Part 2/2... So let's break it down, when purchasing a car here, or anywhere, please keep a record of the prices that are listed online. Call and ask ...about the details ahead of time so you're aware. Everyone has cell phones, so have someone take pics to make sure the car you're driving out to see, is still on the lot. Be careful that you could be told anything because they want to get you in the door, but make sure the e price is around what you want to pay for that car. 2. The car is not a Certified Pre Owned NISSAN until you pay an extra $1,195 even though it's listed under the CPO section of their site, and it's listed as Certified. (I don't think Honda does the same thing BTW, it's factored into the price). If you ask about the discrepancy, you'll be told "we have lawyers.. who, ya know..." Like Jessie told me. Really??! Ok. We work out a number that's fair. I'm ready to pay cash for the car. They suggest financing through them to beat the rate of my bank. But you know, you guys are "tired", you make "mistakes", "human error", "lawyers", I don't trust much that you're telling me, so "no thank you". I'm happy with what I've arranged with my bank. Greg, the financial consultant, takes us to the other room to sign papers. It's clear to me that I have to ask even more questions and triple check everything. He breaks out a pamphlet about all this extra stuff you can buy to protect the car. Windshield stuff and other products. He says he's not going to waste my time selling that stuff because you don't need it. He said that I do need this comprehensive warranty (bumper to bumper) that covers the car for the next few years. He tells me that only for $2,200, I can get the warranty. I decline. We sign some more papers and he says, "look if you want to get this warranty, I'll give it to you for $1,200." How'd it jump from $2,200 to $1,200 in 3 minutes?? I contemplate it, but I passed. We revisit this a third time when he says I could get the warranty for $1,000. I'm sitting here with my mind blown. Now I feel like you're trying to squeeze extra dollars out of me. I really hoped this process would have been a happy one, but needless to say, it left a really bad taste in my mouth. So if you go, don't pay full price for the comprehensive warranty because I learned that they're AT LEAST able to shave $1,200 OFF of the price if you wait a few minutes. No one wants to feel like you're being "played" or "hustled", that's exactly how I felt. UNBELIEVABLE. The process was so overwhelming for me, I could not stop crying. My friend thought it was because I was excited about my new car. It may have been that coupled with the fact that I have this great car and poor service that I don't know if I'll regret my decision later because obviously I don't feel comfortable or know what to believe. No one should feel like that when leaving the dealership. This is my fourth Nissan Altima, by the way. They are great cars! This is my first time buying from Loughead, and my last. What a learning experience this was. Shop around and stay away.
It took me many test drives at different dealerships before purchasing my 2012 Nissan Maxima. I went to Lexus, Acura, Honda, and Toyota prior to purch...asing my Maxima. I deal with Tom Palmer at Loughead over several months before buying. The experiene with Tom was excellent. He never pressured me during the process. I finally purchased the car in August of 2012 and I love, love, love my Maxima and this dealership. I take my car there for maintainance and always stop in to see Tom, who treats me like a friend. The service is excellent. I highly recommend this dealership and Tom Palmer. A lot of dealerships treat you well during the sales process -- Loughead treats customers well for the life of the car.
I wrote a scathing review of Loughead Nissan on August 13th, 2015 about my experience. At the time I hadn't known all of the details involved in my pa...rticular case. However, I took to several review boards. The President himself called me in to discuss my matter, and he really took his time and went step by step. Through no fault of theirs, things went awry. The deal fell through, really based on steps that I took following receipt of the Swap Program offer. For example: The Swap Program is for individuals that have been paying on a loan for a certain period of time. During that period between them mailing it to me and actually going in; I refinanced my car. This made the opportunity null and void. Furthermore, it is for individuals with one car loan...I co-signed on my girlfriends car loan. Again, nullifying the process. However, the computer nor I could know that this would happen. Ted Loughead was a stand up guy and called me in as a man and we talked...for a couple of hours. There were a few other unforeseen issues, but I just want to recant my earlier review. I learned a lot from this, and Ted Loughead. My apologies sir!
I was sent some paperwork in the mail about the 'Swap Program' through Nissan. I was preapproved for up to $39,000. The mail stated that my car paymen...t per month was about $600, and I could swap my car for a lower payment at Loughead Nissan. On 08/11/15 I went because I was interested in seeing the new Maxima and Murano. Eileen was nice enough and talked me into letting them run my credit because they could switch me into a lease. After running my credit, she stated that my credit was strong enough, but my cash flow wasn't. This puzzled me as they stated that I was paying $600, and they were cutting my payment by a couple of hundred dollars. So she asked if my girlfriend would co-sign, because that would be enough. After 'she' spoke to my girlfriend and assuring her that it would happen...she agreed. The next day we arrived at 10:00am with her pay stubs. They ran her credit and said that it would take a few seconds. After a half an hour they said that it would take longer, so I said that they could call me when everything is completed. They never called me back. I received an email from Eileen that was just a general email. The next day I received a call from Nissans customer service to ask how was my experience. I told the woman that I didn't know, as I haven't been called. She said that she was going to inform them immediately. I still haven't received a call and today is 08/13/15. I just have a real issue with running both of our credit for nothing. Its as if they are purposely trying to hurt people. These salespeople will lie for no reason whatsoever. I have a 2010 Infiniti I didn't need a 'Swap', but I deserved a call back.
We have bought 4 cars and have had nothing but the most profesional and friendly experience. They have all been late model used cars. All fair deals a...nd fine autos...Ilene is a pleasure to deal with!
I just wanted to let you know about my experience on Saturday. You have the friendliest staff and everyone was so helpful. I am so in love with my Rog...ue (even though I have only had it 2 days) - and the help that Eileen gave me was absolutely wonderful. My neighbor was buying my old car and Eileen, Mike and Pat were able to help us transfer everything over so that we did not have to go somewhere else to do all this. We were both able to drive off the lot with our cars. Eileen was very knowledgeable about the car and was about as excited as I was. I also appreciated the fact that when I talked to Pat on Friday morning and told him that I could not get there before Saturday he made sure that the car was not sold. I actually drove the car from your dealership to a party that my brother & sister-in-law were having and I was able to show the car off to everyone. You can be assured I will highly recommend your dealership to anyone who is in the market for a Nissan and that I will be bringing my car in for service whenever it is due
I received multiple phone calls/messages a day that were rude and insulting! I will never buy a car from this dealership! I could not believe my exper...ience with them. I do not know how they sell cars treating people this way.
Had a wonderful experience in Service today, I just had to let Loughead know. I came in without an appointment, and even though my salesperson retired... 4 years ago, it was treated so professional and with a smile. As a female, you don't normally get that in car places. Thank you for helping me understand my Nissan! I look forward to buying my next Nissan at Loughead.
Thanks to Eileen! They were able to get me great rates at a local credit union that afforded me to upgrade my model compared to other dealership. I am... so happy!!! Sending all my friends to Loughead. The place and Eileen could not be any warmer or service driven,
Pat, sales manager, was perfect. He helped my son get out of a bad lease on a Hyundai we had. So glad my coworker recommended Pat and Loughead.
