I chose shopping for a new car option up top because it wouldn't let me submit this review without picking something. But anyway I received a hard inquiry... on my credit and I never authorized them to run my credit. They never even got back to me when I reached out to them about the vehicle. I started to fill out the online financing application but I never submitted because I remembered I didn't have my wife license information on hand so I exited out of the application without even pushing the submit button. So why did they think it was okay to run credit when I didn't even finish filling out the application or submitting it neither did any body contact me. So you ran my credit but never even talked to me.
They worked hard to get me approved for a loan. Now one week after my first payment I'm stuck with an expensive paperweight unless I dump substantial money... into engine repair. Amazing how it had a fresh inspection and service sticker. I mentioned some of the things I noticed when I decided to proceed with a deposit thinking these few minor items would be fixed since I paid their asking price without haggling. I was wrong. The salesman was cool but the small problems I mentioned were to the owner himself. I guess that's what I get and why I hate car shopping. I expected some minor issues with a 2004 Mitsubishi, but with just over 100k I shouldn't have to past the price of the car again just to fix an engine.
Bought a car from here mid July. Test drove many many cars at the larger lot and most were in pretty rough shape, the guy at the front even told me not... to bother test driving some of them because they were that bad. Seemed to not believe the issues i was having with the “decent” cars. Went to a smaller lot and was met with a very friendly man who sold me the car I have now. It drove like a champ for the test drive and about a week after purchasing I was having serious issues with it and I still am. Maybe that’s my fault and I should’ve realized they were selling junk after the first lot. Still wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
My husband and I drove from Brooklyn, MD (Baltimore) to purchase a 2011 Jeep Compass. Before traveling there, I spoke with sales manager Mitch a couple... of days before and he agreed to keep the vehicle for me until Saturday and stated that I could come at anytime, as long at it was by 6pm, as the dealership closes at 7pm. Mitch seemed decent via phone, although he never returned my calls and I had to follow-up with him. We arrived Friday afternoon, after confirming with Mitch that we had to correct location, as there are three. Once we arrived, we entered the building and Mitch greeted me and seemed friendly enough at the beginning. He shook my hand and headed out to find the Jeep Compass for us to test drive. While waiting, I walked to the opposite side of the building and noticed who I later learned was the owner sitting in his office. He saw me, appeared to be on his phone, but never greeted me. Once I saw Mitch pull up, my husband and I headed out to test drive the Jeep. Before driving off, my husband experienced difficulty adjusting the passenger side seat, which we noted. During the test drive, we heard tapping that was coming from the engine. Once we returned, we finished the inspection, also noticed the AC didn't really blow cold. We went into Mitch's office and that's when things became unpleasant. Mitch was rude and very impatient. He would not allow us to finish a thought!! He kept cutting me off, so I finally asked if he had somewhere he needed to be and his response was no. He basically told us, when we attempted to convey the issues we found wrong with the Jeep, that it is what it is, it's Friday evening and nothing would be fixed this week, that either we were going to purchase the Jeep or we weren't. I was floored, as was my husband! I finally asked if he would allow me to finish talking and he said, but preceded to cut me off when I tried to explain that I wanted to ensure that I wouldn't have issues with the Jeep if I purchased it. I then said to him that he was very abrupt! I asked my husband to speak with him for a few minutes and we went outside to discuss our options. The first thing my husband said was he didn't like his vibe, that he was very rude and that he shut down quickly because he didn't want to give unnecessary energy. He also stated that he wasn't sure if it were because he just didn't like Black folk, but that Mitch didn't seem interested in selling us the Jeep and my feelings were the same as his. We went back in and I told him I decided to pass. At one point Clay, another sales associate came into the dealership and he was very pleasant and nice. We flagged him down on our way out and asked who owned the dealership, he stated it was Neil, which shocked me because I stated that he never acknowledged me, which he then responded that Neil doesn't like to interrupt. We shared out experience with Mitch with Clay, he apologized and stated that he felt bad because we had traveled from Baltimore and he also saw that I had been preapproved by their credit union. I told him that I really wanted the Jeep Compass, he stated to give him until Monday or Tuesday to fix things and he would contact us, that he would also inform the owner of our experience. It is now Thursday and I haven't received a phone call from anyone in that dealership. I gave 2 stars because Clay was very pleasant and offered to help, but didn't follow up with us. However, if the option for no stars were given, I wouldn't give any stars. I'm upset and disappointed that I drove all of that way and allowed them to run my credit after my credit union already had to not have purchased the Jeep Compass. I would not recommend anyone to do business with this dealership, the customer was absolutely terrible! I am further disappointed that the owner did not reach out to us at all, so that sends a message that he doesn't care.
I had a great experience working with Rod and Mitch. I'd definitely come back to these guys again. I can't wait to put the top down and cruise!!!
While I was in there the they gave me very good deals and Rod Booth said that I got the best deal on the lot.
Strong Recommendation for clear choice if you are looking for a first car, great fast service! Also they work with you even if their are anything holding... the purchase back.
Everyone that we dealt with at Clear Choice was very helpful and friendly. They made our experience of choosing and buying a car a pleasant one. No pushy... salesman but they were there when you had a question or needed assistance. I would highly recommend Clear Choice when buying a used car at a fair price.
Salesman was very friendly knowledgeable and not pushy...totally recommend this place to any female looking for a car...looking for big stuffed hamater... for my new kia soul...
I could not believe how well we were treated. Before we found clear choice, we were looking another car that we had really done our homework on. Unfortunately,... it was not at all what its listing led us to believe it to be. So we did a simple map search and rushed over to clear choice. We needed two cars that day as our current car was just about falling apart and we simply needed a second. We had a firm budget and knew that we wanted a hatchback with great gas maileage and an SUV. In a matter of hours, Rod matched us up with two great cars right at our budget even have us some cash back for our junker. After driving the cars for a short time, we did find a few very minor issues that both the dealership and my wife and I should have addressed before the sale. Rod and Mitch took care of all of it because of the nature of the issues. I was almost certain that we would be told that all sales were final and that we were on our own, but they came through. All issues have been resolved and we could not be happier with our cars. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market
