Called them and made an appointment it was an hour and a half drive told them what car I was interested in I got there they had already sold the car and... never called to tell me ! Terrible Communication and customer service
We just bought our third car from Genthe Honda. Every experience with this dealership has been positive. So much so, that I never even take the cars any... place else for maintenance or service. Their oil changes are very competitive with any oil change place Downriver. Bare Body Shop seems to do a better job than anyone else. And, there's sales and financing staff are the best. We never felt at any point in any of our purchases that there was any pressure to do anything other than what we wanted to do. When this last sales experience started, I told them you'd better hit me with a good deal the first time. They did and I bought it. Easy and fair.
I'm writing this to warn any potential buyers to not deal with this dealership! My husband and I did a ton of research and drove 4 hours each way to pick... up a 2018 Honda Odyssey. Genthe knew we were coming for 6 days, but upon arrival the van was a mess and had not been cleaned at all. Once we got inside the van, there were hidden water spots all over the ceiling of the van and on the leather seats. There was patches of carpets ripped out and covered up in all pictures posted, and even when we got there they took the spare tire out to put over some of these patches of missing carpet. There was black paint dripping from the outside, scratches, etc. When we expressed our disappointment, the manager Darren said he was horribly sorry and would send us something because it took us 9 hours round trip to drive there to pick up the car (I am also 8 months pregnant and we have 3 small kids we had to get sitters for). However, we waited 3 weeks to follow up with Darren since we never got an apology and his response "did we ever promise the van was in good condition"? I responded and the dealership actually blocked our email. We were very cordial during the entire process and never made a scene. I'd prefer not to write a negative review, but this is an exception because of the lack of professionalism.
Trying to buy a car that was posted by the dealer and when showed the manager the posted price, he told me that the price went up because of the new month... pricing. Manager did not try to match the price. I would not recommend this dealer. It is not worth the gas money to go to this dealership.
Went in to buy a car that I had an agreed upon price only to find out that the car had been damaged which they didnt disclose and that it wouldnt be ready... even if I wanted to buy it. They told me over and over they didnt realize the car I was looking at buying was the one that was damaged. As soon as I mentioned renegotiating a price, as I'm no longer buying a new car, they said well I guess we will have to part ways then. If they didnt know wouldnt they be open to renegotiating a price since the car was damaged? Al the sales manager had to know and refused to share the information until I wasted an hour driving out there. Don't buy from this dealer. The VIN for the car I was looking at buying is 1HGCR3F85HA041720. Its a 2017 Honda Accord EX L v6. If you go to buy the car make sure they take a ton of money off and disclose its been damaged. What would have happened if I showed up a day later and the car was finished? Would they have said anything?
When Adam had first reached out to our dealership in regards to one of our 2017 Accords, we had thought that the one he was looking for was the other ...2017 Accord we have in stock. Then we did price out the one he was interested in. it had a minor repair that we thought had been completed. A tire had come off a passing by vehicle and rolled up in our lot and damaged the hood and scuffed the front bumper. When the salesman realized that the vehicle repairs were not completed, but would be done the next day, I went over to explain what had transpired to the client. At that point the client asked for (in his words) a ton more off of the Accord. After giving him almost 20% off the Accord, there was no more room to move. When I told him I had no more room, that's when he got up and walked out. He knew it was a fantastic price, that's why he shopped many dealers and drove to us. He even said our price was lower than some used 2017's he had priced at other dealers. As far as full disclosure, we disclose every repair, big or small, even when we are not required to. I found a suv that I was interested in buying online. I made an appointment to view it and ended up buying it. I had a great experience here from the... time I walked in. Everyone was attentive and answered my questions to my satisfaction. The service department also was great when they replaced the tires. They gave a ride home and back because of the length of time it took. I would have liked a higher trade in value for my car, though. I know it was worth more than I was given.
Tried to get a vehicle from this dealership for a week,would never get any real answers, was told several times I would get a call back never got a single... call from them. The only contact would be when I would call them, they acted like my business was not important to them. Completely blew me off terrible customer service.
