SIX WEEKS ago I took my car in to this dealer for a repair. Jesse, in repairs, called me the next day to tell me that they looked at my car and could... not find the leak (the reason my car is there) after they ran a hose on it. I said thank you and we ended the call. I have heard absolutely nothing from him since then. SIX WEEKS. I called the manager of the service department, Don, to discuss the matter with him and he has not called me back. This is an unacceptable way for a dealer to treat customers. Where is the 'service' in customer service? I am not sure how this is going to turn out (since no one seems to want to contact me about the car that I own that is sitting on their lot), but I can assure you that in the furture I will NOT be going back to them for anything, service or sales. For the record, this is my 3rd Hyundai car, I have owned a Huyndai since 2008 so I am a fan of the brand, just not the dealer.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! DO NOT RISK YOUR CAR IN THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! The worst experience you can have in... your life, guarantied! Very unprofessional and impolite people. I purchased my car from this dealership and have been regularly visiting since then for service and maintenance. I was hoping that I will avoid issues with the car that way. Unfortunately, their technicians themselves causing the problems. They are not even able to properly align the tires. I had to change all my tires due to their incredibly poor workmanship. If you are not satisfied with their service, do not raise any concerns! Otherwise, your new battery may die out right after you leave the dealership. That is what has happened to me. Do not expect the manager be helpful and find a resolution. He will only laugh at you when he heard over the phone that your battery is dead right after the service and you are at a shopping center need roadside assistance. This business is absolute trash!
I came in to buy a new car after my old one broke down on me in Monroe. I was only supposed to be in Athens for a day and in turned into two. Tahir helped... me pick out the perfect car for me, completely new, little down payment, and great interest rate! The process was so fast, I didn't even realize we were done. The longest part was waiting for it to be detailed at the end. (There was a massive truck in front of me, so it took a minute). If I had to do it again (hopefully not for a while), I would make the trip out to Athens. It's worth great service with a non-pushy salesman.
Over the Memorial Weekend we searched the internet for car deals. We printed the best ones and went to the dealerships on 5/28/19 to test drive vehicles... and make a decision. Hyundai of Athens was the only dealer who would not honor their advertisements. After our test drive, the sales manager; Jake Gilleland, told us there was a tech error and the car was not 16,000 it was actually 19,000. We told him no thank you, that he should honor our print out, but he would not. So we asked for our $50 gift certificate for our test drive and he said it would be emailed to us. Today is July 9, 2019 and we have never received our gift certificate. We have called him 6 times. Half the time he will not come to the phone and the other times he tells us he is working on it. Both Kia and Buick sent our test drive gift certificates within two days. We bought a Kia Optima.
This dealership replaced a $4000+ wiring harness in my 2016 Sonata, back in July. Fast forward to December and the electronic steering seizes, and I had... the car towed to Rick Case Hyundai in Alpharetta, who discovered that Hyundai ATHENS wrapped the wires around the *)(*)* steering column and the friction damaged the wires. I will update tomorrow after I speak with the service manager in Athens to determine if he is going to rightfully assume financial culpability for yet another harness. I wouldn't let Hyundai Athens work on a tricycle!
I bought a 2009 gmc truck from here and they told me nothing was wrong with it that it had been fully inspected and had not been there was about 5 thinks... wrong with truck I've never bought a car from a dealership and the next week had to put a new set of tires on truck because they wouldn't put a new set on atleast they are fixing what was wrong with truck thank god but I still had to pay $830 dollars out my pocket for new tires
Mitchell, Thank you for your feedback and bringing this to our attention. I'm pleased that we were able to address the other items and you were satisf...ied with the outcome. However, we apologize the inconvenience of having to purchase new tires. We value our customers and we'd be happy to discuss this situation to regain confidence in our dealership.
