Dishonest Management - Beware
Spoke to multiple sales associates and a manager to confirm that a car was available and was going to be priced at the internet price....I take time off of work to go and the manager stated they are selling the vehicle I came over there for for $4,000 over MSRP. What poor business standards and shady dealership. Find a honest dealership, avoid wasting your valuable time.
Horrible service department
Horrible service. Purchased my new 2020 Honda Pilot from them and after a month my touchscreen and front dashboard kept shutting off while driving. Took it in for service and they refused to even look at it. One of the service leads, Crystal Montanez, told me it was a manufacturer issue that does not have a fix, so there was nothing they could do. She asked me to "just drive it like that until you get a recall notice or update from Honda." After insisting that they at least do an inspection since the screen and front dashboard was totally black as I was showing her there in person (which also means my radio, rear-view camera, and speedometer/odometer were all non-functional and non-visible), Crystal became even more rude and said "Fine, we'll take a look, but there's nothing we can do." After a couple hours, they called me to pickup my car and gave me a service slip that just stated they could not re-create the issue I had come in for. Even as I turned on the car to leave the dealership, the screen and dashboard were totally dead. Worst service I have ever experienced, especially from the dealership where I originally bought my vehicle from. I went to McGrath City Honda where after several service trips, they were able to successfully fix the issue and were polite and accommodating and communicative throughout. Shame on North City Honda - I recommend avoiding this dealership.
Very good service
The staff is very helpful and they are very clear about the features and conditions about the cars. I bought a used car and I'm very satisfied and happy! I would recommend this dealer to friends and family.
Two or three cuts above other Honda dealers I know
Summary points: 1. Best Honda dealership experience of my long life. I have a history with four other local Honda dealerships. 2. North City Honda is two or three cuts above anybody else. Five-plus stars, highest praise; honest, transparent pricing, no high pressure, treated like a human being with a brain. No nonsense like after-market add-ons. 3. Amazing deal 4. Soon getting a brand new building Everybody knows you can’t throw a snowball in the Chicago area without hitting a Honda dealer. They are everywhere. I’ve been to many of them. Not bad people but I have something better: North City Honda and its sales, service, finance, and management team. Absolutely the best buying and service experience of my life as a Honda owner.
Negligent service department.
Over $3,000 repair bill and they left the exhaust hanging loose and several wires disconnected. That was two weeks ago and had to have Element towed yesterday because it didn't run. Outside of car was filthy and covered with oily handprints when I picked it up at Honda North. Same quality of service as Fletcher Jones in downtown Chicago. What is wrong with the Honda field reps in Chicago?
