Cars overpriced compared to other Volvo dealers

Certified pre owned vehicle with 40k miles was way overpriced and on their lot for 65 days, I made offer just under what they were asking and they refused to budge (no problem!). We ended up finding the exact same vehicle, same features, etc at Volvo Carlsbad for less money, and 10,000 less miles!! Two stars because I appreciate them rejecting my offer so I could get a better one elsewhere!

I Mean where do I start.

I Mean where do I start. This Volvo is absolutely horrendous in customer service in every manageable way they can be. for the last two years every time you try to make an appointment 6 weeks out. This last week i had an appointment that the lady booked for me within a week, i was so surprosed. Then i get sick that week and had to reschedule so i cancel, then i call in and they said 2 months till i can get my car in. My car is flashing ON CALL. I mean how can you have a luxury dealership with such horrendous service. I don't get it. The manager replies to my yelp today saying best of luck there are great other Volvo dealerships. I mean the audacity and the trash service don't even begin to describe this place. Stay away from a VOLVO and stay away from this place MOST DEFINITELY.

Deceitful Practices and Poor Quality - Avoid Volvo

It is with deep disappointment that I write this review about my recent experience with Volvo Cars Orange County. I'm an owner of a Volvo XC90, previously used as a dealership car. At the time of purchase, the dealership failed to disclose that my warranty would be prematurely shortened. Despite being well within the mileage limit (10,000 miles below the 50,000-mile cut-off), my warranty expired two months earlier than it should have. It's disheartening to think a dealership that prides itself on customer service and transparency would essentially rob a customer of six months of warranty time. I find this behavior by Volvo Cars Orange County to be dishonest and deceptive. I urge potential buyers to consider this review carefully before making a purchase. If they can do it to me, they can do it to anyone. Moreover, I have experienced a multitude of mechanical issues with my XC90. For a brand that is supposedly renowned for its quality and reliability, it is shocking how problematic this vehicle has been. The technology within the car is also super buggy, causing more frustration than convenience. The integrity of a brand isn't solely measured by the quality of the products they produce but also by how they treat their customers post-purchase. Volvo Cars Orange County and Volvo in general have failed terribly in both respects. I regret purchasing my vehicle from Volvo Cars Orange County and strongly urge potential buyers to look elsewhere. Seek a dealership and a brand that values you as a customer and is transparent about their policies. Unfortunately, from my experience, you will not find that at Volvo Cars Orange County or with Volvo cars in general. I hope my unfortunate experience serves as a warning to others. Be informed, ask questions, and remember, sometimes an apparently great deal can come with unseen costs.

Alex sales manager

Horrible customer service. The sales manager should take a hike and start picking water melons for a living. He doesn’t know anything about cars or where god put him. Hopefully somebody from head office sees this and tosses you out on the streets where you belong.

PARTS REPLACWEMENT

iF YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC TO BE REPLACED ON YOUR VEHICLE BE SURE IT GETS DONE DON'T JUST TAKE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT'S WORD FOR IT. BECAUSE YOU JUST MIGHT GET A BIG SURPRISE THAT IT WAS NOT DONE. BE SURE YOU SEE THE PART THAT WAS REPLACED OR DEALER MIGHT JUST BE KEEPING IT TO RE-SELL TO ANOTHER PARTY. THIS DEALER DOES GOOD WORK ON OTHER, BUT REPLACING PARTS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ONE OF THEM.

If you expect great customer service think again!

I don’t know how Volvo expects to sell $100k plus cars coupled with such awful service. The underwhelming customer service experience should cause you to think twice. They are nice but absolutely incompetent and inefficient.

They do not know how to communicate with a customer and

They do not know how to communicate with a customer and now I am out of my car for two days. My advisor was a guy name Ben and he told me that he will give me a call around 1 pm on the day I dropped my vehicle at 9 am to let me know what is needed and what the cost will be. I did not receive any call from him so I called back at 3 pm. A lady told me he was at lunch and she will have him call me back. I waited until 4 pm and called back. Finally, Ben answered and the work will cost me close to a $1000 and needed my approval to perform the work. I asked why he did not call me to discuss earlier and he did not say anything. I approved the work and he promised me that it will be done by early afternoon of next day. Following day and called again for update at 8 am. Ben answered and told me that he will let me know when it is done. I asked for brake service since he told me that would be needed very soon. He said, he will find out if all of that can be done today from a mechanic by 3 pm. I did not receive a call until 3:30 pm. I called around 4 pm and Ben told me that the mechanic that was working on my vehicle was off today and he did not know that until I called at 4 pm for him to go out to talk to the technician. Now I am out of car again for second day. Ben told me that he will have someone else work on the car tomorrow to finish the work but I do not know if I can trust that. Maybe I get this kind of service because I am an Asian? I do not like to think that and as a veteran, I just hope that it gets better from here Update: I called again on following morning, today, to get an update. The front desk lady told me that Ben is off today. REALLY? And he did not have decency to let me know that he was going to be off on following day, yesterday? Now the front desk lady was trying to resolve this issue for me. She promised me that she will call back an hour later and she did. She informed me that she spoke to the manager and promised me a loaner vehicle for me to drive so I can go to work while my car is in the shop. I will see if that actually happens. UPDATE 2: I got a loaner vehicle same day she promised me. I am hoping that the this issue is only pertain to certain part of the dealership. Now I wait for my vehicle to be fixed. Let's see how long that takes. I brought up another star due to the service provided by the Admin lady that works at the service center.

I rated for one star that’s because there is no negative...

I rated for one star that’s because there is no negative star. I was referred to this Volvo dealer by Costco auto buy program which was disaster. The sales man tried to convince me that he was giving a big discount by showing the car price which was $3,840 higher than the sticker price!!! Simply DON’T GO TO THIS VOLVO DEALER for any business.

Poor Service

Took my car in for a software upgrade on the Door Keys on Friday Morning and was told the work would take 2 to 3 Hours. After 4 hours, I was told they could not get the work done until next Monday or Tuesday as they did not have enough Techs available. I asked why they scheduled my appointment if they could not do the work. The Adviser was very rude and said it was beyond his control but would get it done next week. They are very irresponsible and don’t seem to really care about their customers. I will take the car to another dealer. This will be the last Volvo I ever own.
