Sad to be writing this as I was planning on having all of

Sad to be writing this as I was planning on having all of my maintenance done on my 22 Tacoma here but I feel like I should warn people of this location. I went in for my 30,000 milestone check (which wasn’t cheap because it’s a big package). When I went to pick up my truck I saw on my Toyota app that one of my tires was a little lower than the others. I assumed they forgot to fill that one which is no big deal and I was going to do it myself but a couple minutes as I pulled out of the garage at their location, I realized they had punctured my tire on the sidewall and I soon had a flat. Unfortunately I picked up my vehicle right before closing so my calls were not answered or returned. When I finally got through 3 days later after I had to buy and put a new tire on. (Another 200$)I explained the whole situation and they told me in summary that if I can’t prove it was them there’s nothing they can do about it. I just don’t feel safe bringing my vehicle there anymore without any accountability. Who knows, maybe next time I’ll pick it up with a huge scratch down the side and not be able to prove it was them.

My car was returned after the mechanic jammed the e-brake and destroyed brakes that were less than one year old. Larry Caldwell was my service writer for this visit. He refused to repair the damage.

Service department is terrible

Dropped a 2020 Corolla off that is still covered under the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper factory warranty. The vehicle has never been in an accident. The service rep Jeremy Wolfe was adamant that the only reason a piece of the bumper was sticking out was because it had been in an accident, and therefore not covered under warranty. He claimed it was obviously in an accident because the “solid metal” piece was bent. When I asked him to retrieve the piece and show me, he brought out a plastic piece that had 2 broken clips on the top. The vehicle has never been in any type of accident and shows no signs at all of any accident. When I asked to speak to a manager to get clarification on the bill and why it wasn’t being covered, he then told me he was the manager. I later found out this wasn’t true. To put the icing on the cake when my wife got home (we live 2 miles away) she realized it wasn’t even fixed in the first place. The bumper is still not sitting flush. As of right now I would inform anyone who is looking for a dealership specifically In regards to service avoid this place at all cost. Update #1- A case with Toyota corporate has been filed, still waiting on the issue to be resolved.

What a great experience

We just bought a 2021 RAV4 and couldn’t be happier. Ozzie Reece was our salesman and he was such a pleasure to work with he did everything he promised. It was a great experience dealing with him and the finance department. There was no pressure and I would recommend Pearson to anyone. I will definitely go back when I purchase another vehicle.

Dealer response

Everyone here loves to hear from customers like you, Ann! Thanks for giving Pearson Toyota a chance, and for leaving such wonderful feedback! We hope you enjoy your new RAV4!

Doesnt Care

We took our 18 year old son here to buy his first car that he had literally been saving for his entire life for. so he could have a reliable car for school and work. we got a 2008 Rav. So after 5 months and 1200 miles the car is eating oil to the tune of a quart every 100 miles. After research we have found that there is a service bulletin for this year make and model for bad piston rings. With the car going to a major direct Toyota dealership once this car was brought through for inspection and put in the computer that would have popped up. This leads me to believe they knew of the problem but did not fix it and sold it as is. Upon realization that this was a major issue I called persons and spoke with Nigel who informed me I could pay the service cent to look at it and he could not do anything. I explained to him we picked Pearson's because we trusted that they were a direct dealer of the Toyota brand not some Mom and Pop off Jefferson Ave. I would never recommend anyone trust this dealership. You could have fixed the problem had a customer for life but you chose to laugh it off and wash your hands. I will also be in touch with Toyota Corporate and our Credit Union as I know Lenders do not want to be associated with this kind of behavior and Toyota likes to be better represented than this. Pearson's does not care about the consumer very sad. This is side street dealer behavior.

I had bought a tailgate extender off a guy for my Tocoma. He had all the hardware but didn’t have the template to where to drill the holes. I thought that Persons Toyota will have them laying around I’m sure. Boy was I wrong! They didn’t have or sell them because they come in the kit when you buy the extender. I was a little upset until the parts guy (Tony Vanes) took his time to help me with this problem and he found some instructions as well as the template. Now I can put my extender on right thanks to Mr. Vanes
