I have had several poor customer service experiences with the service department over the past several months. Roughly on my 3rd prior oil change on my... LS 430, they stripped my original locking Lexus wheel locks and tried to get me to purchase a replacement wheel(over $1000) because one of the locks they stripped could not be removed. They said the last person who rotated them must have put them on too tight, which I told them was funny because they were the ones who rotated them the very last time before. LOL!!! I had a Greeneville shop get off the last destroyed lock for $13. So I am out a set of Lexus wheel locks for a simple oil change, but it gets better. The next time I take it in they nicked my pristine wood trim in my LS430, leaving a small indention as well as tried to con me into changing an air filter that had been replaced only 6 weeks prior and was still as white as a brand new piece of copy paper. Not to mention they lost the plastic pins that hold down the cover that goes over the air filter box. The last straw was today, when after picking the car up and getting lunch shortly after, my wife and I noticed they severely cracked the same wood panel that they nicked 2 oil changed ago, going along almost the entire length of the panel. The associate I dealt with when I came back, which was also the same person who took my car back to the service area tried to convince me that it was either already like that or I had done it myself. I thought this very rude, as I was being blamed for something they had done. I didn't even get so much as an apology. When I took him out to the car after seeing the damage he asked to see my other door panels, I assume trying to find any other similar areas to try and help absolve himself of any further responsibility. So, I made sure that he had a close look at every other piece of wood in the car(all are near flawless) so it would be undeniable that the damage could not have been caused by anyone other then one of them. I am highly disappointed with my past several experiences at JC Toyota over the past few months. This is sad, as I have been a loyal customer, regularly having my cars serviced there and even having family members purchase several vehicles from them in the past. I will not be a return customer ever again!!!
Adam went above and beyond to make our service visit exceptional! We definitely have our new Service Advisor. We sure wished the dealership had the popcorn... and fountain drinks like they used to.
Our salesman Eric was great. Not pushy and a pleasure to deal with. I believe Daniel did our loan and he was very quick and knowledgable about all of my... options as well as ironing out a few confusing details for me. All the staff was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make buying a car less painful.
My wife recently had her 2019 Highlander serviced at Johnson City Toyota. The facilities are nice and they did a good job on the 15,000 mile service.... She had a small issue with the cost and Brandon, the service manager, stepped up and did the right thing without even a bit of arm twisting. It's so nice to deal with people who see the big picture and want to earn long term, repeat business rather than quibble over nickels and dimes and turn customers off. Thank you Brandon and staff.
Rob Abdill is a sleazy salesman who will say or do anything to make the sale and then you'll never hear from him again. The whole dealership is stereotypical... car salesmen

I never ever leave reviews but this is a story worth telling. . . After driving almost 20 hours round trip to go buy a car in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania... and experiencing the worst bait and switch scam of all time, fate had me stop in Bristol, VA to rest. Despondent and exhausted, in my hotel room, I was surfing the Cars.com app and stumbled across the same model car at Johnson City Toyota. I called them 7 minutes before their 8 p.m. closing time, fully expecting to get a computerized answering service. Much to my surprise, a real live person answered the phone. The receptionist, who was an absolute angel, went out and found a salesperson (Levi Anderson) who was willing to stay after closing and wait for me to drive the 40 minutes from Bristol, VA to the Johnson City dealership. Upon my arrival, Levi met me at the door, with keys in hand. This guy wins the "Most Laid Back Car Salesman of All Time" award. Zero pressure, polite, helpful, knowledgeable. Frankie Brian, the sales manager worked with me on my trade in and gave me a fair price. He even bumped up his trade-in allowance when I bellyached about his number being too low. After Frankie and I agreed on a price, Craig Layseld comes out of a side office like a ninja (I never even knew he was in there) and before I could blink, the financing process was done. These guys worked like a well oiled machine. Less than 2 hours after walking in, including the test drive, I was out the door in my new (used) car. The pricing on the car (2012 BMW X5M) was almost too good to be true considering the low mileage (49,900) and it was absolutely immaculate. It even came with a hidden Dinan bonus (score). I simply could not be happier. At the age of 38 and after buying 10+ cars over my lifetime, this was my absolute best car buying experience, bar none. These guys are great at what they do, the real professionals.
Great car buying experience from start to finish; Jason was friendly, personable and informative; knew when to give further info and knew when to be quiet... and give my husband and I time to process info and think. The sales manager, Frankie, was friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs and very aware of timing in order for us to get thru the paperwork process in a timely manner. They Lifetime Warrantee is icing on the cake. Will definitely return to purchase our next car!
My son seen a nice aToyota Corolla at Jonson City Toyota last week. The salesmen and managers were very helpful with all the questions my son and I had... regarding the car..financing..warrenty..etc. Frankie Brain..Kevin Stafford..and Dustin go above and beyond to please their customers. My experience with Johnson City Toyota was amazing. I knew exactly what I wanted and Nathan and his team worked with me until I got exactly what I was... looking for while staying in my budget! They all were super nice. I needed to take the car back for a few minor details and they put me in another vehicle for the time I was there so that I was not sitting at the dealership. They are honest and caring and make the buying process a lot less stressful!
