Todd hayes service manager needs to be replaced. I had some work done and I had some concerns with the way some stuff was put back together. So asked Todd after his service advisor tried to give me the run around. Would you have touched this part during my last repairs because it just flew off on the freeway. His response maybe I did maybe I didn't but you can't prove it. Sorry buddy but I did prove it to subaru. They ended up paying for your mistakes. The same one i was trying to explain to you when you walked away from me in middle of conversation. Manager please. Berkshire Hathaway group needs to step in and see your bad for business. Go to peoria subaru or Chandler superstore they are way nicer and treat people way better. Trust me I've been to all three this one is the worst. I've never seen this kinda shady service at any dealer. And I currently use 3 different car dealers to maintain my cars. This dealer sucks.

I was trying to buy this car from another state. They were unwilling to allow the use of a legal Power of Attorney document so that my partner, who is a mechanic and flies for free could take care of the purchase. They were slow with getting stuff together and mailing documents. Would have taken over a week to get the car. I needed a car right way, so we walked away from the deal. They were unconcerned with my situation and there was poor (albeit) email communication. I was very disappointed - until we found a similar car with a lower price and 35,000 less miles! This new company was very willing to accept the POA documents!

All of the horror shows of a car-buying experience can be found here. I made a deal on a 2017 Passsat SE in October of 2016. I spent over four hours at the showroom. They paid for lunch, but I don't get paid to sit at a car dealership cooling my heels. When I asked them to match the Internet deal, they gave me a song and dance and then had me sign an agreement to purchase at the advertised price. I left the dealership with the car, assuming we had a genuine deal. Until the finance person called me back two days later because the deal fell through. Suddenly a zero down deal meant a down payment. After speaking with a couple of people, I was assured it would be worked out, and someone would call me back. I went about my business. A few days later, they are wondering why I never brought the car back to make a new arrangement. I brought it back, all right, and took my old car back. Yo-yo finance, or spot delivery, is typical of unsavory dealers. The FTC has already filed lawsuits against several California dealers for such questionable practices. What surprises me is the Camelback VW and other former Van Tuyl dealerships are now owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, as part of an $8 billion deal. I expected better of Buffet, or maybe they just don't care.

I set an appointment on a Tuesday morning after striking out on Saturday for a fully upgraded Impreza limited because the sales rep, Dale, said that was the best day to get a deal. This time around it was a totally different experience. Even though I was looking at a model 2 tiers lower, there was no test drive or formalities. I was immediately asked to just fill out my information to pull credit. Dale came back with the finance manager, who did not introduce himself. According to their finance manager, who would not give me his name or card (6'3" with brown hair. Probably late 40's), "online prices are not real", "Kelly Blue Book is wrong with evaluations and purchase prices because they have so many variables", "consumer research does not matter because he works in the car industry", and his "cell phone bill is higher than $300/mo, so don't expect anything close to that over 72 months on any Subaru." Subaru Camelback also "does not negotiate more than $20/month lower because dealerships do not make money on new cars...or even used cars. Only service" That also would need his General Managers approval. Dale also said he'd "fight for me", but just sat back not saying a word, drifting off into space the whole time. Poor service. Very unprofessional. The price quoted was also the same price they quoted for the fully loaded Limited Impreza three days prior. The worst part was probably the finance manager unleashing insults about other Subaru dealerships in the area as well as any car that isn't a Subaru (including the Volkswagen and Mazdas he sells), and how he hates the internet. He brought up the cell phone price multiple times. I pay $80/mo for unlimited so if he is paying $300+/mo I feel bad for him, or he is a liar. I was able to have the experience I wanted at one of the dealerships he insulted.
