OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I cannot say enough amazing things about Lucius Taylor and the entire staff at HBI Auto! I purchased a car from Lucius sight unseen just by talking with Lucius over the phone. The entire process from negotiations to closing the transaction was so nice and honest. These guys are straight up amazing people that have one thing on their mind and that is to make the customer happy! Lucius went above and beyond his duties with me. Phone calls, emails and texts were constant and extremely professional and always keeping me updated. I wanted to do some modifications to the car and HBI said "no problem we will take care of all of them for you" and they did! I purchased the car over 3 months ago and HBI had no issues keeping the car and making sure I was happy with the after market work done. I trusted HBI with my purchase and they proved over and over again they are an amazing dealer to work with. I WAS MORE THEN HAPPY AND I WILL BE BUYING MANY MORE CARS FROM Lucius and HBI Auto in the future. Customer for life! Thanks HBI Auto

I purchased a beautiful Red 2005 Ferrari F430 from HBI in December 2022. One of my decisions I ever made…..wanted this F430 car for 10 years +…..Jose and the HBI team made this purchase enjoyable. HBI is a full service dealer from service to paint correction and PPF service. I live in Ohio and HBI can effortlessly pickup and redeliver your exotic car as they have did for for me recently. My 18 year old Red 6 speed Gated Ferrari looks like a brand new model….Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary! Jose helped me buy this car for under $1600 per month with no early prepayment penalties……I have a great trusted partner taking care of my car with HBI. In the future I will be following HBI for a F458 😀

What an amazing adventure! these guys are the best I ever met. Really professional and prepare. Always available for pieces of advice. My 991.2 Carrera S Miami Blue is simply amazing. Great experience

Just purchased a Ferrari 458 from Jose, had a great experience! The car was just as described! He had shared with me all of the information on the car as well, as the documentation of the service being performed, and inspection. It was a out of state purchase which is always worry-some, but after seeing the car on FaceTime I felt comfort. I look forward to working with Jose again.

Bought a 2019 911 S today. Flew in to complete deal. Word of warning, if don't complete deal, lose 2500$ deposit. I was very comfortable w all aspects of transaction. Love my new/ used car. Jose a real car guy.

Where do I even begin.

Where do I even begin. When I received the vehicle, I paid for an enclosed trailer for transport (car was transport from North Carolina to Oregon)and it arrived in an open trailer. When the car arrived, there were many undisclosed issues. First of all, the car was FILTHY inside and out when I got it. It had some POORLY cover/repaired rock ships, mixed matched tires, an oil leak that caused the cabin to smell like burning oil, clear chipping off the carbon roof, loose tools in the engine bay, and was told it had a name brand exhaust system when in reality it has a backyard style straight pipe exhaust. I tried numerous with Lucius to see if we could come up with a plan on fixing the issues. I was told that management/ownership would get ahold of me. Fast forward over a month later and nothing. I've been getting the run around every time I try to contact someone. I spent close to $50K and this is the service they give? They haven't even mailed off DMV paperwork to my state DMV office or even sent the title to my lender. Super sketchy group of people. Please please take your hard earned money elsewhere. These people are crooked and don't deserve an ounce of your business. I even tried emailing both co-owners of the dealership and none of them ever reached back. My lender can't even get a hold of anyone. That right there should send you a message that they're up to no good. STAY AWAY.

The Sales Manager Jose is a very rude person.

The Sales Manager Jose is a very rude person. You can’t even attempt to talk to the person about pricing. If it’s not his way he will fill your ear and won’t let you get a word in and then hang up on you. He also will text you passively aggressively. He even mentioned to a disabled veteran that “you being a disabled veteran you should be more understanding”.. what did being a disabled veteran have to do with buying a car and being understanding that they mark up a car 5-7k more than what the car is worth according to JD Power, NADA, and KBB. And then he claims he submitted facts but he sent a scatter graph of cars in the area sold, but won’t include years. So it looks like people still buys a 2019 for 40-50k. Julie was very nice but due to Jose, this place is trash until he’s fired.

