I had a great experience buying a used Prius from Shift. The car was driven to my home, I did the test drive there, and we filled out the paperwork on... the spot. Shift charges a fee of $1000 for this service, but even with that fee, the price of the car was well below bluebook value. The car was immaculate, had just been serviced, and their representative was courteous an helpful. I couldn't be more pleased.
It was easy to find something online and they even drove it to my house so I could test drive! I hope not to need another car soon... but when I do...Ill... definitely try them again...
Shift helped me find a buyer for my 2014 BMW M5. They had my vehicle inspected, took care of the detailing, photos and delivery to the new buyer. After... selling the BMW, Kevin and his team were able to find me a 2012 Bentley GT convertible with 5k miles and help me purchase below market value. Kevin and his team communicated thought the whole process and was very helpful in selling and buying my new car. I would strongly recommend Team Shift for anyone who is in the market for buying or selling.
watch out for "concierge" fee's ect, what ever the xxxx those are, that NO ONE else charges. Complete joke and this place should not even exist.
These clowns are the worst. From calling and hanging up over and over, to constantly changing the appointments and where a vehicle is located, to changing... the estimate of a trade in numerous times even before they have seen the vehicle. I will never deal with them again. They say their service is easier to use, and they have proven the exact opposite.
This is the problem with dealers that don't use people. Emailed them from the cars.com link to ask some questions and all i good was a roboemail saying... they have the car..... yes i know that, now answer the questions i asked you (roles eyes)
I was going to buy Brz Limited. I made an appointment for a test drive and I had decided to the car right after that. They cancel the test drive 2 hours... before it with a ridiculous excuse: Tire blows up. U guys know tire is hard to blow up. if the tire truly blows up, the car condition must be horrible. How they didnt check the tire condition before they send the car to their customer?????????????????????
They don't honor the "first come first serve" rule, instead, they commit to multiple potential buyers, keep rescheduling appointments until closing on... the easiest deal, then cancel the rest; who cares if the other customers had to blocked their day or take a day off work to commit to their appointments. They charge $1200 /- "Shift Service fee". No other dealers charge such fee.... On Saturday, I scheduled a test drive for the following Monday, they canceled it half hour before the appointment, sighting an issue found with the car. They said they'll get back to me to reschedule but they didn't. On Monday night I scheduled another appointment for Wednesday and called them on Tuesday to make sure the appointment is set. They yes, the car was repaired and my Wednesday appointment is good to go, I asked the operator few questions about the car, she transferred me to my representative. After talking to him for few seconds, he said "you know what, I was going to call you, the concierge who was bringing the car to you tomorrow had called-in sick and we don't have backup." I said fine, lets reschedule to another day. I picked Friday and they said okay. Couple of hours later they texted me to let me know the car was sold. I'll let the readers draw their own conclusion. I live about an hour away from where the vehicle is and thought if the distance is too far they will let me know. They accepted the appointment; after all they do charge $1200 /- "Shift Service fee". VERY POORLY EXECUTED BUSINESS MODLE. STAY AWAY!
Do NOT buy an electric car from this company. They do NOT know what they are doing. I was scheduled for a test drive at my house on Saturday morning.... I received a call 45 minutes before my appointment informing me they had to cancel because the car did not have enough charge on it to make it to my house, which is less than 10 miles from the Shift facility. Then they were so unwilling to reschedule for anytime over the weekend even though the appointment was cancelled due to THEIR screwup. Spoke to a manager and after venting with her was able to reschedule for Sunday morning. Ok, great. Saturday night I get a text that my test drive had to be cancelled because the car was sold! xxx!!!! Due to a total screwup on their side, I missed out on a good buy on a car I had my heart set on buying. Now I am totally disappointed and upset. AVOID THESE JOKERS AT ALL COST!!
I enjoyed my car purchase experience with Shift. The team was very knowledgeable, professional and was very supportive. Their approach is different,... so you can't just walk up when you feel like it. You have to schedule an appointment so that you have 1-on-1 of a Shift concierge rep. I liked that actually. But more importantly, I liked the quality of their cars and the peace of mind that provided me. Not to mention, their car prices were all considered to be "great deals" by cargurus.com.
