So back in the day I was always told there's two people you never trust a mechanic and a lawyer. A mechanic would break something so you have to come back and have it looked at again. Which is my case now. I bought a used 2010 Ford focus car from Van Horn about 3-4 years ago last year I had a brand new AC unit installed with the value of over $2,000 so I went to use it this year and noticed it was blowing warm air so I set up an appointment went in and was told oh you have a leak and this is the only part that we didn't look at or replace (go figure)and it has a leak in it so $1,400 again paid out where I feel it should have been looked at last year with the full repair and it makes me feel like this is my fault. They did give me a bit of a break on the labor but that's about it really. Well somebody has to pay for that brand new building. But because it wasn't part of the parts they just installed last year it would have been a free but because it was oops we didn't look at this part of the AC unit and it's the only part they didn't look at and go figure it's the one with the leak. Just very disappointed very disappointed. And it didn't pay to clean my case because they just weren't going to listen. and now that it's all fixed I mean all of it I now have a lifetime warranty on it go figure. Just shaking my head and disbelief. Again a mechanic and a lawyer the least trusted people.

I set up an appointment on a Wednesday at 300 for me to try car at 930 the next day. So I took off a half day from work and drove about an hour down only to find out that they sold the car. That does stink, but I am more irritated that they didn’t email me or call me to tell me they sold it. I got there and the sales person just said “oh I guess you didn’t get my email”. Didn’t seem very apologetic and didn’t seem to care. So I wasted half day vacation to drive a total of 2 hours for nothing.

Terrible experience selling my 2018 Honda CRV. Came into Van Horn in April as I was waiting for my work visa to clear to get an idea on the value of my car. The appraiser looked over the car and offered $2k below the KBB guaranteed offer that I was emailed. Fast forward to July and my work visa cleared so I did the KBB appraisal again and received a call from Van Horn to bring my car in again. Same car, newer tires, a few more miles. The appraiser wastes 40 minutes of my time waiting after he viewed the car again. He came out and belittled me explaining his years of experience in the market and telling me things were wrong with my car when they weren't. There were 2 nickel sized dents in the front passenger fender. Hardly $3500 in body damage. Never an accident, 40500 miles, full maintenance record, Weathertech mats and a roof rack. Tires on the car were 50% and matching sets unlike how I was told each tire was different at the appraisal. His final offer was $5k less than the LBB appraisal, $2k less than what he had offered last time, and a tone of I'm better than you are. Needless to say I took my vehicle elsewhere and received an offer $6,600 more than the appraiser's and $1500 over the KBB appraisal. If you are looking to be bullied and belittled while buying or selling your car go to Van Horn, if not I would recommend anywhere else.

I reached about a specific vehicle and while they did sell it before I could see it, they were able to source me an identical one.

Since the service I can't lock the car or turn off the dash board lights!! I can't imagine what they did. They were closed by the time I realized it.
