Do NOT shop at Coachella VW (Volkswagen) at Catheral City in the Palm Springs area. Salesman James Granger was acting especially deranged at me tonight, doing a high-pressure tactics as if he was on drugs. His face and teeth did not match for someone who was in his 40s. Not even offering a test drive of a 2022 VW ID.4 nor an ID.BUZZ, which be a PERFECT vehicle for rideshare, especially airports and special events. $700 a month, 30% APR, sales price $20K with 25K miles of an early-build 2022 in its first model year. I said I wanted to sit on it for tonight, but he won't let take the offer paperwork home or pressuring to sign or shake hands NOW. He tried to grab the piece of paper away from me! I just crumpled it and put it in my coffee into the trash can. Similar experience with Moss Bros. VW of Moreno Valley 4 years ago, trying to buy or lease that same 2022 ID.4 at $52K with $45K MSRP at a markup for $600/mo lease. The sales manager Elle said that I need to have my salesman put his food on the table for his family.

Overall I had a good experience when buying a 2025 iD4. One suggestion if you're negotiating a deal here, is to pay attention to the particulars of your paperwork. I traded in a car that had an open loan. This dealer shorted the payment to the bank which I was left responsible for. When I called the finance department to discuss, I couldn't' get a call back. Maybe I missed something in the paperwork that stated they wouldn't pay off the loan in full but that seems like it should have been made more clear. Felt like a shifty move.
