Recently I had the misfortune of dealing with Airport Nissan on Brookpark Rd in Cleveland, OH., specifically with salesman Kendall Holt and Sales Manager,... Jason. Being an avid listener of 95.5 the Fish Radio I heard Airport Nissan's advertisement. Based on their advertisement I searched their inventory for a used car. Having found a used car online Salesman, Kendall Holt contacted me and we set up a meeting to discuss the potential purchase of the car. Once I began dealing with Kendall it soon became very apparent that he was very uniformed in the car buying process. Because of this I was asked to speak with the Sales Manager, Jason regarding the purchase. I explained to Jason that Kendall informed me that I would be financing $16,000 when in actuality the price of the car was $7,400. I also explained to Jason that the payment was to high. Jason explained the high payment was because the interest rate was 17% and an extended warranty was being included in the contract. The extended warranty was something Kendall included without my knowledge. Jason also clarified the amount being financed--which was approximately half of the $16,000 Kendall stated. I explained to Jason that it would not be feasible for me to finance a car at 17% interest. I asked Jason if I would be able to seek financing at my personal bank vs. the dealership. Jason was very helpful in this matter and just asked me to contact him with the loan approval. Both Jason and Kendall were aware that financing through a personal bank is a process that takes one to two days longer vs. the dealership. I was able to set up an appointment within two days with my bank to submit by application. It was explained to me that the approval would be one to two days--which I previously explained to Airport Nissan. I immediately texted Kendall to give him an update on the process. I explained that I felt good concerning the matter and would be in touch with him within the one to two days. Expecting a positive response from Kendall I instead received a sarcastic text regarding the length of the application process. He then proceeded to call me and explain himself. However, the conversation soon digressed and I asked to speak with the Sales Manager, Jason. Jason did get on the phone--I began to explain the situation and he talked over me and said he saw Kendall's text to me and then he hung up on me. I called back thinking it was some type of mistake--however it was not. Jason would not take my phone call, nor would anyone in upper management. I sent a text to Kendall stating I would not being doing business with a company like Airport Nissan. In doing research concerning reviews about Airport Nissan I came across a Google Review whereby a customer stated his dissatisfaction with Kendall Holt and Airport Nissan. The review was very similar to what I experienced. The reviewer stated that Kendall Holt was rude and disrespectful. I decided to mail copies of the reviews to the Salesman, Kendall Holt, the Sales Manager, Jason, Management, and the President of Airport Nissan. I wrote on the copy of the review that it was obvious that my experience with Airport Nissan was not unusual and that Airport Nissan did not taking any steps in trying to rectify the dissatisfaction of the obviously large number of dissatisfied customers. The only response I received from Airport Nissan was from the Salesman, Kendall who called me and told me I needed to better research the reviews I found. Based on the disrespectful nature of the call, and how the Sales Manager, Jason previously hung up on me--I did the same. It is my hope that Airport Nissan will stop harassing me. In all of my many car buying years I have never dealt with a company that was so disrespectful, rude and disingenuous. If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Airport Nissan please reconsider. I would hate to see you have to go through the same experience!
The crew at Airport Nissan ROCKS! Alec in sales got us the deal we were looking for on my wife's 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, Kim and Ryan in finance... took care of business and Phil had a buyer for our 2007 Liberty trade-in before we left the dealership. Unheard of service, professionalism and respect for our time, 5+ stars!!!
