BUYER BEWARE

My daughter bought a car from these guys. BEWARE. They totally took her. She bought it for $18,000, the car broke down after 10,000 highway miles and was looked at by an outside mechanic. He found so many things wrong with the car that it wasn’t even road worthy. They would only refund $13,000. Total crooks. Again Beware dealing with them. I wish I could rate no stars.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE NOT UPFRONT ON FEES

I was looking for a VW TOUAREG TDI saw the car online talked to one of the salesman about the condition of the made a $1000 deposit for the car. I asked the salesman if there were any additional fees to the price of the vehicle. He mentioned a $485 additional fee. I said ok. I decide not to finance and pay for the car in full. I get a call from the sales manager over the sales contract. The total fees on top of sale price of vehicle were going to be $1350. I told her that was not the agreement and that the deal was off. She then told me that I was going to loose my $1000 deposit. I am disputing the charge with the credit card company hopefully I don't loose $1000 dollars. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Don't take their word for it. Have a mechanic chec

So the experience started out very well. Cole is a great salesman and a very personable guy. We went in to test drive a 2018 Ram 3500. Price was exactly where we wanted to be and was actually better than we expected. Come to find out it was a Salvage Title due to it being in a front end collision. They where up front about this and said that they went through the truck inside and out and it was solid. At this point we jumped on it. Truck ran great and continues to run great but the suspension was all out of whack. We didn't figure this out for four days. You would think that after a front end collision, that would be one of the first things you would address. 4 days after we bought it, me and my family where off to see my dad. While in route we experienced what is called the "Death Wobble". Now I get that this is a common issue with Rams and Jeeps but it can be avoided with proper checks and maintenance. Apparently this is not a concern of NEXGEN in their inspections of the vehicles they sell. I called Cole and he did everything he could to help me out but I am going to assume that management was shutting him down. I took the truck to the mechanic and was told by and ASE certified mechanic that the ball joints where shot and the TRAC bar was loose. Great job on that inspection NEXGEN!!! I sent the quote for repairs to Cole and all he could tell me was that NEXGENs technicians had too look at it to verify the issue. So apparently those technicians that didn't check the issues in the first place where better than a mechanic that had nothing to gain from telling me what was wrong. They would not accept this third partys opinion. At this point I don't trust anything they say. This issue should have been caught before they sold the truck too me and put my family at risk. I asked over and over if there was a return policy and if they would cover the cost of repairs. ALL IN ALL, DO NOT BUY FROM NEXGEN. EVERY THING THEY SELL IS A SALVAGED TITLE AND THEY DO NOT DO A GOOD JOB REBUILDING AND MAKING SURE THE VEHICHLES ARE SAFE TO DRIVE IN THE LONG RUN. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS PUTTING AS LITTLE MONEY AS POSSIBLE INTO THESE VEHICHLES AND THAT YOU SIGN THAT "AS IS" FORM TO CLEAR THEM FROM ANY LIABILITY. Cole, thank you for being the great salesman that you are. You can only go off of the information you have. Its the owners responsibility to put safe vehicles on the lot and unfortunately you get caught in the middle because the owner cuts corners to make a buck.

Brief interaction - disappointing

I'd been looking for a specific vehicle for a while - saw that Nexgen Motors recently acquired the vehicle that I was looking for. I immediately contacted them, ready and desirous to put a deposit down and then immediately travel the 1 hour drive to Orem. I was contacted only to be told that they'd get me the information needed very soon. This occurred several times. Ultimately they finally told me that the vehicle was sold to someone else. Not sure why they kept stringing me along, not sure why/how this makes any business sense. A simple, "I'm sorry but someone has already committed to buying this vehicle" would have prevented harsh feelings and could have easily secured future business potential. Yes, I sound bitter, I am. I will not recommend this establishment,,,and I didn't even purchase a vehicle from them. The pre-purchase experience was bad enough.

Wolf in sheeps clothing.

Don't be fooled. The management and sales team at Nexgen Motors is the same team that operated Prestman Auto when it was in Lindon. Prestman is still in business in SLC and has the worst reviews on the planet. Nexgen is just a new name. It's the same people and its the same format as the old Prestman Auto. Super slow sales approach... be prepared to waste a lot of time in their office while they make you wait for you to lose your mind. Be prepared to pay nearly $1000 in dealer fees. ($485 dealer doc fee. $299 VTR fee and $192 inspection fee.) ouch! one more thing.... expect a $3000 warranty to be in your contract. you'll have the opportunity to decline it but you'll have to endure a hard sell speech. I didn't buy a car from them. but i've had the same experience shopping for a car twice. Once under the name Prestman and once under the name Nexgen.

Masters at hiding issues

Bought a vehicle from these guys should not have. I looked at several they had on the lot two that I put up on a lift. Masters of doing bare minimum on repairs and passing it off as good as new. Tape, zip ties, whatever to make it look good it will fall apart down the road. I think rebuilt titles can be done right or wrong. They are doing it wrong. Nice salesman just trying to earn their paycheck I get that. The finance lady was short and bristled when I asked to many questions, sign and shut up appeared to be her motto. Buy a car from here if you know what you are doing, I wouldn't dare buy one without taking it to an outside mechanic, making a list of issues cause he will find things and make them fix it or beat em up on the price.

***BEWARE UNNECESSARY FEES***

We purchased a Toyota Sequoia for Nexgen last night. The sales team was friendly and we thought we were getting a good deal on our purchase. Unfortunately, I did not pay close enough attention to the Contract of Sale and it wasn't until this morning that I realized that the true cost of our vehicle was almost $500 higher than advertised. The reason for this is that Nexgen charges two ridiculous fees: VTR - $299 Inspection Fee - $192 The inspection fee is apparently to cover the 3rd party inspection that Nexgen touts on their website as an advantage of purchasing a car from them. What they don't tell you is that as a buyer you end up paying for the inspection that you didn't ask for in the first place. The VTR seems to be a Vehicle Theft Recovery service, but at no point during the sales process was this mentioned nor were we asked if it was something that we wanted to purchase. If you choose to purchase a vehicle from Nexgen, just know going in that the true cost of your vehicle will actually be $500 above the advertised price.

Great Experience

We had reviewed their inventory online, and stopped by to drive a particular vehicle. Customer service was great and personable. We ended up taking several available vehicles for a test drive, and we bought one of those. We spoke with several salesmen and they were all nice and no pressure. If you are comfortable buying a salvaged title, then I would definitely consider them. Prices are low and no haggle, and they use a third party company to inspect the vehicles after repair. We had a wonderful experience and hope you will too.
