I was shopping for a used car the end of October and put in my application for financing. The customer service I got on the phone was so poor and rude... I complained and got the manager to help from there. He ran my credit through 1 company, Century National Bank because I had a history with them, but I was declined. The car I was trying to purchase from their buy here pay here lot cost $4,500 and they would not take $1000 down payment out of pocket, they wanted $2000. I declined and this concluded our business. It is now the end of november and in the last month I have now received FIVE(5) notices from various other credit companies that my credit has been ran through them on behalf of Dutro Ford. I did NOT agree to this, especially since your credit drops with every check! After the third one I contacted a manager and was told I signed the agreement for the credit check. I was hoping they would stop after that since they were NOT interested in helping me further, but today(Nov 26-a month plus after I went shopping) I received my 5th credit check. I am livid about the invasion of privacy and damage they are doing to my credit and I want to warn as many people as possible STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY BUSINESS!!!!
Had a recall. Was told to have it there by 10 and it'd take 3 hours. Went back after 3 hours and the mechanic told me he just got the car and was only... done with 1/4 of the job. Asked to talk to the service manager who was on the premises but never showed his face. I was to be back in Zanesville the next day so I asked to drive home something and bring it back the next day. None of the managers would let me do that so I told them to stop the job and I'd bring it back the next day. I did that and the car was finally finished. Never did see or hear from Jeff somebody, the service manager or anyone else for that matter. I will NEVER use Dutro again for sales or service since they are not true to their word nor do they try to work with the customer when they don't hold up their end of the deal.
I just had to write about the experience my husband and I had at Dutro Ford Lincoln Nissan in Zanesville, OH. The individuals that we met at Dutro, Ryan... Murphy and Mark Pulse, changed our mind about the car buying experience. Both individuals were concerned about us, that we find a car to our liking with no high pressure sales. All questions that we had were answered, and Ryan hunted to find that special car that my husband and I were looking for. When we found it, Mark, in financing, had the expertise to get the payment that we could afford. We were in and out in no time with a new car. Thank you, Dutro, for having people-friendly staff that cares for the customer.
Sell cars with known issues and reset computers to make it appear they are fine. Don’t be shocked if ur check engine light comes on
Bought a 2008 Dodge Nitro from them. Had it towed to them one nite for what appeared to be the water pump went out. Dutro reported it was plugs and coil.Given... the ok to fix, they then call and say the motor blowed. I then then pay over 8,000 for new motor with a warranty. Then with in weeks have it towed againfor tranmission issues. Then towed again to one of there sub contractors wear the fuse box had caught fire and burnt and paid them to fix it while in there shop they suggested to return it to Dutro service due to the motor having a knock. They had for over two months to replace motor again. Then they send to Dodge dealership because they could not get it started. Had back a few days and Yet again had it towed due to what appears to be transmission problems not going into gear. They are a poor excuse for a dealership. They have new mechanics since first motor issue. But still appears they dont know what they are doing YET. Lawyer I guess is next step.If wasnt for the warranty one the first motor they tried to charge us again for the repair. JUST BEWARE OF DUTRO. They were reported to the better business brule.
Waited over two hours for an oil change - I even had an appointment. Why? ?
I took a 2010 ford escape to dutro ford because of an issue, service light on. They told me my fuel filters were flooded and needed replaced. They charged... me $679 to do the service. Later down the road i found out my escape only has one lifetime gas filter in the gas tank. I ask yhem about it and called ford they did nothing but kept my money and did not do a service. I would not trust them. Question what they do#!
