This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a...

This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. They say on their website that “Our Value” is Integrity. They did not show integrity on 9/14/2021 when Joe Perez Sales Consultant lied to me the day I came there to buy a car. Joe told me that I had to buy the extended warranty for the finance company to finance me. I asked Joe twice in front of my son if he was sure that the finance company stated I needed the warranty for them to finance me. He said yes, that he was doing everything he could to get this deal done. He knew I didn’t have great credit so he took advantage of the situation to get himself a larger commission. I put the $2,000 down that I had been saving for the past year that day and signed the paperwork to take my 2013 Dodge Journey home with me. I was in need of a car that day and I knew I did not have a lot of options because of my credit. A week later the finance company called me to go over my credit application and when they brought up the 12 month 12,000 mile warranty I have on the car for $3,500 I told them I wasn’t comfortable with the warranty and didn’t understand why they would force me to purchase it. The lady on the phone explained that it would be against the law for them to force someone to purchase a warranty on a car, and it would be unethical. When I explained to her what Joe Perez had said to me, she told me I was lied to. The next day I called Larry Miller and left a message with the General Manager Jason Erickson explaining the situation and instead of him calling me back he had Sam Teran the Finance Manager who wrote up my contract for Joe Perez call me back. He tried to explain to me that it was a big misunderstanding several times and I finally told him that it was not a misunderstanding that Joe Perez lied to me to sell me an extended warranty that I did not need so that he could make commission. He said he wanted to make the situation right and instead of rewriting the contract without the warranty he offered to rewrite the contract and give me the warranty as a life-time warranty for the same price. I agreed to sign a new contract with the life-time warranty so that night I went in to sign the contract, while I was in the office with Sam Teran, Joe Perez paced outside the office door swinging his arms and clapping his hands to make a show of his presence. He was trying to be intimidating in an already uncomfortable situation. After signing the new contract with Sam Teran he assured me that he would send the new contract over to the finance company and my payment wouldn’t be due until the middle of November. That was over a month ago and I have contacted the finance company each week to see if the new contract has been sent to them and so far as of yesterday 10/25/2021 it has not and the finance company is wanting me to make a payment on the original contract this friday 10/28/2021. I have called Sam Teran 3 different times over the past month explaining the situation and each time he tells me that he is going to call them “right now” and he will get right back to me. I have never received a call from him. I am worried that if I make the payment on the old contract it will lock me into the warranty, and if I don’t it will screw up my credit. This is not the way to treat people when your website says that “Our Mission” is to Enrich Lives.

Get your used car from Larry H Miller

Our salesman Bobby was so patient and kind and he really cared about helping us get the perfect vehicle for our wants and needs. I would go back there with no hesitation it was a wonderful experience. Everyone in the financial department was very friendly it made us feel right at home. I give them a 5-star rating.
