WOW...although most dealer are not particularly honest, this one is the worst I've ever experienced. First came the bat and switch, then the BS that the price is only good today and finally...."folks like you" love this type of appealto my being black. I'll be shopping elsewhere. I don't deal withlying racists.

Dealer response

Hi James- My name is Rachel and I manage the online presence for the store- I'm the one who responded to your Yelp review last week. I'm very sorry to read about your experience. At McKevitt, we support diversity and inclusivity and in no way condone biased treatment of employees or customers. I'd like to learn a bit more about your interaction to see if perhaps there were time-sensitive offers or limitations on model-specific discounts or dealer dollars that may have impacted your options. Please feel free to reach out to me at, and I'd like to see if perhaps I can assist in finding resolution. Thank you -Rachel H.

Consumer response

Based upon your response, it's obvious you are totally uncaring as to the tactics of the morons you employ and equally guilty of lying as a rule of thumb. DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME AGAIN. My attorney's name is Harris Sorter, Jr. You will hear from him soon.

Not to be Trusted

I went to the dealership to test a Jeep and a Chrysler. I was given an incentive but never received the award. They then proceeded to call me and guarantee that they would make good on the award and also get back to me when they got a car in. This never happened and another car was purchased at a more customer-friendly dealership

Terribe service department

I really wanted to like this service department because it's much closer to home than my old service department in Walnut Creek. But, my recent service was so terrible I don't think I will be able to return. When I arrived at 9:45AM for my 10AM appointment, they asked if I would be staying with my car. I told them 'no,' but that I would be back around 2PM to pick up the car. I asked them if that would be enough time to provide an oil change and a coolant flush. They assured me it would indeed be enough time. They quoted me a price of approximately $300. They then asked if I needed a shuttle and they paged their shuttle driver. The shuttle driver said he would be there in 2 minutes. 20 minutes later, the shuttle driver was still nowhere to be found. He was reportedly at the gas station (more on this later). Another kind employee offered me a ride. They updated me at 1PM confirming again that the car would be ready by 2. I showed up at 2:15, and the car was not ready. They told me it would probably be another half hour. I gave them 45 minutes. Car was still not ready. They then kept telling me "just a few more minutes" until about 3:30, when I told them I had to leave or I would be late to pick up my kids at daycare. Finally, they released my car to me. The grand total was now closer to $600 for services--twice of what they quoted me and an hour and a half past the promised time. There were no surprises in services needed when they first began service, nor where there any surprises from when they called me at 1PM to confirm everything would be ready, so it is unclear to me why services subsequently cost double what they quoted me and well past the time they said it would be done. Based on my observation, they just did not start working on my car until the afternoon, even though I dropped my car off in the morning for a pre-scheduled appointment. Oh yeah, and when I was leaving, I overheard someone asking for the shuttle driver. They replied, "oh, he's at the gas station." Ha! Just indicative of the entire experience. One last shady thing about this experience...I always receive a survey asking about my experiences post-service. This time I did not receive a survey from them--I can only assume they know it's because I would report on the abysmal service I received from them. I guess it's back to the Walnut Creek Jeep Service Center. A long drive, but at least they provide consistent, quality service.

Horrible Service Department

My Wife and I brought both our Jeeps in for warranty service over the last few years. We experienced poor communication, ineffective service, and a lack of follow through on many occasions. its a relief that our warranty services are up. Now we can go to a private auto garage to get our cars serviced. This service department needs a serious reorganization.

I was in the market for a new Jeep and found a great deal through Frank Tehrani at McKevitt. I explained to him my budget, and what I was looking for, and he understood and respected that with no attempts at upselling whatsoever. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. The staff here are friendly and professional. I'm very glad that I came here, and my family and I just love our new Jeep. Thanks, Frank!!!

Great Experience

Frank, Nick and staff made buying a new Jeep easy and enjoyable, and at a great price too! Highly recommend this team!

Great Experience!

Frank, Tony, and the rest of the staff made buying a new Jeep easy and enjoyable, and for a far more competitive price than other dealers!

Good deal and good service. Thouroghly satisfied.

Good deal and good service (including a detailing before I drove off). Thouroghly satisfied.

My first new vehicle - Great experience!

I ordered a new JK Rubicon from Tony. He told me it would take about six weeks for it to be built and delivered. Tony kept me informed of the process as I impatiently bugged him on a regular basis. Six weeks later, I had the Jeep exactly as I ordered it. When it came time to work out the finances, they were more than fair on my trade-in. Karen in the Finance Department managed to find a credit union that was able to beat the rate that my credit union was offering. When I drove away with my new Jeep, it had been washed, detailed and full of gas. This was my first new vehicle and this dealership made the entire experience a very positive one.

A great experience to purchase our dream car!

I purchased my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Tony and Frank. It's a great experience. Tony gave me a good price before I headed to the dealership. Frank is friendly and helpful to show me the features of my new car and the test drive. The whole process is easy and straightforward. The finance manager Karen helped us to get the car right away. We live at South San Jose and it worth the trip to Berkeley to get our dream car.
