9/17/2020 I recently purchased the Ford Edge SEL from Suburban Ford Sterling Heights. I considered the Edge and the Explorer xlt. I test drove both. Both had features I truly loved. But overall for the price, quality, drivability, features, room and comfort, The Edge won for me. The Edge SEL AWD has a decent price for all the extra features-I even got a vista sun roof that is amazing, handles well especially on the highway, very comfy front and back seats, and as a single mother It just feels safe.. airbags galore.. there is plenty of room for 3 kids and 4 corgis for travels. It does have a lot of buttons, but once you learn them all you will appreciate them. Garage door opener a dream, kick to open the hatch wonderful, keyless entry with push button start adore it, rubber floor mats have to have in Michigan, built in wireless phone charger omg.. but my absolute favorite is the blind spot detection on both side mirrors!! I have become so aware of those little lights and am thankful they are there. So many more, Just to many features to list really!!!! The Explorer was very nice, but the Edge is classy, and rides like a Cadillac. Why 4 stars?? There is a bit of a lag when you go from stop to start or when you are in very slow traffic, but it?s definitely not bad and once you learn the gas pedal, it?s easier to prevent it, everything else the Edge SEL offers makes up for that small issue. As of today I have no regrets. Oh and the magnetic color, beautiful in the sunlight. I get compliments all the time. If you are looking for roomy but classy at a decent price point, this is for you.. just drive on the freeway one time.. you will see what I mean!
