My husband and I test drove a used car on a Friday night. We both really liked the car, but the dealership was closing. So they asked that I come back in the morning and also for a deposit to hold the car until I came back the next morning, which I did. The next morning I got a phone call from the salesman asking if I was coming up, I called him back saying that I was on my way. I got to the dealership between 10:30 and 11am. When I pulled in I didn't see the car. I checked in with the receptionist and then my salesman came by to tell me he had a customer, but would be back soon. I asked him where the car was, since I didn't see it, he stated that he was not sure, but thought they were putting gas or cleaning it. I obviously didn't think anything of it, since that would make sense if I am purchasing it today. Time goes on, I speak various times with the salesman and the finance dept. I am told that there are issues with my credit, needing a larger down payment, and suggestions of another car. I was confused because I wasn't there for a different car, I was there going through paperwork and financing for the car I came there for, the one I put a deposit on to hold. I get told I am approved for a car I do not even want and they are telling me about payments, but I am still telling the salesman that I do not want the other car, that I want the one I drove there to get. Now mind you I live a half hour away, I have 2 kids with me, one is a toddler, and I am still under the impression that I am signing paperwork to get financing for the car I test drove Friday night, the one I wrote a check to hold...and now it is 1:30pm. My 2yr old is very fussy and hungry, goldfish can only last so long. I tell the salesman that I am going to go up the road to get my kids some McDonalds so they can eat and will be right back so we can finish, I ask him to hold the check still because I yes want the 1st car I came for. He attempts to give the check back, but I say no because then someone else can buy it if there is not a deposit to hold, or at least that is how he explained it to me. He tells me that he was told to give me back the check, I am very confused. He then tries to ask me about the other car again, now I am even more confused. The manager, Brian, steps in to help clarify the situation to me. He tells me that the situation was all mishandled from the moment I walked through the door. I ask what he means, he proceeds to tell me that the car I drove up there for, discussed with financing about, continuously spoke to the salesman about....was sold before I got there that morning. I thought he was joking, but nope, no joke. The joke was instead on me. I wasted my Saturday morning sitting at a dealership with a bunch of people who did not know what the heck they were doing! I wrote a deposit on a car, that it didn't even matter. Throughout that whole time, not one person could be honest. They were trying to swindle me into another car that I did not want. No common sense, no communication, no respect for their customer. Granted I will never be a customer there after that!! It was completely a waste of time, rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, ignorant, and messed up every way you look at it!!!! I believe that there is a reason for everything, with that said their loss was my gain. I say their loss because they obviously do not know what they are doing. They gave me such a run around about my credit and large down payment, yet I had no problem to get a much newer nicer car from a different dealership later that same day and didn't need anywhere near a down payment like their finance dept stated. So from a used 2006 car with 58,000 miles to a used 2012 car with even less miles and not one issue or complication. So again it is 100% their loss!!! I would say that Nissan of Streetsboro needs some major reviews and re-training done, definitely including lessons 101 on communication and human decency!!!!!

I drove almost 100 miles today to the dealer and back to see the specific vehicle I found online and I made an appointment with the online service rep to see, to find out that they sold the vehicle about a week ago and never updated any of the availability list. What a huge waste of my time.
