Excellent review for Jim McKay

Highly recommend Jim McKay. They work with the client and make the best deal and make a sale possible. Time could be cut down but still worth the wait.

BE WARE OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY

This establishment ran an illegal credit pull on my credit (while I am in the process of purchasing a home). This dropped my score 11 points, greatly delaying my moving process from a hotel. With this, Im more upset that my credit was pulled after I advised, repeatedly, that I did not want my credit ran and I was paying in cash, after I was told that none of my information would be used to run my credit. I made it very clear that I was paying in cash when I walked in the door for this specific reason. The sales person bought me a credit form to sign (stating that I will allow the company to pull my credit and/or provide financing). I declined to sign the form because it was not relevant to my purchase. I was told that the form would be used for record keeping then, I was told 'the form was to sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles'. Eventually, a manager came out to trying and convince me to sign this form for 15mins, I declined. The manager lays a credit file on the table: 'you have a good credit score, what's the problem? ', 'I just bought house I did the same thing, didn't impact my credit score, you will be fine'. I was upset. I asked why did her run my credit score. He gave no explanation, he continued to try and convince me to sign a form giving him permission to run my credit. I declined. Worse experience ever, should have taken my uncle with me to provide the same tone, but no one was available and I did not have a car. After returning to the US from another country due to COVID, I saved and borrowed to a purchase a vehicle to avoid having my credit pulled.

Jim MCkay service

Took my car repeatedly to Chevrolet dealer in Front Royal Va to repair my heater, and after the 6th time with no results I took my car to Jim McKay car where I purchased my car. The service advisor David called me within a hour after leaving my car with them to explain my heating panel was bad and they would order the part. My car was ready the next day and fixed.r

unprofessional

I have brought many cars during my time but this was the worst experience ever. I would not recommend this dealer to my worst enemy. My salesperson Ricardo was ok but the management team is horrible. if you just happen to purchase a vehicle from this dealer be sure to read your paper work carefully, or just save yourself the trouble and don't go

Pathetic

Bought a used 2011 Honda Pilot from McKays Chevrolet. Had an issue with a dent and Darius the sales manager said to get it fixed and he would pay for it. I live in PA. so I got it fixed for a few hundred dollars and after numerous phone calls they still will not pay my garage and only give me the runaround.

Took my money but didn't fix my truck, then lied.

I took my truck to McKay for service. I told them I didn't want to simply change out parts, but to fix the underlying problem. That's why I went to a dealership instead of a neighborhood mechanic. They replaced parts, charged me a ton of money and didn't fix my problem. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they actually LIED and said that they told me my truck required additional work, which the invoice clearly shows is false. They are incompetent and dishonest.

Deceptive

Found a Suburban they were listing online. Price on Cars.com was different than price on McKay's website. When i inquired salesperson was baffled. After checking with GM of dealership the higher price was actual UNLESS I qualified for other incentives. Nowhere on the site shows this. Buyers beware.
