    Michael was a very nice guy, but I do have a couple issues. First, the cars on his lot look nice and I am glad I bought the car. However, I have a bad... taste in my mouth about the experience. Working with Cars KC confirmed that you should ALWAYS have the car inspected by a 3rd party before purchase. I didn’t. I was from out of town and had logistical issues trying to get the car from the lot to the Audi dealer to inspect. I will never make that mistake again! 1. It is highly likely that the car had been in some sort of front end collision. This was pointed out by a local Audi/VW mechanic who I have used for years and trust. He pointed out the car was missing a bracket that holds the radiator expansion tank in place ($150.00 part) and another broken clip that holds the radiator in place. Then I had an inspection performed by an Audi dealer. Immediately when I pulled the car into the Audi service bay the Service Manager said, “Looks like the car has been in a front end accident.” I asked him why he thought that and he said the first clue was that the front molding had been repainted and a clip that held some trim in place was broken ($200.00 to replace the piece). I thought that the piece simply needed to be pushed back in and it did stick for me during my inspection of the car but then popped back out on my way home. 2. Secondly, the air conditioning did not work. On the day I test drove the car it was cool outside and I mistakenly thought that it was working. After getting the car home, the next day we had hot weather. The issue was a sensor that had to be replaced - fix was nearly $600.00. 3. The Audi dealer the identified that the motor mount bearings are starting to leak. Fix - $1,800.00 So far: $150 (without labor) $200 $600 $1,800 = $2,750 4. When the customer wants to know all the imperfections of the car before traveling five hours then show the flaking paint on the grille (it looks bad and is about $1,000 to replace). Maybe he doesn’t have an eye for detail or maybe this supports the idea that he wasn’t going to make any money and wanted to move the car. The one issue he pointed out was “a scratch” on the back panel above the taillights that had been “touched-up.” Well, it’s not a scratch, the paint is bubbling up and coming off. Either they did not inspect the car, were not qualified to perform the inspection, or the issues were hidden and not disclosed. As a business owner I have learned a couple of things: 1. Clients like it when you are direct and upfront about the deal. Michael said that if there were any issues “just let me know, but don’t call if the radio doesn’t work.” Well, air conditioning not working seems like a bit more than the radio not working. Here is the rub, stick to the 30 day warranty and not give the impression you will support the customer beyond that. His response via text was “we are done buddy.” Then the typical follow up, “I didn’t make any money on the car.” Plus my first text to him about the issue went unanswered for a day and he only responded when I messaged him again. This leads to my next issue: 2. When you say that you will follow-up in 30 minutes because you know your customer needs to make a decision, follow-up in 30 minutes. Again and Again, he kept telling me he would get me pictures or video of the car in a short timeframe and I found myself calling and messaging him to remind him and find out what the status was. The process lasted from 10am until 1:43 in the afternoon. I was driving from Iowa, which he was aware and he knew I wanted to leave in the morning. Plus, if you are sitting on a car you just cut the price 1k so you can move it because you weren’t making any money on it, when a prospective customer says they will be down that day to buy it with no haggling on the price, be responsive. Sounds like an easy sale. 3. Disclose there is only one key. Keys for the Audi cost roughly $350.00.

    This was the best buying experience in purchasing a vehicle I have had. Mike was professional, very informed on the vehicle, and straight forward to the... value of our vehicles. I bought an older Mercedes that was in impeccable condition. Will definitely go to this website and lot first when looking for my next vehicle.

    Buyer beware - Dealership is not honest. I would not recommend to others based on recent Ebay interaction. Please proceed with caution. Decided to shop... elsewhere.

    Mike blew me away. He made an offer on my car with only the pictures I showed him on my phone. He said that If the car looked like the ones in the picture... and drove like I said it did, he would write a check immediately. Believe me, I'm a skeptic. I called Mike two weeks when I was on my way back to KC. later with my car on my car hauler. He took a look at it and asked if it ran. I jumped in, started it right up and backed it off the trailer. He said, "I'll buy it". His mechanic drove it around the block while we were inside. Mike had already drafted the check and he took possession within a 1/2 hour. Smoothest transition in buying/selling a car I have ever had. I'm encouraging my daughter and son-in-law to talk with Mike about buying a mini from him. I am sure they will have the same great experience I had. And, I will be going back to Cars-KC to buy my next car from Mike.

    Mike was amazing to work with. We drove from Iowa to test drive and buy. He was accomodating and patient with our payment. Highly recommend you look to... Mike for the best buying experience!

    Never got a spare key as promised. No reply even after writing emails. So downgrading my review from excellent to average. However buying process was quick... and smooth. It will cost at least $250 to obtain a spare key.
