Ken was great to work with. When I went to test drive the car the first time, he had pulled it into a covered area inside to go over the car, then let... me test drive it by myself. He was courteous and responsive to all questions throughout the process.

Vehicle we were interested in was waiting, parked in front of showroom upon arrival. Knew up front that the advertised price was no-haggle. To tell the... truth, I would rather haggle, but their price was approx. $800 below market average, and car in excellent condition. Trade in figure was exactly what I thought they would offer; couldn't squeeze another $500 out of the deal. Would have walked out at that point if the Volvo hadn't been exactly what we were looking for. Went here prepared to spend 3-4 hours, spent 2 hours start to finish, and that would have been less if I wasn't such a nitpicker. Car was delivered out of state to Nashua, NH 2 days later; would have been next day, but a snowstorm intervened. Overall one of my best car buying experiences in 53 years of car purchases. Could I have found a better price? Maybe if I were willing to travel 150 miles or more. Local dealers didn't have what we were looking for. Didn't want to waste a lot of time and gas going to multiple dealers for vehicles that didn't meet our requirements. Dealerships that are willing to spend the advertising dollars can expand their market exposure online. I did a 100 mile radius search to find this vehicle. Link to Carfax history adds value.

Found this dealership through a friend. Was greeted by the receptionist when I walked through the door, she pointed out various areas within the lobby/showroom... (check out the bathrooms) that may be of interest to me. I met with Kevin and Ken and discussed what I was looking for (still undecided at that point) Ken brought the cars over that we discussed and off to drive them we went. Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the car(s), this was very refreshing. I took 3 months to buy a car, dealt with quite a few sales people. I think a sales person should know their product and I wish I had started here. Ken worked with me to go over options and packages and offered to bring cars from other places they had if needed. I had a budget, Kevin and Ken understood and really went above and beyond to help me stay within that budget. I then met with Mark in financing, we quickly discussed extended options and other services offered. I signed his desk (so cool) and we were done. (15 minutes) After 7 years and 175,000 miles on my Buick Enclave it was time to move on... I love my new XC90! P.S...Ladies, never once did they ask me if I was buying this on my own (which I was) or if I needed to ask my husband! That was the real selling point. I dreaded going to car dealer - it always seemed like such a hassle but when I arrived I was happy to work with Ken Scalia. No Pressure - no extras - we... talked about the car - he let us drive it and made a great deal. The dealership was neat and clean - bathrooms impeccable (my 97 year old father was with us) - everyone from Ken - to Mark to Lysandra were wonderful. Even though it is more than an hour away from our house, I would go there again to purchase a car. No issues, no complaints - only compliments!
I would like to take the time to share with you my experience of recently purchasing a vehicle from Volvo Cars Plymouth, as it seems people... only take the time to compose a letter when they have a complaint but never take the time to praise anyone for a job well done! It was a sunny day about a month ago and I drove into their dealership in Plymouth as I was looking to replace the older Acura that I was driving, I was immediately approached by a sales representative who introduced himself as Ian Duffy. He first took the time to listen to me and qualify my needs and desires of what I was looking for in a car. Without going over all those expectations I can tell you he knew just right where to bring me which was a lineup of pre owned lease or executive S 90's, they stood out like Jewels in the sunlight! This was just the beginning of my buying experience, Ian took the time to show me the inventory and explained about their "Pure Price" policy. At first I didn't believe it, I thought it was just another Gimmick as all my past car buying experiences have been what I might label as unpleasant with a lot of pressure and haggling over price. At this time I took all the Information that Ian had given me and left the dealership to think it all over. Now I returned to the dealership with the intension of purchasing, I might add that it was the first dealer that I went to , I know the saying goes "Shop us Last" but in this case they won my business by the first impression I got from Ian as he represented the dealership. As I toggled between the Gray one and the White one with two different interiors Ian went over all the features and took the time to explain everything thoroughly to me, I would include his product knowledge was incredible! After taking the cars for a test drive it was now time to sit down and talk over the deal, I have to say I'm a hard sell for I don't like to leave any stone unturned with what is a very large purchase to me, I admit for whatever reasons was having some reservations, this was when the manager Kevin Misanko came over not to interrupt but to join in so they could do whatever possible to deliver the car to me. Kevin and Ian made me feel relaxed with no pressure as they were working as a team, with no barrier between them and myself as they were very patient to serve my needs,from then forward everything went so smoothly. When he shook my hand, which means everything to me, I knew he was a man of his word and I was going to complete my purchase and become a customer. The story doesn't quit end here, I might add when Ian was not available Ken Scalia another member of the sales team was so helpful in answering any questions that I might of had, When it was time to complete the paperwork for the sale the F & I representative Mark Leone took the same time to explain everything to me thoroughly as I went through this process, everything flowed so smoothly. They should feel very fortunate that you have such a professional and courteous team as Kevin, Ian ,Ken and Mark representing Volvo Cars Plymouth. I will have to rate this whole buying experience as a "10". In closing I can only hope that my experience in the Service Department is of the same quality and if so I will be the biggest advocate to boast of the customer experience at this dealership and recommend it to everyone I can. It was truly an enjoyable and outstanding experience dealing with the Volvo Cars of Plymouth Team. They made me feel comfortable, offered a great deal... and gave me the highest level of confidence about the quality of the vehicle and support that I will be getting in the future. I have purchased over 20 cars in my lifetime. This is the first time that I didn't feel the stress or pressure of buying one as I had in the past, I contacted Ken Scalia, my salesperson several times about issues for which I was concerned about my vehicle. He was always supportive, kept his cool and showed the integrity of a true professional. I felt so much better after our conversation knowing that he was so honest and knew how to make me feel at ease. The experience felt more like visiting friends than it did to buy a car.
