My experience purchasing a vehicle from Robert Basil Buick GMC has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I purchased a used 2023 Volkswagen Atlas from this dealership not even a week ago. During the sales process I specifically asked about the condition and safety of the vehicle and was told it had passed a full inspection. I was also told the inspection report would be provided to me, which I still have not received. Two days later, I noticed a chip in the windshield that had never been discussed or disclosed prior to the purchase. I immediately contacted my salesperson and was asked to return to the dealership so their team could look at it. I made multiple trips back to the dealership, leaving work and using my personal time to accommodate their requests. During my most recent visit, the glass technician informed me that the windshield chip had already been repaired previously. This was surprising, because I had been told earlier that no one was aware of the issue. The conflicting information raised serious concerns about transparency regarding the vehicle’s condition prior to the sale. When I attempted to resolve the matter with management, I was ultimately told the dealership would not assist and that I should file an insurance claim to replace the windshield myself — less than a week after purchasing the vehicle. The tone of the conversation was also very dismissive and unprofessional, which made the situation even more disappointing. Buying a vehicle should come with a reasonable level of trust and transparency, especially from an established dealership. Instead, this experience involved undisclosed damage, multiple unnecessary trips back to the dealership, and a lack of accountability when the issue was raised. I hope dealership leadership takes the time to review this situation and improve both communication and customer service for future buyers.

My 2025 gm 2500 abruptly died in traffic 7/2/25 after
My 2025 gm 2500 abruptly died in traffic 7/2/25 after getting it going again made it home but would not turn off. Called the next day they told me to bring it in . As i drove into their shop it shut down right in front of them. It’s been 8 days sitting in there back lot with no movement. I bought 3 Brand New vehicles from this company last fall and no help . Purchased multiple vehicles in the past going to go to another dealer.!!! Smaller perhaps . Called GM and they were concerned .said it should have been checked out right away.

My experience was very good. Gavin was a good salesperson. However, I would NEVER EVER recommend a salesperson to tell ANY customer to put down $14,000 which was incredibly obscene for a down payment on a 3 year lease. You should NEVER be that hungry for a commission. My favorite salesperson that I knew for 35 years at West Herr East Aurora would never recommend that to me. That is the trust you build with your salesperson-customer relationship. If I had to do this all over again--I definitely would NOT. It was too late to back out of this deal. Basil is known for great deals, and this was definitely NOT a great deal no matter how you spin it. I was under much pressure myself to get a new car due to previous lease expiring, tariffs coming into the mix soon and my mom having cancer with only a few months to live. But, this scenario will never happen again, I will make sure of that.

I’ve leased or bought 4 vehicles from Robert Basil over the last 10 years. Madison has sold me my last 2. She’s been great. Very helpful. Always willing to find the answers to your questions. I especially like the “engine for life” warranty on used vehicles. It has come in handy a few times.

Josh was great! I called in morning...to pickup windshield wipers...picked up later in the day....and Josh helped to remove the damaged wipers and put on the new ones, he didn't have to do that. I appreciative the help and kindness. Thank you Gina Tedesco
