    (Long, but here's why you should take your online car shopping business elsewhere) After hunting for a year for a particular make, year, model and option... I was excited to find a low mileage option At South Austin Nissan on Cars.com back in my home state. I immediately messaged them about the car thru Cars.com. It was late afternoon Wednesday but would have been an hour earlier TX time. I heard nothing back. The next day Thursday, a sales rep texted me to ask if I would communicate with her by text. I agreed. She later wrote and asked how to help my search for a car. I explained which car I had messaged about and asked if she could send pictures. She agreed and took my email address. I checked email throughout the day and evening, and got nothing so I texted her again that night. Again, no response on Thursday. Friday morning I still had not received anything so Friday afternoon I texted her AGAIN, explaining that I hadn't received anything and needed to at least see pics of the car before booking my flight and putting down a deposit. She finally responded that she had given the pics to a manager who I guess didn't bother t o send them. Later that day, Friday afternoon, the pics finally came and that night a brief cell phone video. I responded to the "internet manager" by email and texted the sales rep that I wanted to put down a deposit IMMEDIATELY. I then paid for a carfax, priced flights and a hotel. The next morning, Saturday, more of the same. No calls, texts or email responses. Just random emails and texts from OTHER Nissan sales people "Bought a car yet?!" and emails from the internet manager who won't respond to me by email, return my call or answer his phone asking if I want to sell them my car, and now an "internet director" has emailed too. So I emailed back and start calling the dealership, NO ANSWER. I hung up and called back and ask for the receptionist to connect me to the "internet manager" and she put me into his voicemail, so I left a message. Then I sent another email. Then I call again. And again. I call the "internet director" who doesn't answer and I leave HIM a voicemail that no one has responded to me and I can't reach anyone at the dealership, to buy this car. He never called back either. Finally I call the main number and reach a sales person on the new car side and tell him I need to talk to a Manager. He puts me on hold and calls over to the used car side himself, and gets no answer! So he says he's going to drive over there and get them to call me. He tells me they close at 9pm and that he will help me make this sale happen today. I tell him I have cash and want to move forward now. Guess what? You got it- another hour and nothing again. So I call them AGAIN. Finally, I call the guy on the new car side back to let him know it's been nearly two more hours and still nobody has responded to my request to buy this car: Not the Internet Manager, Not the Sales Woman, Not the Internet Director, not even the other Used Car Manager he told me he would talk to. So he says he'll text me back, and finally texts back. Sorry! They said they have been trying to reach me the car has now been sold. WHAT?!!! What an enormous waste of my time and now I've paid for a carfax and shopped flights and hotel, etc. for nothing! It was also a fairly rare car, and instead of going to a brand enthusiast, it likely ended up with someone who will "mod" it or won't take care of it. The new car guy apologized and says he'll find me another one. Have I heard anything? It's been 4 days. What do you think?

    Walked all over the lot and nobody helped me. Went inside and nobody helped me. Walked into the sales manager's office and got some help. Buying process... is brutal. And, I own 2 Nissans now. Have owned untold Nissan's over the years as I buy nearly every year. They believe they are running a museum because at the price they want they are not going to sell them. I had a much better experience at another Austin dealer. Note I am a CPA so take the review as you will.

    Used Cars.com to find a used car for our college age son, called the dealership and was test driving the car we saw on the website within an Hour. Michael... Aldape was professional and really easy to work through the process. Highly recommend

    JAKE VASYLKOV helped me with purchasing a car. I did not plan to buy a car that day, as I was just browsing. However, Jake made the buying process very... smooth for me and made sure I was very satisfied.     As a first time buyer, I highly recommend South Austin Nissan. I have shopped at other dealers and this was the best in my opinion, with the car quality,... safety, prices, and their warranty! My salesmen JAKE VASYLKOV was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles, down to the small details. From the beginning there was never any pressure from him, we felt comfortable the whole time with my decision. He got me into exactly what I wanted, with a price affordable to me and let me add he helped me get my insurance on the spot for a low monthly cost, he even drove me across town to get paperwork signed. Believe me when I say that I strongly recommend him and this dealership.
