The salesmen Darren that assisted me was excellent! He was very friendly, not pushy, very personable, very nice, and very down to earth. He knew a lot about the cars and explained things very easily to me. He worked very hard to meet my needs, I let him know what I could afford and where I wanted my payments to be and the car I liked and him and his manager got those payments right where I wanted them to be. Unlike most salesmen they always try to sell you on something else, or they think you have more money than you say you have and they try to come back with some price way over the budget you can afford. They definitely did not do that here. Darren was also very patient with me and helped me get exactly what I wanted and answered the thousands of questions I had. When I went to sign the paperwork I had to wait a few moments, they offered me and my boyfriend coffee and tea. Even the man in the credit department was very pleasant and knowledgeable when I signed all my paperwork. I have been driving my Volkswagen Jetta for a few weeks now and I LOVE it! Overall an excellent experience, and in my experience car shopping is never easy, but this transaction generally was.

Shopped for first car for teenage driver. Wanted used not new as first car. Sales rep worked within our budget, had the car and options we wanted. Car was ready when promised and was nicely prepped with full tank of gas. Would recommend to others.

This is my first new car purchase. I couldn't be happier with my overall experience. My sales rep Tom was extremely knowledgeable of the business and VW's in general. From the moment I walked in, Tom was extremely friendly and accomodating. Not too mention his follow ups were impecable. I would highly recommend Donaldson's to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.

I was looking for the best deal possible due to some personal issues. Shopping around, doing homework and going to many dealerships, Donaldson's provided the best car buying experience I have ever had. A friend of mine recommended me to them and the first day I knew I was going to do business with them and drive off the lot with an amazing car.

Thomas was very friendly and helpful. I also thought Robert in the sales department was good and efficient. A suggestion for the future is to tell the client that you will be transporting the car from CT and the car will be arriving with 128 miles added onto the odometer. I was a bit upset that my new car had that mileage on it. Considering the proximity of the dealership where the car was purchased to the Bridgeport ferry, that would have been a better option and saved the mileage on the car. The person who transports cars should consider this. The car also should have been cleaner upon pickup, as there were cobwebs in the backseat. Other than that I had a good experience and would recommend Thomas Banville as a salesman.

To Donaldson's VW,Sayville,NY It was a sincere pleasure working with Darren Bruno. Christina Notaro made the initial contact with me, and then introduced me to my salesperson, Darren. Every effort was made to assist me in my new lease purchase of the 2012 Jetta SE. I am very critical of what Customer Service should be and stand for. Darren and Donaldson's has far exceeded my expectations.Darren and Christina delivered what they promised me. I picked up my car this past Saturday,December 10th. I went over a few things with Christina and then finised up with Darren. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to go over the final details of financing and payment setup with Darren, instead of going back and forth between Finance and sales. I don't think anyone has ever explained the various functions of my car, as well as Darren did...including the Bluetooth,Satellite Radio and CD setup, the way Darren did. Darren also said if I ever had any questions about anything,to please call him. This is my 4th Jetta from Donaldson's, and by far,it's been the best experience I've had so far. Donaldson's has been our VW dealer for over 20 years. We shop around & always end back at Donaldson's showroom since the payment has been the lowest. Customer Service seems to be job #1. It comes down to the people at Donaldson's, either Sales or Service, I know I and my car are being treated right.
