I purchased my vehicle from Monster Motors a few years

I purchased my vehicle from Monster Motors a few years ago and opted into their extended warranty, specifically to ensure coverage for engine issues. During the sale, my husband and I were clear in asking whether the warranty would fully cover major repairs like engine failure because we knew that was not an expense we would want to pay out of pocket for. We were told it absolutely would — no mention of caps or coverage limits. Fast forward to today: our vehicle is in the shop with a failed engine, and we’ve now been told we’re responsible for $5,000 out of pocket, because the warranty only covers $3,000. The reassurance of full coverage was the main reason we felt comfortable moving forward with this purchase. That assurance turned out to be misleading. What’s worse is that we’re still stuck making monthly payments on a vehicle that no longer runs properly and is not safe for me or my children to be in. We’re essentially paying for a car we can’t drive — all because we were misled at the time of purchase. I’ve spoken to multiple people at the dealership to raise concerns about the ethics of selling warranties under false pretenses, and unfortunately, no one has taken accountability or offered a reasonable solution. I’m sharing this to caution others: be wary of verbal assurances that aren’t backed by the actual contract. Transparency and integrity matter, and sadly, we didn’t find that here.

Hi Kaleeah, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Monster Motors. We’re truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve faced with your car and the frustration around your warranty coverage. We understand how disappointing and stressful unexpected repair costs can be, even years down the road. At Monster Motors, we strive to be as transparent as possible when explaining extended warranty options. Unfortunately, all vehicle service agreements have limitations and exclusions that are outlined in the contract. We encourage all customers to review their warranty paperwork thoroughly and to ask questions about any terms or caps prior to purchase. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry this situation did not meet your expectations. Your input helps us to continually improve our customer communication and ensure our processes are as transparent as possible for everyone. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. —The Monster Motors Team

Andrew Lammers sold me my car and I love it.

Andrew Lammers sold me my car and I love it. I was in a bind and only gave him minutes to prepare the one I picked out. He had it running everything was in working order! The cooling seats are fabulous! Thank you Andy!!

My experience with Monster Motors has been extremely

My experience with Monster Motors has been extremely disappointing. After purchasing my vehicle on May 20, 2024, I encountered a diagnostic code (P0463 - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input) just two days later. I promptly returned to the dealership on May 22, 2024, seeking assistance. Unfortunately, I was denied a work order, and the issue was never addressed. When I later requested an invoice for this visit and a detailed record of the subsequent repairs, Nick refused to provide any documentation, leaving me without any clarity regarding the work performed on my vehicle. When I requested the necessary paperwork, Nick responded in a combative and dismissive manner. His refusal to supply documentation was both unprofessional and concerning. Upon further insistence, I asked to inspect my vehicle. Rather than accommodating this reasonable request, Nick became defensive and repeatedly questioned my intentions, asking, "For what purpose?" To my dismay, Monster Motors proceeded with major repairs, including a head gasket replacement, without obtaining my consent. As a result of these unauthorized repairs, my catalytic converter was damaged. Despite the fact that I drove the truck in without any idling issues, it is now completely undrivable. Monster Motors is demanding that I pay for the replacement of the catalytic converter before they will proceed with additional repairs. If my vehicle was operable when I brought it to their shop, I should be able to drive it now. Further exacerbating the situation, Kenny Messner and Matt Benner have consistently failed to provide reliable communication. Despite their assurances that they would consult with one another and return my calls the following day, weeks — sometimes even months — pass without any follow-up. It is only after persistent attempts on my part that I receive a call back, typically at the end of their shift, with little to no progress reported. My vehicle has been at their facility since January 21, 2024, and I still do not have it back. The lack of transparency, dishonest communication, and unwillingness to take accountability exhibited by Monster Motors has caused significant frustration and financial burden. I would strongly advise potential customers to reconsider doing business with this dealership. Their disregard for ethical business practices and customer satisfaction is unacceptable. Date: April 1st 2025

Be aware!

Be aware! Monster Motors charges all of their customers an additional $795.00 on top of your agreed upon price. This will show up as a "after market item" and our experience was that you have no say if you want the "item" or not. We were not told about the item or its cost before the sale. Ours sales person was helpful and responsive.

So glad I did not purchase here.

So glad I did not purchase here. Was lead on for a week regarding a truck I was interested in.More than likely lied to by a salesman named Tyler and finance guy named Hayden. Aside from never being called back during our inquiry. Was told truck went to shop for trans issue.Wouldnt be available for a week, magically returned within a day.Tyler stated they would offer free delivery to Illinois for inconvenience ,then told by Hayden they do not finance in Illinois. Was told they would only accept full payment cash.Tells me the truck probably has a major issue or many and they would have probably not honored any warranty. If they did not finance in Illinois and knew this on day one why waste my time and lie about delivery.Too many flags here I feel lucky not to have gone with this scam dealership.

Bought a 2016 Ford F150 with 54,000 miles.

Bought a 2016 Ford F150 with 54,000 miles. Delivered with a "belt" squeal and a screw in the tire near the sidewall. Had to replace all 4 tires since they no longer made the tire model on this truck. While having tires installed, it was pointed out that the rear brake pads were at less that 10%. Replaced those and the calipers since one was defective. 8 days into ownership, waterpump went out and left my 61 year old cancer patient wife stranded on side of highway for over 4 hours (thanks AAA?). Thousands spent within 9 days of ownership on a serviced and inspected used truck. They also added a $795 Lojack fee against my wishes (Oh, all our vehicles come with that.) and couldn't find the second key/fob (over $400). They run this place like the shady used car dealerships we all thought we're a thing of the past. Do not buy from Monster Motors!

Bought a used truck around 2 months ago.

Bought a used truck around 2 months ago. The buying experience was fine initially. Purchased the truck and a few days later realized it was 500 miles overdue for an oil change. Was a little disappointed, but went ahead and got it changed. Also had an alignment done because of a vibration issue. Turns out the vibration issue, which continued after alignment, was a bad torque converter. The company knew of this vibration issue based on a sheet of paper from their initial test drive that they mistakenly left in the truck. This was never disclosed to me and was not felt on my limited test drive. I have since replaced the torque converter for a little over $3000. Called and spoke with salesman and sales manager, neither were helpful at all because I hadn’t purchased the extended warranty. Both were very rude. I would not begin to waste your time with Monster Motors. Unethical and don’t stand behind what they are selling!

From start to finish a great experience.

From start to finish a great experience. David Gilman was a consummate professional and extremely helpful for me and my daughter. Even though they could not get us financed through the dealership, he sent us to a place that he knew would very likely approve us. We got approved, at a competitive interest rate, and ended up with payments that we could afford! Would definitely recommend.
