We test drove a 2017 Ford Escape and decided to keep it in the lineup of cars we were looking at, the dealer ensured us the battery component would be... working as it needed a boost to start. When we went back a few days later to take a second look we decided to buy but the agreement the dealer indicated to us was that everything would be fixed or we could bring it back to having these things fixed. When we 1st test drove the sunroof worked. The dealer said when we were buying the car that they were filling up the tank when we left the car lot we were on almost empty. A couple days later I went in to indicate the engine light was on and sunroof wasn't working and was promised (on tape recording) that those items would be fixed. The following day the car overheated and we put antifreeze in an EMPTY reservoir which seemed to fix that problem but when we filled up the washer fluid tank it just leaked through. When I called the following day and had those complaints added to service needed, they said they could look at it several days later. The following Tuesday when it was in for repairs they only did a tune-up to "fix the check engine light" and that the other items fell under the "bought as is" clause disregarding the promises made at sale date.and days following. Repair work was promised but there is no service department really here and so only half of what was committed to was done.
Contacted them about a vehicle priced below average and was told it was available. Once I get there two hours later, I'm told it was sold yesterday, but... they'd be happy to show me an identical vehicle that's $4000 more.
Called the dealership to ask about a vehicle online. A salesperson answered the phone and I inquired about the Subaru I was calling about. Since I would... being driving a few hours to get to the dealership I asked the salesperson if they would walk around the vehicle and inspect it while I was on the phone with him, just wanting to get a feel for the vehicles condition before I committed to traveling the distance. The salesperson replied “I won’t do that” and hung up on me. I called back 3 time to speak with a manager but no one answers the phone. The jerk must be the only salesperson on duty.
I went in ready to buy. It took salesman 10 min to get me first key. I wanted to see 6 of the SUVs that were comparable. He said he could only get one... key at a time?? I would wait to see one car, he'd run back to get next key, come back...etc, etc. I wanted to make it very easy for them to make a sale but they seemed in no hurry. SMH Once I got to purchase, everything was pretty straightforward except for $799 lifetime window tint warranty. They charge it on ALL cars. A lifetime warranty for a tint job on a used car :) I said no thanks for the warranty but it wasn't optional. Just be honest and say it is an administrative fee. Instead they choose to lower the sales price $800 to appeal to the customers to come in, then put on a bogus $800 charge. It feels very unprofessional there. Plus, the Carfax reports are all there, but they don't make them accessible. I had to research to see that I was looking at a LEMON vehicle. I would not have been happy finding that out later.
Showed salesman the car i wanted from web. Worked with me on financing and paid off my trade. Gordo was great to work with and i have no problems recomending... them.
Went in to test drive a car advertised with leather seats, only to find out the car listed online did not have leather seats and that they had no model... on the lot with leather seats. Walked out.
We went to see a few cars on Bell rd., When we saw that one car had medium rear end damage, the salesman response was "we only check to see that the car... runs". Why would anyone pay over $10k for a car that just runs. Don't waste your time. Plus, he wasn't even willing to lower the price with the damage. We bought 2 cats from them 5 years ago, and were treated much better.
Do not waste your time to go to this dealership bad customer service don't know how to talk to people trying to ask a question about a car cuz live 1200... Mi away and it got on the phone with very very rude sorry for my French.
Despite the poor reviews, I thought I would give them a chance. I called, made an offer and immediately was told, "no thank you" and associate hung up... on me. I called back and requested to speak with a manager, to be told that there was no manager at the time and he would take my info, but I'm sure it would have never made it there. Glad they saved me the time from driving to their facility.
Very satisfied with my buying experience. After much research Equity Auto by far had the best prices and did not pressure me. They also had a lot of inventory.... Would highly recommend that you check out this dealer.
