I saw the vehicle on cars.com that seemed to fit my budget and what I was looking for in a car. Having already test-driven the same model at a different... dealership I knew what to expect from the vehicle itself, so I just wanted to make sure there was nothing drastically wrong with it before heading in to make the purchase. I called to set up an appointment, and they couldn't get me in until the next day. Of course, this was no problem and to be expected. The next day I turn up to the dealership for my appointment with Adam, ready to do business. Me and a friend sit down in his office, and Adam tells us that someone must have moved the car, and he would just be a few moments. Fast forward 20 minutes of waiting in the office, and Adam comes out and tells us that the car is currently in the service queue for a small dent, therefore I can't test drive or buy today. Of course this was a bummer, but he apologizes and tells me that he will give me a call first-thing in the morning after talking with the service technicians. This was now two days ago, I still haven't gotten a call, and I have never had my time wasted in such a way before.
Disappointed I was told a vehicle was ready to look at, it was not. I asked for vehicle be moved to store closer to home, it was not. Appears this dealership... lacks communication, I'm glad I bought a vehicle elsewhere. I asked to speak to a manager at the corporate level, still waiting for a corporate rep. to contact me.

Sales AWESOME service not good so far. Check engine light on. They called 2 hours before to cancel my appointment and suggested taking to a carwash... first instead of bringing it in as they don't have time to service it today. They said it would be $99 for a diagnostic check if it was not a covered warranty item. My car is BRAND NEW. They could have offered for me to come in for a free carwash. I am not impressed. I

My sales associate, Mike Haese, was great, very helpful, and knowledgeable, made the buying process easy. The finance manager John Titley, was also very... helpful. Both Mike and John stayed way past closing on a Friday night to complete the sale. I'm very grateful.
I wanted to purchase a 2017 Volt after non of the 'previous model year leftovers' were available in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Our experiences with the... two dealers we did visit down here were very unsatisfactory. Having lived in Madison up until a year ago I checked Bergstrom's website and found a bunch of cars available, one at a good priced based on my previous research. I talked to a woman on you (I'm afraid I don't remember her name) 800 line in Neenah and she checked and found the car on the inventory and said it was still available. I told her I would probably be there the following Monday. I called and let them know we would be there around noon. We arrived, the car was waiting for us. We did a quick test drive since I had done so with several other models and was familiar with the vehicle. We went back to do the paperwork. The only problem was it took the finance manager what seemed like several hours to get the papers together which seems like a long time since this was a cash sale and the dealership didn't seem real busy at the time. But otherwise, this was the best experience of the bunch.
When shopping for a new car I first went to Chevy Bergstrom Middleton due to location. I was unsatisfied with the service the first time I went but went... back because I had made an appointment to work directly with the manager. When I went back instead of working with the manager, they had me work with the same guy I worked with initially after I specifically asked to work with someone else. The salesman didn’t know much about the cars being sold and wasn’t able to answer many questions I had. I was still set on the Chevy Equinox but personally didn’t feel comfortable buying a car from someone that wasn’t very informed about the product they were selling. So instead, I went to the Chevy Bergstrom in Madison and was approached by Alex who was able to answer all my questions and actually sell me the car. He was very informed about the product and showed me more features that I was unaware about. I felt comfortable buying from him and wanted to give this Chevy Bergstrom my business. Thank you Alex!! You are very good at your job. Give him a raise folks.
Low pressure, my sales manager d Devin Spielman was very knowledgeable and considerate. Bergstrom did not play the normal "wear you down and endless counter... offer" games. They actually quoted me a sales price for a for an outright purchase and a trade in without any change in the original quote. They printed both quotes and let me take them with me so I could evaluate overnight, seemingly without fear that I wouldn't come back! I actually completed my offer and Bergstrom acceptance via email. 1 single email! I drove to the dealership and completed the deal.
My wipers stopped working during a rainstorm and I called to see if I could bring my Equinox in for repair right away. The service person scheduled me... for an appointment with the next two hours due to the safety issue of no wipers on a rainy day. I was given a loaner vehicle and came back later to pick up my vehicle with wipers that were working. Thanks!
This is an excellent dealership. The service is great and the client service is the best I have seen. They always fix any issues with my car and explain... everything to me. They have a very nice facility and the staff is really nice. My 4 year old son can't wait until the next oil change. Thanks Bergstrom!