Dealership did not disclose that that the title of the vehicle I purchased would be branded as miles exempt instead of true miles. This greatly reduces the value of the car for resale. They were aware the title that was in their possession from when they purchased the car was not indicative of true miles based on North Carolina law. Repeated phone calls were either not answered or disregarded. Very shady operation for a dealership selling high dollar cars.

As Is can mean it will not pass inspection

I recently bought a 2009 Porsche 911 from HBi Auto. I was told that the car had been fully checked out and had no problems BUT note that they sell their cars "AS IS" which most car dealers do. After I received the car and went to have it inspected for licensing. It did not pass due to the hi beam lights do not work. So now I'm stuck with a car I cannot get licensed. I called HBi and talked to my salesman Jose and was reminded that the car was sold AS IS. I reminded him that I was told that the car had been fully checked out. So now I will wait to hear from Jose's boss and will update this review later. I think that a car that sold for $50K should at least pass state inspections.

One of the worst's if not the worst dealer

Very poor way to treat customers, or to treat fella people in general. The owner, Billy, reached out and agreed to meet in the morning to work out a deal. Wasted 3 hours driving and the owner wasn't even there. Should have at least have the decency to let me know not to come instead of letting me driving all the way out there and no show. Buyers beware. Absolutely would not recommend anyone to do business with them. Their location is in the middle of no where, out in the country side and doesn't look better than a junk yard, literally. I believe their main business is on the internet which is understandable since they do not have the decency to deal with customers in person. Again, beware when dealing with them.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful...had Porsche Cayenne serviced and they came to my home and loaded in enclosed car hauler...did service work...and preformed complimentary detail job before delivering...will use HBI again in the future...

Afraid of purchasing a car online? Don't be!

I have never bought a car online before, but I fell in love with a 718 Boxster S at HBi Auto. I really wanted a manual transmission and they're very hard to find. This was the only car in the country that perfectly checked off every box on my wish list. But I live in NJ and the car was in NC. So although I was super nervous about buying a car sight unseen, I decided to look into it anyway. And I'm glad I did. The whole process was easy and I felt very comfortable with the HBi team. Lucius in Sales gave me a FaceTime walkthrough of the car that very thorough and he answered all of my questions. Cherie in Financing was so helpful in getting the financing together that I needed. After I purchased the car, Jose the Manager and Dan in Logistics put up me neurotically texting them all the time for updates because I was so nervous. A week and a half after first contacting them, I had the most beautiful Boxster delivered to me from NC to NJ. It was a great buying experience. So if you're looking to buy a car online from HBi, don't hesitate. It was really easy. I'd like to thank the whole team at HBi Auto for a great car buying experience. I LOVE my car.

HBI did a stage-1 cleaning and ceramic coating on my 2017...

HBI did a stage-1 cleaning and ceramic coating on my 2017 Porsche 911 S. Zac set everything up and they even picked up/delivered my car in their enclosed trailer. They did a quality job and were very easy to work with. I’m glad to find HBI and will be back.

Salesman was persistent BUT they offered $4000 under KBB and I turned them down. I live 1.5 hrs. away and I sent in several pics in HD. It was a waste of time and I am glad I didn't drive up to them. Alot of work I put to be disappointed on the back end. Their Corvette was $3300 over KBB value. Can't recommend dealer based on my experience.

Update. I went there 11/26/21 and was so disappointed. I drove for 70 mins and left after 3 mins. The front end had slight damage to left/right side of it and BOTH headlights had condensation in them. The repairs alone are $2500+. I didn't test drive at all. Why should I. Photos do not make a car. And at $45,000+, NOT WORTH IT.

