Michael the salesman and Michael the owner are extremely nice gentlemen. I couldn't believe how helpful they were. i went to Downtown Motors to take a... look at their Ford Expedition and Mike let me take a look at the car and took me for a drive in it. Mike was very calm, relaxed and laid back which made it a very enjoyable experience because I wasn't being hammered by some aggressive salesman. The car had normal wear and tear but cold A/C and a smooth ride. After we took a test drive Mike said that we can go inside and talk to his Uncle Michael whom would make the call on price and financing decisions. Michael was very easy to deal with, he was extremely helpful to make my payments affordable and make sure I enjoyed the car. After the financing had been taken care of, Michael had his son walk me out to the car to make sure I had no further questions, made sure I got in safely. I loved the family atmosphere they provided, it made me feel very safe and confident in the car. Michael was a little bit loud but he was extremely friendly and made this car buying experience not only good for my transportation needs but made it very fun indeed. Overall, I would recommend Downtown Motors to my closet relative for their excellent customer service and quality cars and family atmosphere. Thank You Michael and Mike!
salesperson and the dealership owner gave me their word they would save the car for me. I was coming from California 3 1/2 hours away. I spoke with them... the night before just to make sure the Acura Integra GSR was still there for me. The next day as I was an hour away they text me to let me know they sold the car I was driving outthere to get it. What is a man without theit word!!!!
Michael was the first to approach me, very nice, no pressure attitude. We took a Tahoe for a spin down the street. Didn't seem to be very knowledgeable... about the vehicle or the few things I noticed. Overall, I liked it, need new carpet badly and dome light was mia with wires hanging. Other than these two things, it had good A/C from what little time I had with it, an upgraded exhaust that sounded pretty mean. Typical wear and tear, nothing too bad interior or exterior separate from what I mentioned. I was very interested in purchasing it. I found the dealership and Tahoe via Cars.com...when I asked about the price, his uncle, which I believe to be the owner...randomly came up and was extremely aggressive right off the bat. He pretty much took over the possible sale. Being from NJ myself, I knew they were also from the east coast New York to be exact. Michael was the nice laid back salesman.The uncle/owner, was the standard stereotype of a rude, overly aggressive New Yorker...that's a car salesman to boot. Not a great combination. Of course the price listed on here (Cars.com), was not what he said it to be when I got there until I made it clear I already knew what it was going for on the site. His tune changed and then tried to strong arm the sale....Very loud, not much for privacy as I don't want others hearing about my car buying situation/experience. It's not how it should be done. He continued to be loud, rude and way over the top and even demeaning when I wasn't exactly on the same page with the offer. I was honestly very close to buying it until he came around. He pretty much strong armed the sale out the door and I followed it. His aggressive manner rubbed me so wrong, I was willing to not purchase a car I would've gladly bought from his nephew. His loss.
I apologize for the experience you have received from us, I apologize on behalf of my father, Michael, to be completely and utterly honest, I promise ...I am not lying, my father was really not having the best of days, that day because I remember the day you came in and I agree that my dad was being extremely over aggressive at the time and for that I apologize and he is very sorry for the poor customer service. He was having a bad day that day and I understand that that is no excuse for the poor customer service and I apologize. As for the car, the wires were where the DVD goes in the back which I keep in the office so it does not get stolen.
