I was helping an LA friend, trying to get an agreement on a car and price over the phone. As you all know... this is a no no in this business. Well it... worked out extremely well at this dealership, and Pat was great....what a square guy...very fair and reasonable. In today's world of internet knowledge, busy customers, and economic times...a person and dealership that will work with you and help the process along is like water in the desert. Thanks ! I worked with Matt Lopez, Barber Honda's Internet/Fleet Department Manager and he was able to beat the pricing of every Northern California Honda dealer by thousands of dollars. He was also very easy to deal with. He was very upfront and transparent with taxes, fees, and pricing and provided a hassle free experience. When I arrived at the dealership to buy the car it only took 1 hour from when I entered to when I left to complete all the paperwork and drive out of the dealership with my new Pilot! I bought a new car at another dealership in Fresno, CA in August of 2014 but I currently work in Bakersfield, CA. While I was driving to Bakersfield b...y tire blew out. I went to Barbour Honda in Bakerfield CA to see if my tire was under warranty. I asked since my car was only about 2 months old if the tire was under warranty. The lady who was helping me (Erma) told me that the tires had no warranties. I had no choice but to buy a new tire costing me $200. I later contacted an authorized Michelin tire dealership and I was told that I got a "fast one" pulled on me and if I had gone to them first that I would have most likely had the tire replaced free of charge. If you have a new car and a tire goes out, do not go to Barbour Honda. First go to an authorized dealer of make for your tires. I wish I was given this option but now I am unfortunately out $200.
My husband and I were looking to buy a Minnie Van. We dealt with two different sales men that both seemed to have an attitude problem. We had a diffic...ult situation and they seemed like they didn't even want to help us. Every time I spoke I was given a dirty look or they would address the answer to my husband. We said over and over again that we did not want to lease a vehicle and they kept pushing that on us, they didn't seem to care about what we were looking for and I got the impression like they thought their dealership was above us. I will never go back to Honda in Bakersfield ca and will let my family and friends know about my experience there.
New or used, I buy all my cars here from Pat Mantle. He is the most sincere salesperson I have ever met. I am sure all the rest of the sales staff i...s just as nice, but I feel comfortable with Pat.
Always wanted a Honda. Always hated the process of buying a car. The crew at Barber made it really easy. I was concerned about my credit but they work...ed out a real good interest rate. I am soooo happy with my new car. I have had service work done here before and have always been satisfied with the results. I love that they have accommodations for young children.
Our salesman Matt Lopez was very informative with all aspects of this model car. Witch is the Accord and worked for us to get the perfect deal.
This is the worst dealership in town. The manager Roy was rude and treated bad because I was a woman. He looked down on me and made litte jokes he tho...ught I wouldnt understand. I could hear him and the finace manager using bad words and laughing at my credit. I got my Honda in Lancaster. Sorry but I will not support a dealership that employs these bozos.
