Excellent Service
Manny reached out to me promptly after I inquired on Cars.Com about a 2014 Jetta. He was personable and available to help me. The managers were very accommodating while we were there, as well. We were able to agree on a great price and I could not be happier with my Jetta. After dealing with some very underhanded people at other dealerships, it was refreshing to work with someone as honest and kind as Manny. I received a very comprehensive demo upon picking up the car, which showed me even more wonderful features on my car. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone!

After many bad experiences I finally came to Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville.Nether to say that I walked out of there in about 45 min and I got in my new car.Didnt expected it but it happened.Starting with the sales rep.Manny to the finance mgr Bill ant to the prep guy Jimmy was a walk in the park but the most important though is that I bought the car at the price that I wanted.No hassles no tricks,just good friendly people.I recommend this dealership with all my heart and I all honesty.Keep up the good job guys......really impressive

Second VW dealership visited for a new 2015 Passat. Absolutely no problem with the first dealer but Darlene and Moses were excellent. Here's what we can do and for what price with NO PRESSURE. No annoying phone calls or e-mails. Just a very friendly sales team with no hassles. BTW: not only was my new Passat sparkling, they even washed my old plates. Not a big thing but just indicative that someone still cares about the details. GREAT experience. PS: Jim Fry is a true gentleman.

The worst car buying experience of my life!
I needed get a car due to an accident. I went to Platinum VW in Westbury, NY. The salesman, "DOC", wrote down a price quote for the car I wanted. I then went to Bayside VW with the quote. They warned me that this was just a "tactic" to get a sale. When I returned to Platinum to close the deal, they did not honor the price written for the model discussed. They blamed the computer screen for the pricing error. BEWARE! Unfortunately it's still true - bring another person with you to negotiate! This experience at Platinum epitomized the reputation of the sleazy, dishonest car salesperson! I ended up at BAYSIDE VW where they provided OUTSTANDING service recovery and I was happy to give them my business. I gladly recommend the team at BAYSIDE VW! Kudos to Andrew Kovach, Emil Peychev and Angelo Alexiadis.

Ann we are sorry that we could not meet your expectations. Doc is a seasoned professional and you might have been quoted on a different vehicle than the one you wanted because it was the end of the model year. However he did go over the trim level that was available the vehicle he quoted you on. Either way you continued to put a deposit on the car so it could not have been as bad of an experience that you are claiming on the internet. We are happy you got the car that you wanted and wish you well.
Great service
I had such a great experience at this dealer. Costumer service was great and I was able to get in and out in a new car in the same day. I would recommend my sales consultant Al Toussaint. He was very nice and easy to talk to. He wasn't just trying to sell a car. He was very personable. I would definitely buy another car from this dealer.

Nail in tire side wall......
Sat. 11/15/14, I brought my '13 Beetle in for it's two year service. On my way to Platinum VW my tire pressure light came on which I mentioned to my Service Advisor. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I heard Joe Riccabone tell two customers that they had nails in their side wall and that the tires would need to be replaced. When Joe called me in to his office he told me that I also had a nail in the side wall and that the two plugs that are in my rear tires were leaking. The new tire would be $255.00. Having heard that I was now the third person with this problem, I declined the new tire. As I was waiting for them to put air in my tires, I heard a fourth person being told about a nail!!! (I didn't hear that the nail was in the side wall). I asked Joe how long he thought I had before I would have to add air, he said about 1 - 1 1/2 days. I had my tires checked out at a local mechanic and was told that there were no nails. Over two weeks after my appointment and there is no leak in my tire. I called VW Customer Care and did hear from a Regional Case Manager. He told me that he spoke to the Management at Platinum and that they "were sticking to their diagnosis"!! I will have to find a VW dealership that deals more honestly with their customers.
