Be careful of this dealership. They charge a $899 "pre-delivery fee". If you read the manufacture sticker, MSRP indicates includes pre-delivery... fee in MSRP price. This is just a way to add additional dealer fees!
I recently went to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood to inquire about buying a new 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT. I had set-up an appointment earlier in the day with... their sales depart, and upon arriving to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood was greeted by one of their sales representatives. After answering a few basic questions about my desired car, the sales representative completed a visual inspection of my 2016 Toyota Corolla. The sales representative for Gettel then drove my car back to the service department for a full mechanical review. My car was determined to be a “clean” trade-in and I was given full book value for my car. After several hours with the sales department, we were unable to reach a satisfactory deal and I was given back the keys to my car. My car was parked outside one of the service bays, with the front end not visible to me as I approached the car from the rear. I drove off. Once home, I immediately noticed the front left bumper on my car had several deep scratches across it! The black plastic under my cars silver paint was visible and damaged. I immediately called the dealership and was told they would review the video surveillance system to determine what had happened? In addition, my sales representative indicated that he would talk to the GM and get back to me. Today is Tuesday and still I have not received a call back from the dealership? If this is the way NEW customers are treated at Gettel You NEED to skip this dealership when buying your next car! Now, I have to pay to get my car fixed...how is that right?
I purchased a used 2015 Mazda CX-5 and my salesperson was Eric O’Brien. The process went very smoothly, he was very personable and I did not feel pressured.... If he did not know an answer he was honest and directed me to the proper person. Overall it was a pleasant buying experience
I recently purchased a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited from the Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood dealership. Working with one of your associates, Megan Panoja was... definitely the highlight of my experience. I have never been treated by such a delightful, kind and knowledgeable individual as Megan. She was very thorough explaining all the bells and whistles of my new vehicle. After a year of service complaints of water getting into new Hyundai, mold and mildew is trapped in car and affecting health. After GM promised to open... case in September to investigate and resolve with Hyundai, to no avail, and numerous trips back and forth, on 7/21/18 GM told salesman and finance guy, separately to tell us that he was not at work. When we insisted we had been put off for nearly a year and water condition and mold worsened and refused to leave dealership until we spoke to asst manager, Mark came out of HIDING. He said he couldn't provide loaner car because of weekend but to return on Monday, 7/23 and he would have service people do thorough exam, and if they couldn't figure out the problem, a claim/case would be opened and he would provide loaner. We arrived on Monday, Mike, service asst mgr washed the car and advised they found nothing wrong and couldn't smell the mold. Mike advised that water puddling on floor board is normal for all cars as water flows into car from the windows, down the car door panel and drops inside. When we refused to sign invoice, white female manager, Jill, in service threatened to call police, because she said I was "talking loud" ... while black. Mark intervened but never mentioned his previous promises made on Saturday. Mark advised that he had nothing more to discuss regarding problems with the car. Because we refused to sign invoice, Mike and Jill threatened to keep the keys until invoice signed. I threatened to call police and GM, Mark, told them to give keys back. GM is unprofessional, service people are rogue and Hyundai vehicles have water leaks and smells of mold and mildew! Lots of complaints from Hyundai owners of mold and mildew online.
We were the SECOND dealership to look at your car not being able to locate mold like you requested. I can understand your frustration. We recommende...d that you change your cabin filter to get rid of the musty smell especially being 5000 miles over mileage. We would of provided a loaner if we found any issues with your vehicle. My last recommendation was for you to open up a case with Hyundai Corporate or to get a third opinion. If you need my help with Hyundai please let me know. Mark Bedell General Manager
I have been a customer of Gettle for many years, 7 vehicles purchase thus far. Salesman Dave S. was a gem. Michelle A. was a total diamond. The sales... process was low pressure with all my questions answered. So, the reason for 4 stars?. It was Steven in the Finance Dept. His attitude was less than professional, His hard sell of items we did not want fell upon deaf ears. He kept telling us that our vehicle will break down and he could see no reason why we would not buy the upgraded maintenance package stating that we can afford it and he knew we had the extra money. Well, he kept at it until I almost walked out and asked him what part of "No" he did not understand. His attitude was very obvious. At any rate, we finally were able to escape his office and pick up our new vehicle. I have seen other poor reviews on this Finance person, but he still continues to apply the pressure. Anyway, Our salesman apologized, I saw the GM and we left with our new vehicle. Gettle Hyundai is a great place to buy a car and has one of the best service staffs in the area. Just be cautious when you get to the finance stage and Steven is on the other side of the desk.
The first salesperson, Marek Zima (?), was awful. Once he found out my credit wasn't so good, he became unfriendly and not courteous. and wouldn't... allow us to take a test drive. The second salesperson, Willie McNeal, was totally awesome. Friendly, honest, courteous, a real gentlemen. He's going to make a great salesman. He didn't want to say offer any information without making sure it was correct. He allowed us to take a test drive. He was wonderful--he made it a great experience, even though we weren't able to purchase a car at the time. Hilda Figueroa, Internet Sales Team was wonderful, friendly and courteous
Although our car sales went relative well, albeit excruciatingly slow, I wouldn't recommend them at all as they make a big deal, sending emails, etc that... if you recommend someone to the dealership and they buy a car, you get $200. I am still waiting,..since July, 2017. I've sent and received countless emails, each time the responses saying, "two more weeks" and another reason for the delay. I even drove to the dealership and personally spoke with the GM who also said "it'll take about 2 weeks, I'll make sure it's done" - back in November. They've lost our business and hopefully yours as well. In my experience, they tell you what they think you want to hear and then do whatever they want.
Our first new car purchase in 14 years. Salesperson Callum was extremely helpful in explaining all of the new bells and whistles cars come with these days... and walking us through the process. Picked out a model and color that was not our first choice. Love our new toy.
I like the welcome and the salesman. The person that I don’t like was financial man, Steven, he was so rude and don’t want to gives what I want he tried... to force me to get what he wants.
