Carmel Motors Hours
"Bringing Fine Luxury Vehicles to Indiana at Affordable Prices!"
Alex is a horrible salesman. As the other reviews on here also state, they severely lack communication skills. They avoid answering questions about condition... of the car, then they don't get back to you and make up excuses and completely waste your time. Don't make an offer, they'll tell you that you have a deal and then leverage you against other possible buyers. I have honestly never left a review for any company or product, but this place was disappointing enough for me to go out my way to warn other consumers. Stay away!
I was attempting to purchase a Maserati from this dealership, they were very accommodating at first. Gentleman called me and assisted in a pre-purchase... inspection. After that when the findings from the inspection revealed $10k with of repairs required (A few that were major maintenance), communication broke down. I was contacted about purchasing the vehicle with a "We owe you" I live a few states away and wanted to drive up there buy the vehicle and drive back. Funds were secured, but the repairs weren't completed, and the sale was never made. Was contacted and told, the repairs were too extensive and that the car would just be returned to auction.
I don’t usually leave reviews for places but this time I felt it was well deserved. I came in looking for a car that would suit my needs and right away... was approached and helped. I talked to Chris, very straight forward and helpful, and within a short amount of time he helped me pick out the exact car I needed. I would strongly recommend it, the staff were friendly and to the point, making it a great experience.
Daniel was an awesome guy to work with and did a good job of explaining the process. Overall, great experience with the dealership
I attempted for almost a week to get full details and cost of a vehicle . A 06 Porsche Cayenne turbo. I contacted them twice via cargurus, email at least... twice , Facebook messenger and three phone calls. During my first call which I had to make as no one replied to my enquiry I gave the sales associate , Tyler . All the information he needed my end to make the purchase simple and immediate No trade in I have cash I’m motivated today to purchase Need shipping availability and cost to Nashville Tyler told he would call me back in an hour . And would email details following that Call never happened Email never happened I messaged through Facebook . Again ! No reply I call Put on hold for considerable . But that’s ok Tyler is off that today. That’s fine . I explained . I eventually get a call of another sales associate who had my requirements wrong thinking I was buying cayenne for my daughters . Nope. I had said if this deal goes well I am also looking for a car for my twin daughters. He was vague and disinterested and said “well we have had this car for a long time because it has so many issues” So ,the car was not as advertised on car gurus showing clean pictures and a glowing description of the car . Failing to mention it had many serious issues. A retail price and also suggests it is finance eligible which i did not need. Basically there is a lack of Professionalism and transparency in how carmel motors operates. I shall continue my search and shall never attempt to look at carmel motors inventory based on deplorable experience I had.
They have cars that are “sold” listed on the websites and when asked specifically about a Vehicle, that I already knew they had. They told me “No we don’t”... to my face. There “Managers” profile you the moment you walk in!
I really wanted to like this place. I had high hopes, and honestly most of the experience was pleasant. I want to be very detailed here, so bear with me.... I came to Carmel motors to purchase a BMW i3. On the test drive I noted the check engine light was on. When we returned from the test drive I asked our salesman Alex about it. He "went to the back to check" and when he returned he informed us that "This happens on the BMW when the battery and fuel levels get to low. A simple recharge of the battery will cure this." A quick google search showed that this in fact can happen, so happy with the rest of the vehicle we continued on. After signing the papers and getting in the vehicle I noticed the light was still on (I had assumed they cleared it). I went back in to speak to Alex and his exact words were "go home, charge it...if that doesn't fix it we will take care of you." Fast forward to the next day, check engine light was still on. I take the vehicle to Autozone and a quick diagnostic shows that in fact a sensor is bad. This brings about the first true concern. Either Alex and the mechanic did not run a test and just made the issue up, or they ran the test and still made something up. Either way it certainly appears that we were lied to. Now comes the second part. Hoping Alex was true to his words of "We will take care of you." I have tried repeated calls and emails. You guessed it...crickets...not so much as a call back. Now we did buy this vehicle as-is no warranty. We knew the risks associated with that, and we were comfortable. My issue is this...we would have required the issue to be fixed on the check engine light before taking ownership had we not been lied to about the source of the issue. You want to try to not think the worst of car salesmen, but then something like this happens. They sold us the vehicle under false pretenses and once it was out the door we became a distant after-thought. Here is my advice to anyone thinking of shopping there. BE WARY of whatever they tell you. I would even go as far as to suggest taking the vehicle to your mechanic before signing the papers.
This was my first car buying experience so I don’t have a lot to compare it BUT my salesman Daniel was absolutely incredible ! He helped me find the perfect... car and was extremely friendly and personable which took away the anxiety I had walking in about buying my first car. I do wish some of the added additions to the payment would have been mentioned prior to me falling in love with the car BUT it wasn’t too big of a deal and I left the dealership saturday with a BMW, a payment I cant manage, and a very good first car buying experience ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I am an out of state buyer. Save yourself a headache and visit the dealership and take a mechanic if you are not one yourself. Since I couldn't really... see the car I asked for pictures of specific items, I never received those, the salesman always had an excuse; he's on a test drive or he's off and etc. I shouldn't have trusted the guy. (The process took weeks to complete, he had time to take some pics for me) After the car arrived and while still on the truck, I could see from 20 feet away that the rotors were severely scored and upon closer view the pads were worn completely out. The truck driver warned me not to drive it until I get the brakes fixed and he was right. Many other costly items are broken and it's pretty obvious that the dealership did no inspection of the car for safety or general condition. I took the car to the local Mercedes dealership and they gave me a list of items: brake pads and rotors, mismatched and worn tires (only the trashiest dealerships would even attempt to sell cars with mismatched tires, especially those that are worn out), front struts damaged and the left one is broken, the radio doesn't work, side light broken, and body molding pieces missing. Some of these are safety items that are not acceptable. Looking online at IN codes for vehicle dealerships, their regs are very loosely worded and easy to circumvent for a sleazy dealer. In the end, it's my fault for not going to see the car. I would have still purchased the car, though I would have had these things fixed as part of the deal.
I just purchased a 2003 Lexus SC430 from this dealership and I am extremely satisfied with the entire process. I was in the market for this specific car... and located one through this site, and began talking to Tyler, who was who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The car is in incredible shape for it's age. But I asked him specifically to send me pictures of flaws that the car has. The pictures on their site are terrific but every car has a few flaws, and he sent me pics of things that we're not perfect, so there was not a single surprise in the process. I had a company inspect the car, and arranged shipment, and all went off without a hitch with open communication the entire time. Tyler communicates by phone and by text so it was really simple to coordinate everything. Even their receptionist is helpful and friendly. The paperwork is incredibly organized, they knew exactly what they were doing. When I registered the car in New York, I needed an original reassignment document versus the photocopy. I called Tyler and they sent it overnight! Had it in my mailbox the next day! This is the first time I've bought a car out of state and sight unseen and I can't imagine a smoother or more satisfying experience. Honestly better than I even expected. Thanks again Tyler.
