I am an out of town customer so a lot of communication was initiated on the web site, then by phone, email and texting This dealership was responsive to my questions, had more than one vehicle I wanted and was willing to work hard for me on price and payment terms on my favorite choice. The other dealers I tried to work with either became a bit frustrated because they didn’t have what I was after or were slow in response or did not follow up at all. Tonkin has an excellent team starting with Adam Tonkin who initially emailed me back on a Sunday, Then Deseray worked with me along with her sales manager patiently starting the very next morning trying diligently to reach me then as she got back to me repeatedly with answers to my questions, we negotiated in good faith over a couple of days. Then Shasta at Tonkin of the Gorge took it from there and exceeded expectations for payment and warranty terms doing better than I did myself by going back to my own Bank getting a better rate with easier terms. Bob Rhoads also at the Tonkin of Gorge dealership, made sure that we had no surprises, familiarized us on our new purchase and treated us like old family friends- can’t beat this experience!

Had a excellent day car shopping at Tonkin Chevrolet on Sunday 2/16/20 JR was our sales person and he was warm and very polite no pressure which was nice! Found the car we wanted and there was a chip in the front windshield he said we’ll replace it and they did the service was fast and great! I bought my truck from Tonkin via long distance, site unseen. Jayme was very helpful in describing the truck and providing the necessary information for me to feel comfortable making the purchase. Jayme picked me up at the airport in Portland and shuttled me to the dealership as well as spent time helping me set up the electronics in the truck. What's even more impressive is the service I received once I got the truck home and discovered some minor body damage. Woody in service was exceptional at assisting me in have the repairs performed in my home town and covering the cost. This what I would call standing behind your work no matter what or where it is.
