Buyer Beware! John Johnson Select’s service department supposedly takes every used vehicle they sell and does a multi-point inspection. Beware that inspection... is not as thorough as you’d hope. Our family found a 2015 Honda CR-V, through CarGuru’s, there. We flew into NJ to take delivery of the car, and the car wouldn’t start. After working with it, they assured us it was the battery and an aftermarket alarm that was removed. 48 hours later, the car’s starter was dead. Even though the problem happened at the dealership, they “assured” us it was fixed and in roadworthy condition. It obviously was not. When I sent them the repair bill, they basically told me anything that happens when you drive the car off the lot is not their problem. We are now out hundreds of additional dollars. I highly recommend you find another dealership as John Johnson Select is not ethically sound.
I went to John Johnson Dodge in July looking for a under Jeep Grand Cherokee. I could not have asked for a better experience with the beautiful facility... and the helpful staff. I had a hassle-free, friendly experience when choosing and purchasing my vehicle. Sandra Keiper communicated with me via email prior to my visit so she knew just what I was and what I wasn’t looking for in a vehicle and an experience. I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee the day of my visit in July 2019 and could not be happier with the vehicle and the experience. I recommend John Johnson Dodge to all my friends and family looking for a new or used vehicle!
Our drive back to central PA, after visiting your dealership, was uneventful despite several traffic jams. Let me tell you my wife and I simply love the... 2015 Jeep, Freedom Edition we purchased; so, thank you Matt for helping us acquire the aforementioned vehicle. It was one of the best buying experiences I/we have ever had.
So I am the one who recently gave this dealership a ONE STAR because of my "Certified Pre-Owned" 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. I have to come back here because... just as my title says, "They Have Redeemed Themselves!!!" I returned the following Saturday and I have to say because of Scott, Vince and Sandy, I am writing this survey. Scott, first of all, went above and beyond helping me replace the first van I purchased. He was extremely kind on the phone and even kinder in person. I truly felt he cared about my situation and wanted to see me in a safe, CPO van. I did end up getting a different van which is perfect. I always say, things happen for a reason, why this happened I don't know but one day I will. Vince took care of me in the finance area and went over everything so clearly and professionally. He explained every piece of paper I was signing and answered all of my questions. I actually trust Vince, yes there I said it, I actually trust someone at a dealership and you should too! Now Sandy is by far, the most thorough saleswoman I have dealt with. (Vince is a great salesman but no longer sells cars)Talk about someone who knows her vehicles !!! She answered all of my questions and then some. She was patient, concerned, understanding and very helpful. So I must say these 3 people and only these 3 people were able to turn my frown, upside down!!! Let me tell you, I was pretty irate with this dealership but I want to say that mistakes can be fixed because they did the right thing in the end. My advice, go to Vince with any issues, use Sandy as your salesperson and in the end stop in and visit with Scott because he is approachable and has the ability to reassure you everything is going to be ok.
Wonderful experience at Johnson Automotive Group. Delighted with our purchase ( 2017 Jeep Summit). Our sales consultant Jenn was top-notch. Answered... all our questions and then some. No pressure or typical phoney dealer tactics. Would recommend to family and friends. Keep up the good work!!
I am so angry and upset. We went to John Johnson on rt 46 Hackettstown, NJ on a Saturday to look at a car and at first Tony Moretti was nice and he showed... us the 2011 Chevy Equinox we were impressed with it. The loan officer was nice and was willing to work with us but had to get back to us on Monday. So it gave us time to see reviews and after reading reviews about the car it wasnt for us. We met Tony Moretti on Monday to get our deposit back. We said we would be back and he flat out and told us dont bother to come back that we were wasting his time. I told him to go f himself. So be careful if you deal with him cause if you dont buy a car from him your wasting his time.
Jenn made the car buying experience very easy. I got exactly what I wanted and she was able to work out payments that work with my budget. Thank you!

Bad bad experience buying a car here they sold us a car with so many problems been 2 months since return an nothing as been done an they didnt wanna... fix it and offer try offing us a car wayyyy less than what we spend an the man in charge is very disrespectful to both us on employee
