I have to say, I have never done a review before but this time I felt I must. I was looking for a car which actually is still for sale according to this... site. I drove down to the dealership which is not far from me to take a look. It was a Sunday and they were closed. The car looked great and so does the dealership over all. When I got home I sent an e-mail. I said I was interested and asked if he had a car fax he could e-mail me. A guy by the name of Jon replied and said he took a deposit on it. I said ok, if it falls through let me know I am interested. The deal did fall through and he sent me an e-mail back. After that I sent him 3 e-mails asking if he had a car fax he could send me and also letting him know that if we can make a deal, I am a cash buyer. It's a BMW that I was looking at and I have 3 already so I know how they drive and if we can make a deal I would buy it. I never heard back from him. I then called and left him a message. Again I never heard back. A week and a half has gone by. I then said to myself, if this how he runs the business even before you buy the car, what happens if after you buy it and something is wrong with the car. Makes you afraid to by it. It's really too bad because it looks like a nice dealership, well maintained prices are good and it's close to me and I like the selection. I did this because when you buy a car you have to have faith that if something happens you can depend on the dealership. I will let you be the judge of my experience. In the mean time, I guess I am forced to look at another place to my car. Thank you!
In a sea of Ferrari's, Maserati's, Bentley's, McLeran's and more sits Greenwich Motor Sales. After months of searching I found the car my wife wanted... there. It was used but in like new condition with all the bells and whistles. Jon was attentive and courteous and responded to all my questions quickly. The price was fair and he took car of all the paperwork and registration even though I live in NY. So if you're looking for a used car and want it to be a pleasurable experience I would go visit Jon at Greenwich Motors and see what he has to offer.
Jon was very responsive, very easy to deal with, and when I met him I had an immediate impression of honesty. I was really happy with the service I got.... He has been in business for more than 40 years, including working for his father who owned the business before Jon. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I bought a BMW and he took my old one in trade. I cannot say enough good things about my experience.
I purchased a BMW 540 from Jon about 15 years ago. It was a solid car. Based on my experience there I started bringing all my family's cars to Greenwich... Motors for maintenance and repairs. I traded in the first BMW after about 5 years and bought my second BMW from Jon too - mainly because I wanted to deal with someone I could trust. When I need work done on a car he always explains what is needed and what can wait. I'm getting ready to purchase again and Greenwich Motors is at the top of my list. Wish there were more family-owned businesses like this in general.
We bought two cars so far and have been delighted by the purchase experience and the service afterwards. The owner is of good advice and trustworthy. We... had come to him on the recommendation from a friend and am glad we did. In turn, I have already recommended owner Jon Caviola to several of my friends. Jon has a keen sense of what makes service stand out, and does not miss a beat, even if it is a little inconvenient for him. The five stars are totally deserved.
