she has cash. We saw a great deal this site. We emailed to get a final Cash price out the... door price with tax and license and after me having to email a few time, we finally find out it was WAY higher than other VW dealerships. When i brought it up to Brian Dulaney the internet manager he said the add $995 to their cars. I replied that thats a joke that other certified Dealerships DON'T do this he replies "LOL WHAT DO YOU MEAN?". Implying that I am the crazy one. These people are a scam and not like other VW dealerships.
Gloria the sales agent was definitely a joke ! She lied all along from the phone conversation and at the dealership. It was like she was playing hide and... seek with my family.
Ryan and Arsenio gave me the same deal I was quoted and where great to work with. Got a great deal on a 2018 GTI.
So far the experience is pleasant And always very curtious. All that is waiting is my wire and I am most likely too deal with this car facility
