Bad business

Came into look at the Grand Cherokee was working with Shawn we looked at one we really liked but it was high up there so we were recommended the Altitude and my car payment would be under $600 but they didn’t have any in, we got a text saying they finally got “one” in we drive all the way up there and they didn’t even have any in and the first thing he says was about a grand wagoneer that my mother in law was looking at but she is all the way in VA so why was that the main concern? Because it’s more commission! And then says the One WE were looking at won’t come in for weeks so what was the point to waste our time to come up there and not even have that promised car payment either!! And to top that he was rude when we told him we were okay!


Terrible Experience!!

I had an oil change appt on Friday. I was sitting waiting and the service manager called me into his office to tell me his service tech popped one of my tires while pulling my car off the lift, hitting the lift arm. He was going to replace that for me. Well I sure the heck hope so. But I get home and find out he should at least replace all or one other to match the tread but pretty sure since I was a WOMAN, he failed to even mention it. Then had my husband call and talk to the manager and they told me to come up to measure the tread and thought they would at least place the one that is at 50%. Nope called back and said they won’t. So now I will end up having more issues and will never go back to Thompson. Bought my car there and all service has been done there for over 6 years. NEVER AGAIN!!! Avoid this place if you can. I am so pissed off at this place, I didn’t do anything wrong, your tech did. I know accidents happen but fix it the right way. Thanks for sending me to ADAMS or JONES Jeep for future service or purchases. I hope you lose all of your business!!

WORST service department EVER!!! I had an appt and dropped my truck off on a Wednesday morning. They called me that evening to tell me my car wasn’t seen yet but should be tomorrow. Thursday no phone call, I called them. “Oh we should have an answer for you tomorrow”. Oh so my car is with a tech being checked? “Uh, no. But it will tomorrow”. Now it’s Friday and STILL NO PHONE CALL. I call them. “Umm, I’m sorry we’re really backed up”. WELL DID U KNOW THAT 3 DAYS AGO WHEN U TOLD ME TO BRING MY TRUCK IN!!! THE WORST!!!!!!!! I CAN ONLY BLAME MANAGEMENT. HORRIBLE BUSINESS THOMPSON!!!!

Horrible Experience

The whole process was horrible. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. The salesman never walked around the car with me to inspect it so when I discovered a ding on the door the next day they said I did it. When I finally drove off the lot after being there for 5 hours, it was dark out. I don't like being called a liar. When I talked to the financial guy about it, he said he had to talk to his manager. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I called and left a message. Two months later he calls me back, but only because he lost my paper work. The salesman didn't listen when I said I was a member of a credit union and wanted to use them for the loan because they were offering a discount. I had to run to and from the bank and dealership twice to have it taken care of because he didn't listen to me. If you are looking to buy a car, do NOT buy from Thompson in Edgewood, MD. You will regret it.
