Overall Review: Dishonest and Unprofessional. I don’t do reviews very often, and if I do, it’s usually a good one so this is very rare, but definitely... deserved bad review. I Found a vehicle I was very interested in. I gave them a call on a Monday morning and asked them to send me pictures of the vehicle in which they did. The vehicle looked immaculate from the pictures they sent so I called them and told them I would come and get it on Friday Morning. All throughout the week, I’m getting my finances in order, shampooing my seats, detailing my trade-in vehicle to make sure it’s in great condition for them, scheduled a vacation day so that I could drive up the hour and a half to the dealership, etc.. Then Friday morning rolls around and they message me to confirm my appointment at noon in which I confirmed and left shortly after. Once I get there, they take me in a small office and tell me that they’ve been expecting me and tell me about the 172 point inspections they do on their vehicles etc and then decide to tell me that they would go and get the car from the service area (I think ok, they must have just ran it through the wash one more time for me, wrong). They pull up the vehicle and the first thing I notice is that it has a huge gash in the side. It’s a used vehicle so I expected scratches but this was much worse. Then I open up the vehicle and it is absolutely unbelievably disgusting. I wish I could add pictures of how much dirt and dog hair were on the headrest and cargo area. I couldn’t believe they were actually showing me this vehicle. All of the pictures they sent conveniently avoided these areas. Obviously upset, I speak to the “used car manager” Gary Johnson. He told me that they just got it in and they didn’t have time to run it through detail (even though they had had it for 1.5 weeks already). So I mentioned to him that even if they could make the car spotless on the inside, the car still had a huge gash in the side panel so I said that they would need to come down on the price for me to think about purchasing. It was at that point where Gary the “manager” laughed in my face. It takes a lot for me to get mad, but I was LIVID. After that I decided it was not worth talking to them anymore and decided to get in my car and drive another hour and a half home. On the way home, the “director” of hixsons used cars calls me to see what happen so I tell him everything above. He then says he’s going to make it right and that he’d get the vehicle all fixed and cleaned up and give me a call me back when it was ready. Nobody has called me back since so in closing, avoid buying a car at this dealership. Like I said, I don’t write reviews unless someone really deserves it, and my experience here was awful.
Mindy was a great help! From the first phone call to the signing of paperwork and driving off the lot, she was the best. She made the experience of getting... a new truck great. I highly recommend Hixson and Mindy to anyone looking for a vehicle. Thanks Mindy!

Richard could not have been nicer. It was a very rainy, cold, messy day. My son & his friend met me at Hixson Autoplex. After I met 3 or 4 people, I was... introduced to Richard & told that he would be my salesman. He asked us to have a seat, offered us water, then asked EXACTLY what I was looking for so that he could look for it, then show us what they had on his computer. We ALL went for a test drive, I decided to purchase the vehicle, and Richard even helped me turn my rental car back in. (My son & his friend left immediately after the test drive.) My 2 complaints - they aren't against Richard : 1) The whole process takes too long (not only at this dealership) 2) This is the first time I bought a vehicle, that I couldn't get them to budge ANY on the price. If I hadn't been so tired, and needing a vehicle so badly, and the weather had been better, I would have kept looking..

I had a horrible experience at Hixon Autoplex of Alexandria La. ! Friday, 09-14-2018, I was sold a 2018 Expedition Limited, at Hixon Ford in Alexandria,... La. I asked for a Expedition that had the “Max trailer tow package”, my dealer (Cody Coutee) assured me that the vehicle she sold me had that very option. Over the weekend I was able to notice that it did not have that option but just a hitch. Class IV. (Because I’m wheelchair dependent) it’s hard for me to do things like crawl under and verify things like this. So today Monday 9-17-18 I went to Hixon around 7:30 am and I asked a few of the sales associates on the lot today if my new Expedition in fact had the max trailer tow package. They all thought it did. Cody and I later learned it was in fact, Not the Max trailer tow package. And she then contacted the sales manager to correct the issue. She tried to be very helpful but, That’s where the Real problem began. Chase (the Sales manager) offered to upgrade me to a higher Expedition Limited vehicle MSRP at $73,040. But the Truecar price showed it averaged $66,500.00 and in which I agreed to pay $67,000. He scammed me on my first Expedition by pencil whipping me with salesman tactics but we agreed on a middle ground, because I now owned a Expedition without the equipment that I requested, (their fault) he now was not going to work with me on price, because I had now lost my buying power. Chase Tried to profit twice by offering an upgraded Expedition at an inflated price but it did have the options I requested, Chase then went and got the head of sales ( Gary ) management, and he was very rude. Then we were both rude because I called him out on his lies. All I’m asking is for the options I was told by Hixon’s staff that my Expedition was supposed to have. We bought the Expedition because we intend to buy a RV bumper pull. It’s the only reason why we bought the Expedition. The Expedition they offered to upscale me they listed at $69,k but Truecar app with the exact same features, suggests it sales average $65k. After showing this to Gary he showed me a BS invoice that he said he paid $68k. LIES!!

The sales staff was very attentive to me and what I was looking for in a new truck. The sales manager really stood out as a person that made sure I was... getting the attention I needed. He even helped me save thousands on insurance. You can’t beat that. They have a insurance agent on site. I have already sent 3 other people to her and they have switched too!
