I dropped my car off for an extended warranty issue & after 6 week my car still hasn't gotten looked at apparently .. there service department is fully dedicated to giving me as least information possible about when the car would be looked at or returned .. I feel ashamed to have let them take that money up front from me for the warranty, for such horrible service I’m getting in return id never purchase another vehicle or extended warranty agreement for them ever again in my life …

Avoid at all cost. Terrible service & overpriced.

Avoid at all cost! We are the owners of a 2013 Ford Escape with an accumulated mileage of approximately 50,000. The car was passed onto us by our parents who used the car for local trips in a small town. When the car broke down in the summer of 2021, we had it towed to our trusted mechanic who spent weeks trying to repair it without replacing the engine. Despite his best efforts, our mechanic ultimately recommended having the vehicle towed to a Ford garage as the “check engine” light continued to appear after multiple attempts at repair. Koeppel Ford in Queens was the garage with the shortest wait time, so we decided to have it towed there. Service Upon our arrival at Koeppel Ford in September of 2021, we met Vanessa. We summarized what had happened to the vehicle and provided her with a list of the recent repairs made to the car by our mechanic. We also made it clear to her that our mechanic was happy to speak with her or the Ford mechanic about the work he had done on the car. She wasted no time in berating us for not bringing the car to the Ford garage at the outset. Three days later, Vanessa called us with the diagnostic report. The first thing she told us was that we would have to have our Ford Escape towed back to our local mechanic because Ford was uncomfortable working on the car because someone else had already done so. If that was the case, why didn’t she tell me she was uncomfortable working on the car when we first dropped it off? Then she said, “I just wish I knew what repairs he (our local mechanic) made to the car so that my mechanic could better help you.” We immediately reminded her that we provided her with a detailed list of the repairs and that our mechanic was more than happy to have a phone conversation with someone at Koeppel to ensure they knew exactly what he had done to the car. She declined to have such a conversation with our mechanic saying “I would be fired if my manager found out.” Over the next few days, we spoke to Vanessa 4 or 5 times regarding the car’s disposition. She was consistently unfriendly and unprofessional, neglected to return our phone calls as promised and applied a generally nonsensical approach to the entire situation. After making the decision to have the car towed back to our mechanic to have the engine replaced, we spoke to Jose (one of the managers at Koeppel Ford) about our experience. He was much friendlier, but we will never set foot in a Koeppel garage again. Outrageous Pricing -We paid Koeppel Ford a total of $616 for the diagnostic, which included $400 base price for the diagnostic and some other charges for things "Ford requires to do the diagnostic." It took them three weeks and there was not a single repair made. Diagnostics in other garages in NYC are typically around $300. -Vanessa quoted $3,200 in labor only to replace the timing belt. There was no guarantee this would resolve the issue meaning we still may have needed to replace the engine. We never received the full quote. -Vanessa quoted "at least $10,000" to replace the engine. Even for people who know very little about car repairs, this pricing seemed excessive. Ultimately, we had the car towed back to our mechanic, who replaced the engine and did a few other repairs for less than $6,000. If you are someone who values honesty, respect, and good service, we recommend finding a different garage and stay away from the Ford brand in general. Ford quality This was a bad experience, but on top of it, a 9-year old car with 50,000 in mileage shouldn’t need a new engine to start with. We learned the hard way that the 2013 Ford Escape model has a lot of issues. Ford as a brand has been a disappointment as well.

Last year, I bought a 2018 Explorer (base model) for a decent price. The problem was the lack of touring; we didn't get to test drive. We were told that we could return it/exchange it before 7 days of ownership... That's a total lie! They made us drive from Long Island to them promising us that they would let us exchange and it was a bust! They were really nasty towards us as well. We recently sold the car to another Ford deal closer to home. That's when we found out that Koeppel Ford cancels the original manufacturer warranty and forces you to buy their own warranty. I'm never going to them again. We even tried going to their Nissan branch. They're even worse. Don’t buy from them; you'll save time and money.

I scheduled a service appointment (for a specific issue that I made clear) a month in advance, but it turned out they couldn't actually do the repair at the scheduled place/time. If that itself wasn't bad enough, they had no intention of notifying of me of this until I actually wasted my whole morning driving over there to tell me that in person (not to mention the month I wasted waiting for the appointment.) Clearly they don't bother to review/plan for upcoming work, or train their schedulers adequately. Total waste of my time. They didn't even apologize.

Dealer response

Good morning JZ. Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the lack of communication surrounding your service appointment. I would ask for the opportunity to learn more about how you made your appointment. Please contact me at jknoesel@koeppelautogroup.com. Thank you, John K.

STAY AWAY, No stars it what they really deserve....

STAY AWAY, No stars it what they really deserve. Absolute Liars. Classic car dealer scam. Saw the car I wanted on their website. Called and spoke to salesman Oliver Puello. After confirming availability and a back and forth with his manager, a price was agreed. Drove 45 minutes to the dealership. When I got there, they offered a test drive only to find the car had a flat. One person said it happened on a road test, another said someone slashed the tire, regardless of the excuse the car was not drivable. While they tried to find a replacement tire, we sat down to do the sales paperwork as previously agreed. On the phone, it was agreed that I would pay $2,000 over MSRP. When we sat down, the manager came over and told us they normally get $20,000 over sticker, but he would give us a special deal at $5,000 over sticker. What a SCAM. they drag you in with lies and then try to cheat you when you arrive. while the salesman acts all sweet and confused at the manager's behavior, the manager blames him for his inexperience. To top it all off, the managers were horrible bullies and terribly rude. They try to convince you it is your fault when it is they who are lying. Be aware of the lying managers WESSAM HAMDAN and ALBERT DE JESUS. They won't even give you their card but thankfully you can get it online. Oliver is just their scapegoat. Thank goodness for Levittown Ford where I drove off the lot with the same car the next day with no hassle at the agreed price.

UNPROFESSIONAL!!! POSERS!!!! IMMATURE!!! Went to Koeppel READY to buy. Asked for a specific salesperson and was told their job was to get customer to come in talk to someone like him. After clearly stated the model of the vehicle we were interested in, he immediately began to "steer" us towards a model they apparently are trying to get rid of. Worst of all, the vehicle WASN'T on the lot. He had to get it "from the warehouse. He then immediately pulled up a video he wanted us to watch as he went for the car...WTH!!! 20 mins later, we see him STILL in the dealership. He hadn't left yet. He announces he's leaving now.....AND SO DID WE!!! Very unprofessional environment. Too many employees on IG, or FB instead of attending to customers. Everyone I spoke to had little knowledge about the vehicles in the showroom. Maybe if they turned the music (radio) down and studied their profession, they could be more successful. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU STAY AWAY!!!!

I purchased a car from here 3 months ago. the car was a brand new mustang Mach-E with very little mileage. the car had charging problems from the first time i tried to charge it And had to end up getting it serviced 3 times in the first month of purchase. Not only that, i had to bring the car back 2 more times for the same issue and still no help. i have made complaint after complaint, called ford motor company and the better business BBB. The original purchase was difficult and unprofessional and i should have know from that experience not to purchase from them. they are rude and unhelpfu, please do not go there And inspect your vehicles!
