Legitimately the worst experience possible at a Car Dealership. The salesman makes his deal, I walk out the door, and several things have happened since.... I have needed a few things since I left, and he has gone completely unresponsive. These guys are the most unprofessional, lazy sales people I have ever witnessed. Beyond ridiculous, once he had his deal he won't do a thing to help me. Something as simple as "can you send me this person's email?" or "I need copies of this paperwork." No response. He made his deal and he couldn't care less about anything from a customer service standpoint.
On July 12th, I stopped in to view new Ram pickups. I settled on a red Ram. Went in to the dealership and went through the usual "what can we do to get... you into this vehicle today" stuff. Very high pressure, but we did reach a deal. They were prepping the vehicle and got it done, as I went out of the showroom and approached the vehicle to leave I noticed a mark in the driver's side passenger door, as I got closer, I noticed a very large chip (chunk of paint missing, right to the metal) and several significant scratches, I turned around and went inside and retrieved the salesman, my first instinct was to refuse the vehicle, after numerous assurances that they would fix the vehicle, I agreed. He advised me someone would contact me to bring it in. A week went by, no one contacted me, so I called him, he said he would find out what was going on. 3 more days passed, no contact, I went to the dealership, and he was there, I asked what was going on, he went in the back for 5 minutes, told me to bring it in Thursday. I brought it in Thursday, went to the service desk, no one knew anything about it. After explaining to several very rude people, I finally met a very courteous service writer, who listened to my story and made efforts to address what was wrong, he went out front and talked with sales and no one would agree to fixing it, I then went out front and asked for the sales manager, he agreed to get things rolling, I left the vehicle and received a call the next day, they will fix the chip ( not sure what kind of job they will do), but will not fix the scratches, once again, no assistance whatsoever from my salesman. I have yet to pick the vehicle up, because they had to order the paint (I was advised this was ordered the day I bought the vehicle). I also was only given one key fob at purchased and have been chasing after this as well. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and this is by far the worse I have ever been treated. BUYER BEWARE!
Charlie Wilson was the best sales person I've ever dealt with. He could answer al of my questions about the jeep and he took the time to explain all of... the functions.
Beware -- It's not the old Carbone dealership...
After a great deal of thought, I will not buy a jeep again from Carbone Jeep due to its poor service department. They could care less about customer service.
don't go there unless you want problems, bad service, liars, deals made in the back away from you, cars that break down when you
Recently a friend of mine purchased a truck from Carbone cdjr, upon purchase he was promised new tires and other small details taken care of. Upon pick... up he noticed tires had not been changed, head light out and a few cosmetic issues. By NY inspection laws this vehicle should not have even passed NYSI for safety. Every manger has a different story, claiming they never promised this or that. I highly suggest looking else where for a vehicle! Their sales people are only there for commission and nothing more.
Worst place ever! Crooked dealer ship. Never again will I go back to this place. They don't return your calls and don't help fix any problems they say... they will fix
Loved the actual car BUT salesperson made it seem like because Carbone sells their vehicles at such "low prices" that they can't do anything else but... sell it. Like I knew something was off the first day I drove it home more than the mile test drive and then found out that the motor had been replaced a year ago prior to me buying this car, also the car need a light and they said oh that's has to be ordered you'll have to come back, well it's been two weeks and haven't heard a thing! Also the car had open recalls on it so emidately had to bring to another dealership for them, point being just a bunch of extra bs that I don't think one should have to go through when buying a 15 thousand dollar car
Bought a Jeep Cherokee from here. Everyone during the purchase was wonderful. Went to sign all the paperwork for the car, paid the deposit and reg fees... etc, guy said ok I'll be back with your keys. Came back to tell me they 'misplaced' my license plate and they'd get me a rental. Ok, fine. Fast forward 2 months later. My exhaust literally detached from the engine mount. Called up to say car was still under warranty and I had to be to work soon. Shelby was extremely helpful, said they would glad get someone to get me. Awesome. Transferred me to dispatch who very rudely told me there was nothing he could do and I'd have to drive it to Yorkville from Rome or have it towed at my expense and that they don't deliver or pick up cars (which I know they do since it was offered to me when I purchased the car) Got there and the salesman who sold me the car didn't even care my car sounded like it was about to explode. Another salesman took me back to service where I was hassled for a while before they reluctantly said it was still under the 90 day warranty and they'd fix it. I am appalled by my treatment after my purchase. Don't let them fool you. They will be sweet as punch to sell you the car but anything afterwards, you may as well be a brother thrice removed and shunted. We shall see how everything else goes, but it's in for repair at the moment and as it's the only car I have available to me we shall see how I get it back to me. Will update after it's all said and done.
