    Hands down the worst experience we've ever had. At the peak of our "endeavor"... our brand new car ran had no gas. An associate took it... to get gas.... where it ran out of gas as she left the parking lot. She got out of our car while leaving it in drive...where it proceeded to roll onto the shoulder of route 9 before my husband ran down to get it in park. We then waited an hour for someone to help us while our car precariously sat edging onto route 9. The associate who helped us assured us his manager would reach out to us to "make this right" the following business day. It has been 6 days.... and we have reached out to the dealership numerous times only to be told someone would call us back. Unbelievable.... we will never return to this joke of an establishment.

    AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! OLD SCHOOL BAIT N SWITCH ARTISTS!! did my homework and shopped the internet for the best deal. called this shack and asked if they... could "match it" as they were closer than the dealership 2hrs away. after several emails and phone calls, going over every cost and fee and lease rate and down payment, the salesman said "yes, i spoke with my manager, we can match it!" we drove one hour to arrive at a not so nice showroom with not many cars to choose from, but a honda dealer none the less. after an hour of running my excellent credit, going over the car features and filling out numerous documents, the moment of truth arrived, the real deal! low and behold a mysterious $1700 appeared on the invoice!! the salesman claimed ignorance, although he probably was not the sharpest tool, and calmly said "oh must have been a computer error". he leaves to correct it and comes back with the non-professional, insulting manager who proceeded to insult my wife and I by saying "you really expected to come in here and get this car for that deal!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??? we quickly left before i lowered myself to this shacks level, and may never buy a new car again!

    I had a really difficult time finding the model I wanted in the color I wanted. I visited about 5 different Honda dealerships in the state of NJ trying... to find the model/color I wanted. Freehold was the only dealership in NJ that had the 2018 civic EX with sensing in Aegean Blue, so they have a really good selection of cars... you’re likely to find exactly what you want at this Honda dealership (unlike some of the others that I visited that had very limited selection). Since I had been to several other Honda dealerships prior to visiting the one in freehold, I had a good sense of exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay for it. Some of the other dealerships I visited tried to pressure me to buy the vehicle in a different color (because they couldn’t get the car in the Aegean Blue color I wanted), or they tried to pressure me to get a different model so that I could get the color I wanted... so at the other dealerships I had the choice to get the EX with sensing in a different color, or I could get the color I wanted but would have to forgo the sensing option. I was determined to get exactly what I wanted... why shouldn’t I get exactly what I want after all? Honda of freehold is the only Honda dealership in NJ that was able to give me the model I wanted in the color I wanted... they have a great selection of cars, so if you’re looking for something specific I would recommend checking them out... don’t settle for something you don’t want!! Honda of freehold will help you get exactly what you want! After checking their inventory online and getting the e-price for the car, I called and made an appointment with salesman Rico... I went to the dealership one evening after work and since I live an hour away I didn’t get there until late, but Rico stayed late to help facilitate the purchase. Rico made the process quick and easy, and I ended up buying the car that same night. I decided to finance through my credit union so I had to come back later in the week to pick up the car and bring the check, but Rico called me to check up and give me updates over the phone up until I came back to get the car. I really appreciated how thorough and helpful Rico was... I would definitely recommend anyone to buy from him. Unlike some of the other dealerships, Rico was respectful of the fact that I knew what I wanted and he simply helped facilitate the purchase and didn’t try to pressure me to get anything other than exactly what I wanted. He was friendly and personable and I would recommend his customer service to anyone. I am very happy with my new car... this was my first time buying a car by myself (my dad bought my first car for me, so this was my first time)... Rico and Honda of freehold Made my first car buying experience easy and enjoyable. I would recommend Honda of freehold for their customer service and for their great selection of vehicles.... you are likely to find the exact model you want here, so don’t settle for something you don’t want at another dealership!!! Car buying is a big expense, and you should get exactly what you want! Thank you to everyone at Honda of freehold, and especially to Rico. I am very happy!

    I'm a huge fan of honda and always thought it was the best make in its class. I just bought a brand new 2018 honda civic si coupe from this dealer... and absolutely love it. However, the way this dealership goes about things is a different story. I played for a new car with no problems. If it had a headlight out I can understand switching it out. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS AND ALREADY NOTICED MOLD ON THE FLOOR OF THE BACK 2 SEATS. I took it to the dealer, the cleaned it no problem. I didnt think about it any further, but I should have made into a bigger deal since new cars should never run into a problem like this. ON DAY 8 OF ME OWNING THE CAR, I was showing my dad the new car and we open up the trunk and where the donut should be, THE TRUNK IS FILLED WITH WATER! I immediately called them the next day and they tell me they cant to anything until Monday (2 days from now) and they would only clean it. This is not what I bought. I bought a new car. Before this i had a 2008 honda civic for a long time without ever even considering the possibility of having mold in my vehicle. I will not be satisfied with this dealer unless the replace my car with a new car with 0 mold problems at all. I really dont think im making any crazy demands since the car is only 8 days old still has under 300 miles on it.

    They wanted to charge $2000 extra up charge from the price it was listed. Wasted time for now reason. Find another place.

    I turned in my Honda CRV which was a three-year lease. Raj was my sales consultant and he lead me through the process of purchasing a new car that was... seamless. He was very kind and patient. Honda is lucky to have him as an employee. Also met with Scott Durso the sales manager who was very accommodating as well. Great dealership! And how can I forget Donna in the Service Dept.

    Went to Honda of Freehild after being contacted by their internet sales coordinator about APR deal they were having. Met with Brad Kessel there, and was... very happy with him. We had a target price in mind and he was able to work with us in attaining that. Great experience with him and very happy we made the trip there.

    I have purchased at least four cars from this dealership over the past 15+ years, but my most recent experience has soured me on Honda of Freehold. Needing... to purchase a used car for my sons, to replace a worn-out Civic, we attempted to negotiate a reasonable total price (the price of the car AND the added dealer costs that are tacked on and drive up the bottom line price). There was almost no moving on the total cost of a used 2013 Civic coupe - The salesman, after consulting with his manager and given the chance to confirm our status as long-time customers who consistently have our cars serviced at this dealership, came back with an unacceptable counter-offer. Additionally, the car we identified on Cars.com and contacted the internet sales rep about, was not prepared for our scheduled visit: the battery was dead and we stood in the parking lot waiting 10 minutes for the salesman to 1. attempt to jumpstart it with another car, 2. bring a tech over with a portable charging unit. From the visible condition under the hood and in the cabin, the car was not particularly clean. It was a disappointing experience, only magnified by the positive experience we had at Pine Belt Chevrolet where we purchased a clean, attractive used car for a very reasonable price.
