Bad experience buying here. Buyer beware of the bogus $1000 reconditioning fee they tak on to the price on used cars. I can't believe they brainwashed... me into believing that all dealers are charging this fee. I later checked with several dealers who advised they don't charge what the call a recon fee. The used car manager also lied to me and said that the VW Certification was included in the recon fee. I later found out elsewhere that the certification is separate. I called many times after the sale and could not get a hold of a manger, finance manager or the general manager. Then finance cons you into buying their bogus products by supposedly buying down your interest rate. It was all a bunch of lies and a pitiful buying experience
Dishonest, disrespectful and deceptive. After 2 phone call conversations with their sales rep David, during which he confirmed the deal terms and promised... to ‘honor’ their advertised price, we made the 180 mile drive from Austin to buy a ‘21 GTI. As soon as we sit down to do the paperwork, he tries to pull the scam about a factory required ‘protection fee’ of over $1200. Cannot believe they’d try such a deceptive and clearly dishonest attempt to ripoff a consumer that just drove 3 hours to buy a car from them. Stay away from this dealer!
Alanna was awesome! Such a sweet and bubbly disposition which is so helpful when making such a big purchase that can be stressful and plus these stressful... times we all are dealing with. Thanks Hiley Volkswagon!
I'm convinced this dealership only hires the sketchiest of sketch. Don't waste your time they will mess you and make your experience as worst as possible.... A bunch of kids are running this place..hopefully VW corporate will wise up, fire everyone and run this as it should be run but I doubt that will happen. Please do yourself a favor and never work with this dealership.
Stay away from this dealership if you are looking for mutual respect and a good experience. Their service manager is the rudest person I've ever talked... to. Nothing is his fault and nothing is his responsibility to fix. He is rude, overbearing, and elitist. He refuses to return phone calls in a timely manner, 9 days, and when he does he wants to make the bad experience your fault as the customer. The service department overcharges and if you aren't ready to drop a quick grand then you will not be treated with respect.
This company does a switch and bait from internet adds. A car listed for 6995.00 online with a 1000 hail allowance turned out to be 8400.00 after tax,... tags and etc...according to management the sales person was not able to offer the deal given. False advertising is what they are doing. Getting you to the dealership by showing a low price but then jacking the price back up once you arrive. We will never visit a Hiley dealership ever in our life again.
First of all , I have been a long time Hiley VW customer. I have had three leases through Hiley, and have never had a bad experience other than trying... to get the price down to a reasonable payment. This past time that I leased though was probably the worst. Two months before my end of lease, I asked about a new lease and about the extra miles that I had gone over. The sales person said that If I turn it in now before the lease was over, I could avoid any charges and that he could put me in a new car for the same monthly payments. So we got another lease, and all paper work was signed. Months later I get a bill from VW credit that I owed $1400 for over mileage, wear on tires along with two months payments for the vehicle that I turned in early.I call the dealership several times saying to myself that this must be a mistake. I even went twice to the finance department, and they made several copies of the invoice and several times they told me that they would call me back, and no call, very frustrating!! Finally after two months of me bugging them, one of the managers called me back to give me the bad news that the sales person does not work there anymore and that there was no mention about them buying my lease. He goes on to tell me that they " parked my car" for two months when I leased the new one, until the lease ended. I have had two other leases with this dealership and no mention that the dealership had bought my old lease out nor that they were going to "park" the vehicle until the end of the lease. I think the reason why I didn't have this happen before is because the previous leases had low miles and excellent conditions since it was just a three year lease and I turned in the vehicle early for another one and this last lease was a four year lease with the car having over mileage along with wear and tear. Needless to say I didn't have any paperwork saying that they were going to buy my old lease, and at the same time, they didn't provide me with something saying that my car was going to be "parked " and the new deal wasn't going to include them buying my old lease. I had to pay the money to VW credit so my credit doesn't get ruined. So If you must get something from Hiley VW, take my story into consideration and ask for the old trade- in to be written into the contract or to show some paperwork to show that they will be buying your vehicle. Don't believe the letters from Hiley VW that are in the mail that say to turn in your lease early to avoid over mileage charges and excessive wear and tear.
I had a wonderful experience. Found the perfect car exactly how I wanted it and Suzy was a great help! She made me feel comfortable, was very informative,... and was not pushy.
Your service dept is the best ! Mo is so awesome, always gives me A-1 treatment. I will recommend ya 'll you all my friends. Megan Kuehl
I have always serviced my vehicle at a VW dealership but this was my first time at Hiley. All diagnostics were clearly explained and when I decided not... to service my car, I was not charged for the diagnosis. I shall always go to Hiley even though it is not the closest VW dealership to me.
