Found a 2008 VW GTI on cars.com at Smolich Nissan. Visited with the online sales and struck a deal. Drove from Hillsboro to Bend to purchase the car. Test... drive went great sales guys were great. Was some slight miscommunications though, partly on my part. Sales said the car was one owner, after looking at the Carfax it had two owners and was in an accident, was surprised to see it and not be told from the sales guy up front. I should have looked first to see that information. Also, when the price on car was agreed upon, the online sales guy did not inform if the GPS system that was on the car that cost extra and I did not agree to pay for. Given it was not disclosed, their service guys were not working, I either had to pay for it or have it removed which would be at a later date. We made a deal on the GPS, but I was not happy the situation I was in. In a ideal world, if you don't disclose, the butter doesn't pay. The next day when driving the car home, check engine light came on and the right rear blinker did not work. Drove the car home and called Smolich and expressed my unhappiness about buying a car that was in excellent condition having further repairs. Spoke with the store manager about possible solutions. Took the car into the local VW dealer, found out the thermostat wasn't working correctly and needed fixed. Smolich and the store manager agreed to make everything right, paid for the repairs and I am a happy camper. Couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. Smolich definitely lived up to their reputation, made things right and for that I am extremely grateful. Honesty and integrity go a long ways in my book, after my experience, I would definitely recommend them in the future. My only suggestion, sales guys need to know more about the used cars they are selling so there are no surprises to the buyer.

My wife and I are on a short vacation to Bend, Oregon and my Nissan Murano suddenly showed engine service light and the auto transmission would not shift... into high gear. We went to Smolich motors and were met by Service Manager Scott Jones who was very understanding of our situation and he was extremely knowledgable about our vehicle. Scott managed to get our vehicle into the shop, the problem was a broken wire that the serviceman quickly repaired and were able to continue on vacation. First class service!
