A reply was that you changed ownership in 2018 and it would be better. Doesn’t look like reviews went up. Won’t be coming there now.
I had an appointment to see a used car. I was on time and they made me wait an hour just to tell me the car was sold. A bunch of liars work here. Avoid... them!
Just leased my 4th Toyota from Grossinger City Toyota. Excellent dealer in Chicago. My salesman Abdul and sales manager Jay treat me like gold every time... I'm there. No pressure, will go out of their way to give me an extremely competitive deal, and never pushes for unneeded extras to my vehicle. Service Department is excellent. Highly recommended.
I am very disappointed with Toyota dealerships in general but especially with Lincoln Park because the employee told me that Toyota sold me a brand new... car with a defective battery just to make a sale and pawn off problems on me, the customer. I was told that my car didn't start because it had been sitting at the dealership and the battery wasn't charged but that would have only made sense if I just bought the car. I have been driving the car for 6 months and then it randomly wouldn't start. When I asked what was wrong, the employee initially laughed in my face and said I don't know because the battery tests came back fine. But then my paperwork says it wasn't fine...what a mess. Makes me want to vomit thinking about ever going back.
1- I had a very simple question I needed answered about a particular model (such as, does the Corolla come with heated seats?). Rather than answer it,... they kept insisting on asking me questions. After several more exchanges I gave up. I called another Toyota dealership and they gave me the answer within 2 minutes. 2- I made an appointment to test drive a specific car, but when I arrived the car was nowhere to be found. Yet they were so disorganized that they made me wait for nearly half an hour while they brought it down for me. They were not apologetic about the fact that they did not uphold their part of the deal in having the car available, and that they did not even try and notify me when they realized (or rather should have realized) that the car I was making a special trip in to see would not be available. 3- is it that hard to wear a mask?! about half of the employees I saw were not wearing masks, and some were wearing a mask with their nose sticking out. Where is their concern for their customers? This experience taught me that, in fact, they have no concern for their customers.
Do not buy from this dealer. Sold me a car in Chicago in 2018. Moved to Atlanta in 2019. When I applied to register my car in Atlanta, the Atlanta DMV... noticed that the mileage on the VIN did not matchup. Carfax put a red alert on the VIN and I am still trying to find out the exact mileage on the car. Apparently, it was in an accident prior to dealer purchasing. Car sat on their lot for sale for 4 months until they say me coming, Had I not relocated, I would not have found this out.
Recent shop work ,ok but price and diagnostic information was lacking . I didn’t receive a copy of the diagnostic print out . The bill was noticeably high... than estimated.
Went in to look for a used Corolla. A bunch of salesmen were swearing at each other's direction as I walked in. It took me 15 minutes to speak to someone... and by that time, I was approached with "yeah, this kind of thing happens here all the time. I apologize." At that point, I left. Very unprofessional place and can't imagine being a committed customer to that location.
I’ve been researching exactly what Toyota I wanted to buy. Salesman was TERRIBLE. Could not answer questions. Left me and friend stuck on the 3rd floor... of the building in an open garage with the elevator jammed. We had to find an emergency exit.
Went to buy a New Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. We were interested in the XLE Trim in a gray or black color. They told us that the only one they had was up in Michigan... so they'd have to drive up there and get it. After waiting three or four days and having to call four or five times we finally got an answer on the car, it 'was damaged' and they couldn't sell it to us. How they didn't do their due diligence ahead of time to see if one of Toyota's own New cars was damaged is beyond me. I think that they likely sold the car and this was their backpedal. So we waited for them to locate a different car, also in another state. They kept emphasizing what a terrible inconvenience it was for them to have to go get these cars, even though we were about to give them nearly $40,000 and patiently waited while they got their slip-shod operations in order. We went to see the latest one they found yesterday, and the specs we were promised were missing. After our salesperson promised us 'oh yeah all of that come in every XLE standard, no question'... well here it was and guess what was missing, most of what we wanted. So we went back in to their office and tried to find another one. After locating what we hoped would be 'the one' we went back out to look at the one we were looking at. At that moment Pete, the sales manager, popped up and started aggressively questioning us. He didn't introduce himself, no nametag, no 'hi how are you?'. He said 'What don't you like? Why don't you want this one?'. We responded that it didn't have XM Radio (by the way Toyota, what New car doesn't have XM?), and that the screen was crappy compared to the nicer option available. He said 'fine we'll give you your money back, fine' angrily. We hadn't paid for the car yet. This guy was quite obviously amped up for a fight. We said 'well we found one we like that's right in Milwaukee' to which he replied 'No, we're done with that. No more dealer trades. We're done'. As if we were inconveniencing him with our business. No apologies for the four visits we had to this dealership with fifteen people working but only one who would pay us an ounce of attention. Pete could not have been more unprofessional. No handshake, no introduction, no 'how can we make this right?' like a true salesman. I will be telling every single person I know who might be in the market for a car where to avoid, Toyota of Lincoln Park. As long as Pete works there, I will make it my mission to spread their bad reputation. Pete was so rude and inconsiderate that I will never step foot in this place as long as he works there. We had a $36,000 check in hand to give this place, and Pete single-handedly ruined it.
