My 2008 CRV was serviced at Page Honda Bloomfield yesterday for an oil change, and back today unexpectedly for a problem with acceleration from a stop... or nearly stopped situation. Melanie Kochanski, Service Advisor, handled my situation both days. She was professional, knowledgable, pleasant, and prompt in keeping me informed of progress today for the unexpected visit. She and her people accurately diagnosed today's problem, and fixed it without me having an appointment. My husband and I value trustworthiness and product knowledge highly. We keeping driving from Sterling Heights to Bloomfield Hills, even though other Honda dealerships are closer, because Page Honda employees have proven to be trustworthy and professional in all our dealings with them.
Online pictures looked great, dealership said there was "some wear and tear". When I arrived, and they finally got the car out of "the back", it was horrifying.... Scratches/dents/bumps on all 4 sides of the car- looked like it went through a briar patch or something. Oxidation/rust in the engine and inside of car. None of this was disclosed before I drove 3 hours to see it and took a day off work. Interior had dirt / tears /scrapes everywhere. Serious misrepresentation. Do not trust them. Make them get cars on lifts to check underneath for leaks and rust.

I recently bought a used Accord out of state and brought it to Page Honda for a service issue. The service department intake process was excellent and... they even had a courtesy shuttle van to take me home. I did not have Page Honda complete the repair. I feel like the service department purposely priced the repair service far too high to be affordable - probably because they didn't have any technicians who were capable of executing the repair on my car. I did take my car to a local independant repair center, and they were able to finish the repair quickly and for a much more reasonable cost. In fact, the repair was completed for less than 1/2 the cost quoted by the Page Honda service department. I believe that Page Honda was basically not interested in doing this repair work simply because my very low mileage car is over 10 years old. I believe they have an unwritten policy of not accepting service work on cars they deem to be "too old" so their strategy is to price the service at a ridiculously high amount to force you to go elsewhere. The service work I needed was for a clutch replacement. They quoted me $1,765.00. I had the repair completed at a local transmission shop for only $735.00. The new clutch operates perfectly and took the same amount of time to repair as the Honda dealer was estimating. Truthfully, I was looking forward to having the service completed at an official Honda service center as I am always suspicious of the quality of work performed at independent service shops. Due to this service issue, I probably won't be returning to Page Honda for service.