In May I bought a 2009 Porsche 911 from HBI that I saw on Auto Tempest. Overall it was a positive experience. The vehicle was as advertised and the staff at HBI was very nice. During the 17 hour drive home I was getting a bunch of warning lights on the dashboard, which was very concerning since I bought the vehicle "AS-IS", but it turned out that one of the battery terminals was loose, so those issues were easily resolved. I also discovered that the windshield washer pump was broken, but HBI handled the matter properly by reimbursing me for the cost of having it replaced by my local Porsche dealer. You should be aware that the dealership is in a small town about an hour outside of Charlotte, so if you are flying in from out of town to purchase a vehicle, its about a $200 Uber ride to get from the Charlotte airport to HBI. Based on my overall experience, I would not hesitate to by another car from HBI in the future.

I waited a while to purchase a 911 and when I started to seriously look, I visited HBI and they were so cool to let me drive all and we’re so patient with my questions. I visited A LOT of dealers to look at cars since that visit and decided for a car like this the seller was just as important as the car. I wanted a dealer that knew this type of car, not a Toyota dealer that got a 911 on a trade. Super people and amazing candy store of cars. Worth the drive!!

Scammed out of $1000

Shady business practice. I was scammed out of $1,000 for nothing. I was interested in a car they had listed online, and spoke with a sales rep. He verbally told me he needed a $1000 deposit to hold the car but that it would be refunded to me if the finance dept (which was closed for the weekend) wasn't able to provide financing per my requirements. I did not receive or sign any contracts or paperwork. The next day, I changed my mind and decided the car was not for me. Then they told me the $1000 deposit was non-refundable. Even when I spoke with the manager, Jose, he said their policy is the deposit non-refundable, even though I explained was not told that and I hadn't received or signed any contracts. He claimed potential lost customers who were interested in the car when I put the deposit down. But the car never was off the market as it's still on Cars.com They were just vague and shady and not very forthright in informing me the deposit was non-refundable. Don't do business here. There are lots of other dealers to work with.

We met your requirements to secure financing for the vehicle and then after the fact you decided not to pursue the car. I am sorry but once you commit to the car and place the deposit it is non-refundable. We were very clear about this before you placed the deposit. Fantastic dealer

Looking at older 911s the staff was fantastic. Super patient with all of my questions and zero pressure to leave with a car that day. The shop is top notch and Jose and Tommy were really a pleasure to talk with and know their stuff. For this alone, I'll pass on Hendrick or other dealers and would look specifically to buy from them. A hidden treasure in Mocksville.

Have reviewed HBi previously. Last year took my car for service elsewhere. Came back for annual, new track tires, new brake fluid and tech inspection. Received car back cleaner than picked up. Tire pressures and lug torques all spot on. Oil level set to recommended track level for GT4. This attention to detail has not occurred when had service elsewhere. Service here is continually improving, as well as the front end process. Loyal and happy customer of the HBi service team. Dealerrater will need to add a sixth star soon.

This is my first experience doing business with HBi and...

This is my first experience doing business with HBi and my first online purchase of a vehicle. I’m military and was home on emergency leave in Florida at the time of purchase. I’ve been searching for this particular car for almost a year if not longer. I felt that I’ve finally found what I wanted and initially, I was extremely excited. Additionally, a family member was purchasing the same vehicle from Carvana. The Carvana purchase arrived in two days. I purchased from HBi in late December and I haven’t received my vehicle as of today, 27 JAN 21. I think the worst feeling is paying a substantial amount of money and being completely blown off and zero communication as to the status of my vehicle or the purchase process. I finally got in contact with Jose to get a status on my vehicle. As it happens, the prior salesperson is no longer there and I fell through the cracks. With all the 5-star reviews, I am very disappointed so far. What would make up for this gross oversight is receiving my vehicle as promised and the vehicle NOT being a lemon. My review may change once I return Stateside and see the vehicle for myself. This is a lesson learned.

We also had to replace the headliner in the vehicle which is another variable.
