Took my car in for a recall and repairs. I left Tuesday with a loaner, estimate for $874 and a it will be done on Friday. Friday I call at 3pm get told... we will call you right back fast forward to 4:55 Oops sorry it’s late but your car is done you will have to pick it up tomorrow. I go on break give them the keys they women helping says that will be $1683 umm nope. I tell her in will be paying $874 less my AAA discount. She asks if I have proof of the estimate, I said yep it right there in your hand next page. She calls some guy over who says sorry ma’am that estimate doesn’t populate labor or parts I don’t remember and I wasn’t suppose to get that one. I told him I didn’t care that was not my problem I was only going to be paying what I was quoted and not a penny more. He finally adjusted my bill to my quoted price then proceeded too yell at the girl who helped me both at drop off and pick up. As I am getting ready to leave he says do you have the loaner keys? I tell him I gave them to the women who comments they were here but not sure where they went. I continued to walk out the door and he says if we can’t find them we will call you. I said I strongly recommend you don’t do that. I will never go here again or and of the Dan O’Brian dealership.
went in for a new car and ended up paying $6000 more for the car then what the dan obrien price was because I did not look closely enough. The dan obrien... price did have the keeping it awesome package included however they charged an additional 2900 which the sales rep stated it was 1900 for the keeping it awesome package. The sales rep agreed my paperwork was off and was confused himself as to what the finance dept did. In the end i know it was my fault however, there is a line of trust when your car is being detailed and the window sticker was never given to you. Because of the shady financing deal which there are THREE different sale prices listed in my paperwork they quickly went from 5 stars to 1. Everything was great the staff was pleasant and the whole process took about an 1 hour. NOW I know why. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM AGAIN.
BEWARE. DO NOT GO TO DAN O'BRIEN SUBARU OF CLAREMONT. Truly awful experience. Spent 4 hours there, left without a car. Unknowledgeable sales staff...... should at least know (or be able to look up) what cars they have on the lot. Lots of bullying about unnecessary add ons. Creepy financial guy that tried to bully my 80 year old mother... then he chased us out to the car trying to get us to sign paperwork. I am just sickened by the experience.
Do not recommend they lie to get your money they jack up the prices and offer a free Kia package keeping it awesome which they really charge 1995 for and... when you ask where the extra money came from they tell you that was the extra car options you selected totally disgusted!
we have been doing business with Claremont Subaru dealership for 11 years and have bought several cars from them. Dan O'Brien bought the dealership. We... went to Dan O'Briens to look at a used truck at 5 PM, test drove the truck and liked it but it needed considerable body work. The truck was supposed to have been taken to auction the day we looked at it. We came to a deal with the sales team and had to options to buy it. We told the sales team that we needed some time to think about it and would let them know the next morning. We left at 6:15PM and they close at 7:00 PM. They indicated that was OK but the truck might get sold in the meantime. The next morning at opening time we called to say we wanted to purchase the truck and were told the deal was off the table and they would no longer sell it to us for the price quoted. They were going to put the truck through their shop and sell it for a higher price. The whole experience was bad once the price negotiation started. As mentioned, we had been customers at this dealership for many years and spent thousands of dollars at this business. WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP! It is all really to bad because many of the former employees of Claremont Subaru stayed on and are still working there and are great to deal with.
40 days later and I cant register my new Subaru. No help, from dealership! Friendly until they get your money. After that you're on your own. No registration... equals a car you must pay for and won't be able to drive. I won't ever do business with any Subaru dealership anymore because of Dan O Brien Subaru
You have got to be kidding me! I made an appointment specifically to see and test drive a new 2018 Forester. I received at least three emails confirming... my appointment time. I arrive and no one is seemingly aware of my appointment. Eventually one of the salesmen goes to bring the car to the front. He returns and tells me the car is sold and begins to offer something else. I drove an hour to see THIS car (specified when making the appointment) because the’18 Forester is the last year it was available with a manual transmission. Later that day I received an email thanking me for coming in and for shopping at the dealership! It’s a joke. Never again will I deal with this business. I responded to the email, by the way, and received no response.
I highly recommend this business for anyone interested in a good and reliable vehicle. The team at Dan O'Brien's is amazing. Shopping for a vehicle is... hard. The not knowing what to expect, the hidden fees.. ect.. No surprises here! They help my mom find exactly what she was looking for at a price she could afford. With the help and knowledge they shared with her about her purchase was comforting to her. She has never been more confident and happy with her purchase. Thanks guys!
At first appearance, I already fell in love with this business. The lot was very organized, and the cars were placed directly back in their neat rows after... being removed. I was greeted by many friendly faces when I entered the room, and the environment was nothing but stellar. High praise for this dealership”
